Exactly how many times has he threatened to leave/left now? This may be the first time he's actually created a thread about it, but it's NOT the first time he's said it in the recent past. My G29 is my favorite handgun, hands down. Feeding her can be expensive, but if you can catch Georgia Arms at a gunshow, 500-round cans are not TOO bad. As mentioned previously, any G30 holster will also fit a G29, and there are plenty of those out there. For mine, I picked up both an MTAC and a paddle from Comp-Tac.

People are stupid, that's what. A few years back, my Dad found a super nice tree stand a couple hundred yards from where he and his wife were building their new home. This was smack dab in the middle of property that had been in his wife's family for generations, and no permission had ever been given. They took the stand down and sold it on eBay.Just last year, my grandfather on my mother's side found a baited(!) stand on his property. The following morning at daybreak, a handful of TWRA agents were waiting when the perp showed up to "hunt". Wish I'd been there to see that... Good luck with your current situation. Nevermind. The one I have won't fit your gun. Still a good mounting option for under $100, though. In addition to Midway, you can try CDNN or AIM Surplus. Unless you're going to get an optic with an integrated mount for the siderail ($$$), I'm not as big a fan of the siderail option as some. I just don't care for the gap between the dust cover and the top rail, but that's just me...

Have you considered mounting an Ultimak rail to your gas tube? Gives you some real estate forward of the dust cover, and it looks great with a Burris Fast Fire or similar. I just so happen to know where you can get a slightly used one for cheap...

Well, here's a start...How about the accident Kiffin had while driving drunk the night before classes started back in August? He destroyed his Lexus and a good deal of private property. He paid the property owner very well for the "damages", and the KCSO elected not to pursue any charges (imagine that). Or how about all the drunken nights he spent wandering around the Old City on foot--by himself, no less--over the summer? It got so bad that a KPD officer in a cruiser had to follow him around most nights, as he refused to take a cab home. Or how about this little nugget? Montario Hardestry was pulled over in Oak Ridge several months ago with a BUTTLOAD of marijuana in his car. After a brief stop and a few phone calls, he was allowed to go on his way, and no citations were issued or charges filed. Take the above information however you wish, but PLEASE do not ask how I know...

If any mods should happen by, I'd like to submit that everything heretofore posted in this thread should be considered on-topic. The OP wanted to know what he was getting himself into, and I think now he has a pretty good idea!
