1.     Yes.   http://blog.silencershop.com/atf-41f-guarantee/
2. I've got a 16" version as well and love it.  It makes a great suppressor host beater gun that manages nice groups with good ammo.   I polished up the trigger on mine and it made a significant difference.
3. I bought one from Midway on sale several years ago and have loaded many thousands of rounds with it.    The main issue I have is due to my laziness.  I don't swage primer pockets with 223 and sometimes brass shavings will get caught where the primer seats and it will lock up.    I have adjusted the pawls a couple times for alignment which is no big deal.    Hornady quick change bushing system is great.  It is really fast and easy to change calibers.    I have changed the handle to the inline fab ergo roller handle.  That's personal preference....nothing wrong with the factory one.    I bent the rod that the primer doohickey slides on which was my fault.   A quick call to Hornady and they shipped one out at no charge the same day...great customer service.   Overall I've been very pleased with it and would buy another if I was in the market today.
4.         Well forms go to different examiners so you wouldn't want the 4 on the desk while the 3 was still processing.  That wouldn't make the ATF happy and dealer would get a slap on the wrist.  However, silencershop will file the 4 a few weeks after the 3.  Supposedly they've gotten clearance or something with the ATF.  I spoke to a rep about that last week in fact.
5.     No, so it will be a while before I see it.  Luckily my SOT has a range so I'll get to shoot it while it's in jail.
6. Maybe I missed it, but have you stated a max budget?  You could purchase a savage action and criterion barrel from Northland shooter supply and put them together yourself.  You would be in it about $650 per barreled action, trigger and stock of your choice, and optic of your choice.  That should be a solid <1moa rifle with match ammo.    I use Varget for 308 and typically load either 175smk or 178 amax.  I use Hornady dies with no problems.  My factory rem 700 action with B&C stock, 16" barrel 1:10 twist and Timney trigger will shoot 1/2moa with handloads.
7. Just closed the deal on one!!   My first MG....looking forward to it.
8. Consider purchasing a suppressor.  That and a quality trigger are my favorite upgrades.
9.     Ouch.  I'll be paying a bit more than that when I find one.
10. Anyone have a lead on one for sale?   I'd like to add a subgun to my collection.
11.     You sell guns?!   I'm just giving you a hard time.  I do grip reductions/stippling on all my glocks because they feel terrible to me from the factory.    They are just tools to me so I'm not concerned with resale.  Anyways, I'm derailing the thread so carry on.
12.     Oh come on.  You scared of making a glock ugly?
13.     So dremel em off.  That's what I do on all my glocks.
14. I got a G20sf and love it.  I did some grip modifications to fit my hand better, but it's a beast for sure.     I mounted a vortex red dot on top and took it hog hunting a month ago.  Killed a 100 pounder with it.
15. I have both and carry the shield appendix.  It's just so much more slim and lightweight when you actually carry it that it was an easy choice for me.    My G26 rides in the car.    Both have been flawless and I shoot both equally as well.  It took 100rds or so for me to dial in the shield simply because it is such a slim gun.  I was so accustomed to double stack guns, it took me a little time at the range to get comfortable with it.
16.     This would be a great choice.  Aftermarket support for the 700 is huge.  That way he could upgrade things later on if he wanted to.   Here's another option for you:  https://grabagun.com/ruger-american-rifle-308win-22-inch-4rd-wolf-camo.html   I would also go with 308 over the '06.  It will kill any game in TN and ammo is cheaper with a wider selection.
17.     Well you talked me in to it.  I'm going to order one next week.  I'm sick of fighting with this Kies.  I'll probably rocksett the adjustment screw in place at wide open and use it on a cheap build later on.
18.     Got the barrel and it is nice.  Fit and finish are great, threading looks good, crown looks good, rifling is smooth and sharp, chamber is smooth, and the barrel extension fits nice and snug in receiver.    I threw it in an upper and took it out.  I ran 100 rounds through it with no problems.  I was just blasting and function checking everything with a suppressor so I can't comment on accuracy yet.    Pending accuracy results, I'd say it's a good buy at it's price point.
19. I just purchased a 10.5" from Rainier that should be here today.  I'll keep you posted with my thoughts.   From my research, they get really good reviews.  I figured it was worth it to give them a try, especially at the price point.
20.     How does their design work?  The description says no ball detent or spring.   Sounds like a solid choice.  Their handguard is top notch quality so I'd expect the same with the gas block.
21.     Excellent.  What buffer/spring combo are you using?
22.     I'll take a look at it.  The cheap ones do not hold the adjustment.  It seems like it was always backing off and becoming overgassed.  Mine happens to be a Kies as well.   I have Syracs on my other guns and they are great.  The adjustment has a ball detent that holds it in place.   Side note:  Ordered KNS anti-rotation pins today.
23. Well I took it to the range today and had mixed results.  I had a selection of ammo and will report the groups later, but I'll just say that it did not like the cheap ball ammo unfortunately.  I had a few issues that can be corrected.  First, my trigger pin started walking out causing some malfunctions because I didn't catch it in time.  Luckily it didn't do too much damage and the trigger still functions fine.  I will be getting some KNS anti rotation pins.  Secondly,  I had a few light primer strikes, but these were on reloads and so I'll take the blame.  I believe the primer wasn't seated fully on a few of the rounds.  I will need a heavier buffer/more refined  gas tuning because the bcg actually contacted the lower receiver a few times and caused a small ding on each side.  I'll post a pic later, but that can be resolved as well.  The brake is very effective without the can although recoil was a bit harsh due to the above mentioned buffer/gas problem.  DO NOT buy the radical arms buffer.  It's cheaply made and not heavy enough.    It did feed everything and I did not experience any jams at all.    Here are group results using a bipod/bag....no shooting rest.  These are 5 shot groups excluding flyer.   Perfecta 147gr - 2.08" Freedom munitions 147gr - 3.8" Federal XM80 149gr- 3.25" Hornady 150 fmj handload - 2.8" Hornady 168 bthp handload - 1.4" Hornady match 168 bthp - 1.2" Hornady 178 amax handload - 0.82" and 0.68"   So, as you can see, this barrel likes the heavies.  I'll experiment more with the 168's because they are cheaper to load.  I'll also do some more experimenting to see if I can tighten up those 150fmj loads for plinking.    I did get some ejector swipes on some of the brass.  I wasn't really paying attention so I don't know what was the culprit.  A few of those handloads were pretty hot for a bolt gun, so I'm thinking that's where my issue is.  I plan on dialing back a bit to see if that goes away.    Once again, these are the first shots of this barrel so I'm hoping it settles in a little and shoots those better.  This thing was like a shotgun with that freedom munitions stuff.  I've never been impressed with their lighter weight rifle ammo.   That's all for now.
24.     Yes they do, and the no questions asked warranty is a huge plus.
25. Well I finished it up tonight. That SLR handguard is NICE. It's super light and easy to install. You don't have to line up anything for the gas tube so just torque to spec and slap it on there....simple. You don't need any special tools either. The only thing that was disappointing is that it does not come with rail sections like most other handguards. I'll have to buy some for my bipod because I don't have any for keymod. I checked headspace and all is well. Installed and timed the brake It weighs just over 8lbs sans optic and suppressor. Didn't weight it with optic because I'll be changing it. I just threw a 3-9x nikon on it for the time being. The only thing left to do is install a dust cover and bipod. I may get a range report tomorrow if the rain holds off. I have a selection of plinker 147 and 150 loads as well as some match 168 and handload 178's. Here she is:
