  1. This is absurd.
  2. Here's a source for some parts: http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=082Zz1894%20EARLY%20MODEL Kudos for working to keep an heirloom in working order!

    S&W 340 PD

Magnum cartridges in a snubby are punishing, even in a steel version... I'm not sure I'd really care though, at the time I really had to use it. The 340 I've fired really wasn't uncontrollable for reasonably accurate, repeated shots. In an adrenalin-enhanced death-grip, I wouldn't expect it to be any less accurate than .38s... those with weak hands need not apply, however, of course.
  4. Sure one could be arrested (cops have alot of leeway with regard to what they can do, and how loosely they can interpret something as a crime). But the sign wouldn't hold up in court. Just depends on what is of more value... your life or your temporary inconvenience. As soon as I have another option with regard to telecommunications providers, Charter won't be getting any more of my money.
  5. You probably could've gotten 2 G23s for that HK45... Damn man. It's not the end of the world, but... just... damn... Next thing ya' know Mars will buy one... This is indeed proof that Hell is endothermic.
  6. AnTi-Christ... heh. Implausible though, 'O' is too pathetic to pull of world domination or playing a deity.
  7. Too bad they didn't get the tail-number of the jet in the shot... ATC666
  8. My local Charter location has the same sign. It carries no legal weight.
  9. I bet it comes with a helluva gun lock.
  10. The LEO gets his authority from the law. If no law has been broken or invoked, there is no authority.
  11. Wish I could have made it guys. I just couldn't get my butt in gear today... just wasn't feeling it. Hope that those who showed had a good time!
  12. 5.11 pants, man...
  13. The only hard part is, is that if you don't have any picture ID on you at all... all the LEO knows is that the person you say that you are has a License and a Permit. Some might be able to pull up your photo on-file, but if not, it'll probably take more than just a little bit of explaining.
  14. All I've heard is that it is a dark and disturbing movie... but well done.
  15. Fixed that for ya'.
  16. Problem is, the law states that you must have it in your possession. I'm sure they could verify that you have a valid permit... but the way the law is worded, a cop wanting to hassle you would have a perfect avenue by which to do so.
  17. Did that once going shooting... Nothing like having a car loaded down with an AK, a shotgun, 5 handguns, and a couple thousand rounds of ammo over an hour from home that will just pucker a hole in the seat everytime you see a cruiser.
  18. Nothing wrong with getting a 26" 12ga semi-auto for both... as long as it has screw-in chokes. Semi-autos soak up more recoil, making shooting more enjoyable. 20ga is a great clay-shooting shell, but may not fill the turkey-hunting niche very well. 3" chamber is fine.
  19. Who was it that said 5 shots in a snubby would solve any problem we'd likely face? 8 guys... now there's a drill to practice...
  20. The beer that I drink has 99cal per serving. I stay within my daily allowance by just eating one meal per day. Simple solution. If I was on a J.D. diet... I'd probably just not eat at all. It is our duty to consume any adult beverages before kids have a chance to get to them. It's the only way.
  21. Saw Hancock last night... what a let-down. I think I'm going to see Dark Knight on Sunday. We'll see.
  22. We should demand a ban on fatty foods! It's for the children!
  23. On one hand, cheaper 9mm ammo would pay for the barrel within 2-3 cases. If you shoot that much in a year, it would be worth it. On the other hand... .40s&w isn't much more expensive for low-volume practice, and you'll remain accustomed to the gun in the carry configuration. That is important.
