1.   I would agree. This is just like gas, they see we will pay the high prices so why lower it.
2. This is what I was thinking. A logistical headache to say the least.
3. If I live in a place like Jellico,TN which has half the city in KY, can I open a home based FFL and serve both sides of the state line? Or would it require 2 responsible parties one with an address in each state or would it call for 2 totally different FFl apps? Hope it's not confusing. Thanks TGO.
4. It's always happened before the only difference is now it's a ratings grabber. just like the media swooped on "stand your ground" shootings after martin/zimmerman. just how the media works. look how many negigent discharges there are every year. but only now do you hear about them. they always grab stories from the reaches of the country to tell you about whatever the "hot" item is to get your (the viewer) attention. if it would have happened in a home or away from a Gun Show you probably would have never heard of any of these events.   the "domestic dispute" in kentucky last week was just that. but since it happened in a parking lot of a college them victim attended it became a "school shooting". BREAKING NEWS - WE HAVE HAD ANOTHER SCHOOL SHOOTING!!!!!  sounds alot better than "ALSO IN NEWS TODAY .... A DOMESTIC DISPUTE LED TO A FATAL SHOOTING"   just how it goes. how many "dog bites/attacks" are reported in the media compared to how many "pitbull bites/attacks" are reported.
5. Yeah I can see it being "No questions asked, No checking on the ballistics" like they promote in L.A. and other places. I would bet the majority of the 47% and the criminals would lead the way. The legally owned arms being turned in would be, well hopefully, low.   $2000.00 Tax Credit (split over 2 years) for a "specified assault weapon". And what is a $1,000.00 in the grand scheme of tax codes. But if you would generally get a refund anyway, would you really get anything for it? Hmmmm.   But we all know they are not losing anything here. They are winning somehow.
6. I fired an XD9 inside the house once. My ears rang for a few minutes. But I was still able to hear my wife talking even with the ringing. Our cats though well they hid for a long time.

8. Who's next? Chuck Yeager? Hickok? Who? Makes one wonder
9. Welcome Que. From a fellow INGOer.
10. Que is pretty funny on some of his other videos but also has some informative insight as well. He is a great guy. I noticed the INGO CombatCock on the dashboard. By looking at the background looks like he is stuck in traffic on 65 south of Chicago heading home.
11. great. there goes more panic buying.
12. I'll be there watching the madness and trying to find some 223 (loaded) should be entertaining.   Both the crowd and trying to find 223 without financing it.
13. “The way I view it, if nobody has guns, then only the bad guys have them. And they aren't giving up their guns.” But if guns are illegal the bad guys will be breaking the law that is the general thought behind the anti's. Another good one is "Police are there to protect us....it's ok if they carry guns." But the police do not carry guns to protect innocent civilians. They carry to protect themselves. I'm glad someone in the national light is standing up for the 2nd Amendment instead of bashing it. I mean there are just as many crimes, if not more, committed with a knife but there is no restrictions on them. Yay for Donald Trump. Also Whoopi Goldberg recently admitted she carries.
14.
They DO NOT buy their guns directly from the manufacturer, at least not most of them. They might get a few special runs but if it is a run of the mill firearm it comes from a distributor. Go into any Walmart and ask to see their distributor catalog. They have a catalog with every single gun they have or can get in that catalog. It used to be Lipsey's up until a few years ago but I have not really dug into who is supplying Walmart these days but it most definitely is a distributor and not directly from the manufacturers. Dolomite
I was in a Walmart (I think Middlesboro Ky?) and there was a tag on the trigger guard that had a Lipsey's Exclusive on it. This was just a few months ago. I was shocked since I was thinking they dealt straight thru the manufacturer.
15. Gun store owner in Arizona says if you voted for Obama your money is useless to him. http://radio.foxnews...ot-welcome.html Gotta love it when someone stands up but if everyone would've stood up before now, maybe 2-3 years ago?
16. Seen a flyer for a gun show in Clinton this weekend @ the Nat. Guard Armory. Has anyone ever been? Says its put on by Great American Promotions. Are thier shows any good? For those interested the address is --- 189 J D Yarnell Industrial Pkwy. , Clinton, TN 37717 Hours are --- Sat. 9-5 Sun. 10-3

Ammo

there is "rumor" about some of the new primers are lead free or something and don't hold up as well as older ammo.
19. Anyone know if there is going to be any good deals on brass .223/5.56 ammo? All I found a few months ago was the steel cased.
20. I ordered 3 black non window 30 rd pmags from primary arms came to $31.24 shipped. https://www.primaryarms.com/Magpul_30_RD_Standard_PMAG_Black_p/mag211blk.htm?CartID=1 last time I ordered from him they were here in 3 days. (it was $36 and change last time) came in new wrapped pack not open stock like some of the orders i've done.
21. Welcome to TGO. You picked a great place to retire to (both Kodak area and Tennessee).
22. Yeah I never thought about it that way. But yeah $10 for every gun purchase plus $50 every 4 years for a handgun pemit. Tennessee makes a haul off us "honest" folk. And I agree about the ammo tax is small but it's directed toward a good cause.
23. "The idea raises questions about ...... whether the tax would really cut down on crime." Really? Do you think it is going to stop the criminal? They have no regard for current laws and regulations. Why would it cut down crime. If anything it would raise crime. "If it's going to deal with crime, I'm all for it," said Vincent Fracassi, who says he is not a gun owner. Why do they never seek the opinion of an affected party? This time being a legal gun owner. If this ever comes to fruition in Chicago/Cook County could this spread to other States? http://www.nbcchicago.com/blogs/ward-room/Cook-County-Violence-Tax-Preckwinkle-173266621.html
