  1. Frank is ****ing thief and ripped a bunch of people off. His # is disconnected but he still lives in M'boro at the apartments people listed still as far as I know. He is looking at moving to TX in October and currently is working at Joelton gun shop teaching HCP classes. As far as him working at Outpost, he was fired I think once they found out who he was.
  2. Well my wife came home yesterday and loved the car. Now I am off to get a title/tag for it and will correct the title too. She is plotting and planning on how she wants to have the car look. I am adding up all of the things I need to do it just to make it ride safe and run well. Plus I have my 1985 CUCV blazer project I need to wrap up too. Oh well, maybe I will work on guns sometime in the future.
  3. Thanks. My kids are in a couple of his pics, including some for gun safety and also some are in the Canadian Firearms Journal.
  4. Those are all from Oleg. BTW, the girl with the M-1 Carbine is my daughter.
  5. Well it has a 302 bored .40 over w/ a Holley 650, 3-spd manual transmission, and 10-bolt rear end. Fast enough for my wife methinks. And it was a factory A/C car to boot so that should be nice to have also. And as far as the spam crap goes, I think I got it fixed. Downloaded Ad-Aware and it nuked it as far as I can tell.
  6. ETA: Found it. It was under the outer fender well stamped on the inner fender well, with a heavy coat of black paint on it. 7T01C1750XX 1967 Made in New Jersey 289 CID w/ 2bbl Carb # 1750XX built So I now have a mistitled vehicle. The previous owner somehow titled it with the build code, rather than the VIN. Hell the bank even put a lien on it when it was titled and removed the lien in 1990 after it was paid off.
  7. Picked up a project 1967 Mustang Coupe yesterday for my wife as a graduation present for finishing her doctoral program in psychology. Trying to decode the VIN is a no-go. Both the # on the inner drivers side fender and the door jam are the same. No other numbers can be found. The car was a greenish gold color, had factory A/C and a landau top. Interior is black. Other than that, not much else I am able to find out. The engine and front clip and not original to the car. VIN # on the title and the two previously listed spots are GA-29264 Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  8. The OC people fail to realize that there is only one reason the whole OC is allowed and that it was written into the law so that you would not get in trouble if somehow somebody saw you carrying, i.e. your shirt came up or something similar. Not so people can run around being attention whores and getting places off limits to HCP individuals. The placards mean squat to me. I am allowed to carry anywhere, sign or not. I do have a HCP also and my wife will be carrying when she gets back home. By getting places to ban that before people had diareah of the mouth wouldn't have thought twice about is counter-productive. I wish TN was a CCW state instead. Would make life alot easier on those of us that just wish to carry quietly like it was in Oklahoma where I moved from.
  9. Glad to see that she is coming together. Let me know if you need anymore help.
  10. Carry concealed. Ends alot of problems with these tards in the restaurants.
  11. And also how to sell out to the .gov to get a contract. W/Addendum on Bill Ruger.
  12. I tried to cancel my Model 1 order but couldn't find a way to do it online and nobody was answering phones. I got it in about 6 months after I ordered it.
  13. The one by me usually has some ammo. Just got 600 rounds of .223 the other day and they have been having 9, .40, and .45 lately.
  14. Glad to see that eveyone had a great time. Wish I could have stayed longer, next time I will for sure.
  15. There are many factors to consider. With the right load (68gr-75gr), good optic (10x or better), free float barrel (YHM or similar), and a bipod/solid rest, figure on 600-700 yards practical precision accuracy. At that range MOA is 6-7 inches, which is a good MOP (minute of person) accuracy for center mass hits. It is what we run our designated marksman through on the range and they ususally are not setup with all the goodies a civilian rifle has. This is IIRC what the US Army Designated Marksman Course does. My ANG unit for example uses ACOG TA-01NSN scopes on our standard 14.5 inch M-4's with no mods and we qualify out to 600 yards on that setup alone.
  16. How about some pics of the internals on the lower if you get a chance? Thanks in advance.
  17. On all of the guns that had the 7.5" uppers I built, including the one in the magazine article last year, all had standard buffers. These were standard GI uppers, not GP, so it might or might not make a difference depending on cycling speed. I can't remember if I told you when you picked up the lower from me, but you should try it with the standard buffer first, and then go from there.
  18. Super Sniper scopes that SWFA.Com carries are awesome for the money. Get past the cheesy name and you will see what I mean. I have used 10x and 16x ones for a couple of years and love them.
  19. According to the BATFE, if the receiver is torch cut in three places/pieces, then the receiver is considered destroyed. Just having the three cut pieces is not considered constructive intent, especially since when it is torched, pieces are obviously missing.
  20. Sabre Defence (AR's and soon to be domestic Steyr AUGs) Barrett Predator A few others I cannot remember off the top of my head.
  21. Don't read anything into this.... Try and get a NFA dealer/manufacturer to ship you a suppressor directly across state lines without going through a NFA dealer in your home state. Ain't gonna happen. Now if the suppressor was made in state that might be another matter. As far as a SBR goes, as long as it would never cross state lines after construction, then "technically" the commerce clause would not come into effect and the BATFE would "technically" have no jurisdiction.
  22. I am in Nashville and have a FFL on file with Brownells if you are closer to Nashville instead of BFE.
  23. Well Charles when I get back from overseas I will call you and we can get the AR done immediately...
  24. What can happen is that the grease it was shipped with can harden. Especially weapons built overseas tend to be overly greased compared to how american weapons are lubed when they leave the factory.
  25. Chances are on a pretty new gun, that the firing pin is okay. However, factory grease and whatnot can be getting in the loops of the spring or between the hammer and spring, causing the light primer strikes. Good cleaning and "maybe" a new firing pin spring sound in order.
