Glad I made it out today. Good shootin and BS'in. Had reservations skipping the game but it appears that the Vols opened up a can, even after sputtering at the start. With the season kicking in, might need to start up some Sunday shoots.

The Blackhawk is a mighty fine pistol. OhShoot's convertable makes for some good times. I honestly had forgotten how massive Blackhawks are. Have not shot one in many years. Big, solid, extemely well made guns. It does take some getting used to though. So used to Smith revolvers and semi-autos now. SA is a whole other style of shootin'. If I had my choice between a Ruger Vaquero and any other, most likely the Ruger would win.

Need more bullets.

Was about 10 or 11. Dad took me out to the farm and handed over his Remington Fieldmaster. After that Mom could not deny me a pellet gun anymore for the back yard. Still have that Fieldmaster. A year or so later talked the old man into buying me a new 10/22 from K-Mart (since my friend had one). Cost about $60. Had to cut grass all summer. Still have that 10/22.

There will be some soul searching, reflections upon my value system and mores between now and Saturday. After all it is the 1st full day of college football and the Vols are playing. But if I do show up I'll have with me a new RIA compact tacticool .45, Yugo SKS with special GBL attachment and a .22 that I think OhShoot is really gonna dig. Maybe the Mosin too.

The Knoxville Zoo is excellent. Haven't been to Grassmere in about 9-10 years but was not overly impressed at the time. Maybe its changed since. You may need to know that this Saturday is the Vols season opener at home. In other words traffic will be unpleasant to say the least coming into, around and leaving town.
