  1. DUDE! You are my hero. That is some amazing work. I just bought my very first camera (Sony A6000) and downloaded Photoshop + Lightroom. I have very little idea how to use any of them, but I aspire to be like you.
  2. This is why you NEVER reach for a gun that's falling.
  3. It's been a great group for a newb like myself. $25/year. Monthly meetings are held at the Hendersonville Public Library on the 2nd Thursday of each month. You are welcome to attend as a guest. http://hendersonvillecameraclub.org/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/144835535679/?fref=ts If you decide to visit/join, tell them Paul Gilpin sent you.
  4. Are you a member of the Hendersonville Camera Club?
  5. There are full-frame sensors and crop sensors. There are a few differences, but the larger full-frame sensors will allow you to create larger prints. Cameras with full-frame sensors are quite pricey, as they are geared more towards professionals. I recently decided to get a bit more serious about photography. After a ton of research, I decided to go with the mirrorless Sony A6000. It has a crop sensor. Lenses aren't cheap, and while they make adapters that allow you to use one brand of lens on cameras of a different brand, it would be a good idea to consider this before buying a newer camera. Most of the cheaper adapters don't allow you to utilize auto focus and other features, but if you plan on shooting mostly in manual mode, that won't be much of an issue.
  6. I would suggest contacting these folks: http://columbiadailyherald.com/sections/news/local-news/proposed-shooting-range-draws-ire.html http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/local/story/2014/mar/25/residents-seek-halt-to-lookout-valley-gunfiresuit/135252/ http://www.wsmv.com/story/23494338/gun-range-responds-to-noise-safety-complaints-from-neighbors I'm sure there are others, but these are the few that came to mind.
  7. No problem. There are many variables. A lot depends on the equipment you plan on using, where you plan on hauling to and from, the gross weight, type of cargo, etc. Give these folks a call. They can walk you through the process. http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/contact-us
  8. Awesome pic. How long you been a flight attendant?
  9. Also, Tennessee is one of several states that require you get a state DOT in addition to the federal DOT number.
  10. 9 If you plan on operating under your own authority, you will need an MC, FF, or MX number in addition to your DOT number. If you lease your truck on with an existing company, you will operate under and use their MC number. The type of drivers license will be determined by the weight you will be hauling. Based on the equipment you mentioned, you'll possibly get by with a regular DL. The DL requirements usually boil down to the GCVW. You will need semi licence plate for your trailer, assuming you be going out of state. Before you get too deep, check into the cost necessary insurance. It won't be cheap.
  11. Roads are covered in sleet and ice in Springfield.
  12. Yep! Between the background checks for Hazmat endorsements and the ever-increasing medical card restrictions, being a truck driver is quickly turning into a giant pain in the ***.
  13. A friend is about to build his AR, but realized the muzzle device (Noveske KX3) didn't come with a washer. Is there anywhere near the Nashville area that may carry them?
  14. Cottage cheese and peaches.
  15. Where do you live?
  16. I have a few friends who vape while in the tree stand. They don't seem to be experiencing any shortage of venison in the freezer.
  17. My everyday vape is a Music City Mods box with a Doge RDA. I have a few other things laying around, including a Dimitri mechanical box mod. One of our very own TGO members owns three vape shops in the middle Tennessee area.
  18. Am I the only one who would rather see the utilization of a grip with a much greater vertical angle on these type of pistols? It makes for a more natural and comfortable feel, in my opinion.
  19. That was great. I've always been a fan of his music. I don't care where he stand politically, nor do I care how he feels about the South and those who live here. I have this uncanny ability to separate the two.
  20. MORGAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) – As of this week, anyone with a valid carry permit is allowed to have a gun in the Morgan County Courthouse. The county executive is calling the plan a win for the community, but not everyone agrees. http://wkrn.com/2015/01/25/new-security-measures-in-morgan-county-allow-guns-inside-courthouse/
  21. I've been extremely satisfied with Trend Micro. It has served me well for the last several years.
  22. [emoji112] Yeah, that interchange sucks. Luckily, I only deal with it one day a week.
