  1. Well I'm speechless. Who the hell anymore knows what the sound of a whistle means, emergency-wise, much less care enough to call the authorities who will arrive just after the SHTF so they can clean up. Is this for real? Whistles! Are they living in the 1930's? BTW, isn't Oak Park that nice area where they film all the movies? The ones with nice big suburban houses.
  2. That's excellent! Does it work in gun stores too?
  3. Yippee! Even more so in reading the CA's editorial lamentations this morning. Up their's!
  4. Saving Private Ryan... Dirty Harry, Magnum Force... That's all I can think of right now....
  5. So, Interweb poet, what did you find?
  6. A few months ago there was a lengthy article in American Rifleman about the 66. Most likely spurred some renewed interest.
  7. FWIW, replace the missing pieces and keep it. I would never give up my childhood Fieldmaster.
  8. Well there's one from the vault! Are they still in production?
  9. Where are you from? This is TN. No waiting period. That's why you pay the $10 TICS fee.
  10. I've had a Baby Eagle 40 for about 9 years now. To this day I still have no idea where the brass goes!
  11. I assume the Freshman will live in a dorm this year? So where to live is not so much an issue. I lived in Fort Sanders my entire career and would have had it no other way. Then again I'm a guy and could not afford anywhere else. When I was a student there had a girlfriend and other friends that lived in apartments in the Papermill area. Lots of college age people around there and the access to UT cannot be beat. Had another GF that lived in Maryville and that was awful. For one, that's nearly a 20 mile trip up Alcoa Hwy which can be shut down at anytime due to an accident. If you're trying to get to class or make a test you're screwed. Before you're child starts apartment hunting ask again. There are many complexes, especially in West Knoxville to avoid like the plague.
  12. Definitetly N Peters area. Lots of places to stay, restaurants. Etc. Far more convenient to UT. Basically everything Dag said.
  13. They need more like a two box limit. If a case is 10 boxes, two guys will take in a second. And both locations only get about a case of any caliber at a time.
  14. I really hate to say this but it's about time WM put up some limits. Walker Springs put up the sign this week. I personally don't think it's going to make a difference at these two stores but every little bit helps. Ammo at these two locations seem to go before it even hits the floors or people know exactly when to be there.
  15. If I bring ammo to a range the brass is mine. That is if I can find it and some d.s. doesn't sweep it away or pick it up. If I buy new ammo at the range, same rule applies. If I bought reloads at the range, which I don't do anymore, they can have it.
  16. Excellent. I'll go buy a box of Fruit Loops in the morning.
  17. Put it up on GOLSN or their new gun related site when that gets going. Go can get an extended-cab! Buy a forty, buy a forty, buy a forty, buy a forty. Shameless subliminal promotion of the great forty.
  18. Norris or Chuck Swan sound fine. Maybe we can do Mark's in June?
  19. Come over the west side and get those two boxes of .357 sig while you're at it. I'm tired of looking at them. .22 Short. Hmmm. Keep forgetting that my Fieldmaster and old Winnie single shot (if i ever finish the reblueing project) can use that stuff. Can this be a new way to feed the addiction? Mike, I'd jump on that .40 but I'm silly with the stuff right now. Keep finding it squirreled away. BTW, Walker Spring WM has the six limit sign posted (think has been mentioned). Not gonna do any good when they only get one or two cases of ammo at a time. They still have 5 or 6 boxes of UMC .223 (100 count) that have been there for about a week. Very strange that.
