Oops. I read "Crumbley" in the title as crumbly like a cake. I haven't followed this case closely but I worry that this will set a bad precedent for future prosecution. I agree that from what I have seen there was at least a decent amount of negligence on the parents' part but I don't have enough info on what they "ignored" to make a call on their actions or lack there of. You make a great point with what about the parents of gang members.

Sorry, what case are you referring to?

Glad you are home and doing well. I was just talking to someone yesterday about how everyday is a blessing and we shouldn't take them for granted.

I would do a lot of research before I stepped into the world of NFA items. There are a lot of videos out there and FAQs on the legal and dealer's sites. One big decision is if you want to use a trust or not. There is also a bit of fudd lore out you may have heard that your research will dispel.

We haven't even seen the start of the crazy, yet.

I think the "and job fair" was put in their so you'd have something to tell the old lady you were doing besides drinking beer and throwin' axes.

I just got an email that eForms is back up as of 4:00pm today, though the page does not currently display when I go to it.
-
Let's hope this is accurate. I would hate to see eForms abandoned and a return to physically having to submit. Interesting it has been up for years and that it survived the influx the pistol brace issue caused and is now having trouble. Hopefully some other issue caused by an id10t error in the MIS department.

Looks like the ATF eForms site is not currently available for use.

It looks like the ATF eForms site is not currently available. There has been a bit of press about this since yesterday. I just tried to go to the site and it displayed the below screenshot. It does not look like an official reason has been given and there is speculation that the recent speed with which things have been approved lately was due to them attempting to clear out the cue.

Is the Steiner 3-15x50 still available? -
Thanks for the quick review. I've been thinking about one.

General rule I heard a long time ago and believe is sound advise, is that someone breaking into you house should not be able to get between you and your defensive weapon(s) no matter where in the house you are located at the time. With the availability of small safes that can be mounted in certain areas, this shouldn't be a that big of a challenge for someone, now days.

SB2923 Firearm Safety education in schools

I heard them talking about it on 99.7 WWTN when I was driving to the Nashville TFA meeting last week. They went over it in detail on the air but I do not have anything off hand to refer you to. -
I am in Nashville and I used the Davidson County Sheriff. I have sent in numerous filings and I have never received any sort of confirmation back from them not did I expect one. I have utilized Silencer Shop as well and I believe that the county sheriff was used with them as well. I did not receive a response for the paper Work that Silencer Shop submitted either. I was told by an officer a few years back that they just filled the paperwork received in the nearest trash/recycle bin. This was 2016ish so who knows what may have changed. I would be concerned that having to wait on a local agency to return paperwork could hold up the process, especially if you do not even know if they have a policy of returning it. I would clarify with whomever I purchased from.

I was just looking over the sample ballot info. Plan on early voting tomorrow. Couldn't agree with you more that we all need to get out and vote every time we can.

SB2923 Firearm Safety education in schools
DHF replied to timcar86's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
From what I have heard on it, it seems like a good program. I believe they have put some tight criteria on it to keep it as non-biased as possible to a political ideology. Even so, many democratic leaders are against it. I think they are afraid to let in anything that could make people become more familiar with firearms as it could erode their position. -
I would give the Dead Air stuff a serious look. Especially the Nomad line up (Nomad 30).

My first purchase was a .22 suppressor and an Silencerco Hybrid (now the Hybrid 46). If I was doing it now it would be a .22 can and probably an Omega 36M.

Good morning, I meant to post earlier but was distracted by some shiny objects. I am planning on attending the Tennessee Firearms Association Nashville meeting this coming Tuesday (02/20/2022). It would be great to see you there, if you are available, and also support the TFA and all their efforts. You can find info on the TFA Facebook page or I can forward the TFA email with details to anyone who didn't receive it. Just PM me. https://www.facebook.com/events/931217691434653?ref=newsfeed It is held at Golden Corral in Hermitage (315 Old Lebanon Dirt Rd. 37076). Social and buffet times are 5:00pm to 6:29 pm. Guest speaker and program at 6:30 pm. Meeting scheduled to end by 7:45pm
