  1. I am really leaning toward a 1911.  I had a Springfield many years ago while I was in the Navy, but it was stolen and I never replaced it.  Might be the right time to replace it with a Springfield Range Officer.
  2. No revolvers at all! I need to add that item to the list! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. So I am supposed to receive a bonus for hitting 20 years at my employer and what better way to celebrate than to buy a new handgun. I have usually just picked up used guns over the years, and now I am struggling to stay focused on choosing another handgun. I feel like a kid in the candy store that can't decide what to buy!!! Sig P320? Full size 1911? I could always pick up another Glock !! Decisions, decisions!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I am speechless!!!!!! Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk 2
  5. Murfreesboro city council opted out when the state law was passed that allowed licensed citizens to carry in parks a couple of years ago and banned firearms in all city parks including the greenway and posted signs everywhere. Those signs have been removed from several entrances to the greenway and their website has changed to mention no weapons are allowed in park buildings and athletic fields, but not the entire system as before. Even though they opted out and already had the proper signs to continue banning all weapons for licensed citizens, they must have quietly changed their policy. I live in the county but use the greenway system often, but I have a hard time believing they gave up their banning efforts without somebody in the boro screaming about blood running in the streets without a ban. 6. I am a bit shocked.  Haslam actually signed it.   http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SB1774
  7. I almost sold my old Beretta 84 in order to have the money to buy a Shield.  After I cleaned up the Beretta, I just couldn't do it.  I'll just have to save up for it!
  8. Sounds great, but I will not be able to make it this weekend!  Have you been lately and seen the new targets they have for sale?  They have some skeleton targets that creep my daughter out!
  9. Looks like the Governor is on the clock now.  Bill was finally transmitted to him.    http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SB1774
  10. According to the TN Legislature web site, the last action on the bill was the H. Speaker signed it and it has not been transmitted to Halem yet.  The 10 day period doesn't begin until it is transmitted to him.  http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SB1774   If Haslem vetos the bill while the legislature is adjourned, it is my understanding the legislature would have to come back for a special session to override.  If they do not come back in session to override, the bill would be dead.    I did send an email to the bill sponsor, Sen. Mike Bell and he replied that he does not believe Haslem will veto the bill.  (Wouldn't hold my breath, but he does think Haslem will sign it or just let it become law without his signature on it.)  I am not in Mike Bell's district, but he did take the time to respond to my email.
  11. It is listed as an installed update. When you open up Programs and features you will see all your programs. Look to the left of the screen and look for an option "View installed updates" Click on that option and then keep scrolling until you see the internet explorer version you want to remove. 12. Very good day at the range. It was great meeting all the members there while I sighted in my rifle before deer season opens up. Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk 2
  13. I want to thank everyone in group 1 for their help in this competition. This was my second competition and to say I struggled is an understatement. I appreciate Rick, Robert, RickB, and Mike helping me through the stages. I shot awful, but I still had an awesome time at the match. Randall P
  14. I look forward to being there Saturday for my 2nd competition.
  15. Had a blast--beats shooting paper targets at the range by far! Well worth the drive from Murfreesboro to participate. I also enjoyed being in Alan's group and meeting all of you guys that make these events possible. Thank you and I look forward to competing as often as I can. Randall Phifer
  16. I plan to be there for the first time!! It will nice to meet Greg in person instead of wearing him out with emails!!!
  17. How much do they charge to shoot at the range?
