  1. Stay away from stop leak type products. Fix it right the first time! Those spring loaded clamps lose the strength after a while. try and find USA made screw type hose clamps. could be a split or pin hole in a hose as well. also the drain petcocks sometimes get a leak when the O-ring breaks or deteriorates. Many GM V shaped motors blow intake manifold gaskets. make sure you're not losing coolant there.
  2. I still flash them. I hate to see any municipality get any more revenue.
  3. Yeah, sick bastards. Guys that kill for antlers and leave the antlerless carcass to rot instead of eating or donating the meat would be considered sick bastards in my book.
  4. Had a problem once with Alcoa PD. Every LE agency other than Alcoa was a non issue.
  5. Get the night sights. A lot more practical than the laser and no dead battery to worry about when you need it the most. The night sights also help in locate the gun on the nightstand in the dark.
  6. I use cash. Can't go over my limit and if someone else gets whole of it, I'm dead so it doesn't matter much anymore.
  7. Yep. Best show on TV! Can't wait!
  8. Interestingly enough,Chicago is the only place i have ever had to pull a gun. That was in 1998.Haven't been back since.
  9. Sorry, not many folks looking to cops and politicians for lessons in morality these days. They've lost all my respect.
  10. Based on what Obamalamadingdong is doing to Boeing, I'd say he could care less about real jobs. Just taking care of the union scum that supported him.
  11. Nothing wrong with getting a nice Buck but to kill a creature only for the part you can't eat takes one sick bastard.
  12. I suppose i could have. Its built well enough.
  13. No. I wouldn't insult a badguy like that. Plus Blocks are to fragile. I wouldn't want to risk breaking that cheesy plastic guide rod.
  14. I agree on the Rugers and the Browning. Both awesome guns. The Buckmark fits my hand a little better. As for SA revolvers, the Ruger is another great gun but feels to small in my hand. I found the EAA Bounty Hunter more to my liking. Its a bigger gun than the Ruger. Excellent quality, made in Germany. If money is no object, in semi auto I recommend the Colt Woodsman or S&W model 41. In DA revolvers the S&W 617 with the 10 shot cylinder. My favorite is the Colt Trooper.
  15. Those look neat. Glad it's a shooter! That range in Norris always was fun. Do you still have to go to the police station to get the key? I haven't been in years but i still have a key. I'm sure its not the same lock now.
  16. I think a fanny pack would be fine as long as you are also wearing a pleather members only type jacket at the same time.
  17. I have been within 15 yards of a blackbear in the Smokies. It could care less if I was there or not. It did not have cubs though. Never worried about bears up there. Boars maybe but my biggest fear there creatures with two legs.
  18. I have a dream now and then I that I need to shoot a bad guy put I'm in an extremely crowded place and can't get a clean shot so I beat him with a blunt object instead.
  19. 10/22 hands down. best reliability, accuracy, accessories, ease of cleaning/disassembly. I have owned most of them and shot all of them. The Marlin 60 is a good gun but they hate Blazer ammo if you're cheap.I'd rather have an old Remington Nylon 66 than the Marlin. The Ruger will keep on shooting. I will never sell my 10/22! Plus it uses the same magazines as my 77/22. CZ bolt actions are amazing and so are the Henry lever actions.

    "Big Game" Guns

I have a Marlin Guide gun in 45/70 if you're interested. It's the early factory ported edition. It's mint and I don't think it's had 50 rounds through it. I'm not far from you either.
  21. very possible. Still not 100% convinced. I'll base my choice on someones voting record.
  22. I see nothing but positive reasons for OCing. I am a tree climber and I am always dirty and wearing T shirts and shorts. I'm not wasting time out of my day to worry if my gun is concealed and I am or am not offending someone. I also could care less about the element of surprise. I'd rather the criminals see my gun and avoid me than have to deal with them at all. CC is just plain miserable. I am tired of wasting money trying to find that one comfortable CC holster. I do not believe one exsists. I agree with previous posters. If more people open carried,Tennessee and the rest of the world wold be a safer place.
  23. Nothing wrong with an Alex Jones promo. He may have used his producer.
