I got this from a family member for Christmas and I'm perplexed by it. The only part I know the make of is the Weaver scope. The rest, action, bolt and stock have no markings. The safety says Mark II and the barrel has a 30-06 marking. Can anyone chime in with details based on the pics?

Tragedy and emotion should not lead to the government mandating what private citizens need. Got an email back from my congressman today after i voiced my position and he is "against the new bill requiring all teachers to carry." He either misspoke or doesn't know the bill very well.
