  1. Oldies but Goodies! First one is my favorite.
  2. On Kingston Pike is an excellent choice, for many reasons , but mainly because it was the sight of a shooting a couple of years ago in which a patron was gunned down and it's very convenient to me .
  3. I vote for the 442/642. Really don't see the need for .357 in that size package unless your defense plan includes "shock and awe".
  4. God help you, brother. Sounds like 10,000+ screaming teenage and pre-teen girls carrying on while a coupla thousand irate parents are trying to work the paperless ticket system. Bound to be a disaster! So do you at least get a ticket stub? Can't have a concert (or whatever this show is) without one!
  5. I don't know about it being paperless, but the process is called "Will Call", or least it used to be. You buy the tickets online. Once you get to the venue you'll go to the Will Call line. There you produce your CC & ID as proof of payment and are then handed real live tickets. You've already payed, they just verify your card. That's the drill I'm familiar with but am sure they've come up with a way to complicate a very simple process.

Looks cool, but where's the leverage? Gotta have that to be effective with a prying implement and to loosen bolts.
  7. Let's pretend this thread never happened.
  8. Outstanding! Give the little guy a high-5 from all of us. Always remember that Red Ryder is guaranteed to put you eye out.
  9. I would ask Ms. Emily if she has consulted her constituency, you know the people who elected her, what their feelings are. Love to see a politician's response that that question.
  10. I see a few in that list but honestly am not familiar with all the Hebrew groups in this county. Never really cared. I'm not Jewish nor do I care who is. What I do care about is the perceived oppression of Hebrews. Presented here are a bunch of groups supposedly against whatever the NRA says they should believe in, however in Israel military service is mandatory, therefore the operation of firearms is as well. Point being, why do USA Hebrew groups oppose guns while it is a way of life in Israel? Furthermore, if the USA insists on screwing around in that part of the world, we best take some lessons from Israeli forces.

    Rifle Kits

You'll need to buy the lower through an FFL dealer. There are two in this area who are sponsers of this site. Recommend you try either.
  12. You can usually find the military surplus ammo cans at gun shows. They are the best for storage. If there are any Army surplus stores around they usually have some. There used to be one around the Vandy area. If you are ever through Crossville C&C Surplus right off the interstate ususally has a bunch in all sizes.
  13. I recommend something like this: Yugoslavian 24/47 Mauser rifle, Matching bolt, 8mm. this: Welcome to Samco Global Arms, Inc. or this: Mosin-Nagant 91/30 Round receiver rifle, 7.62x54R caliber. Plus condition bore option. There are still military issue Mausers and Mosins available in that price range. There is also surplus ammo for both. The Yugo Mausers may have not seen any action but the Mosins most likely did. Both are a great way to start the life-long mil-surp addiction. That is as long as he can handle the recoil!
  14. There is an outdoor range in Norris and one in Knoxville. We're also having a shoot next Saturday..... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/21534-east-tn-june-shoot.html
  15. Of course. Wouldn't put the word out without me gettin' mine!
  16. FMJ Ammo : Ammunition To Go In stock now. At least for the next little while.
  17. Just a few years earlier than that a kid several years behind me in school did the same thing in Midtown.
  18. According to my 1895 Montgomery Ward catalog that rifle sold for: Factory price.....$16.00 Our price..............9.72 Available in short or long. Octagonal 24" barrrel. Those were the good old days!
  19. Don't want to derail the topic but OP started it! Today the co-pilot of the B-29 that bombed Nagasaki died. He was 88. The Greatest Generation is rapidly dying off. I would love to spend the afternoon with a WWII combat vet! Just to shake his hand.
  20. Wow, you're right. Need to go fondle my Garand.....
  21. My new Little Cool Pistol takes 9x17mm. How'd you hear about these Kinematic bullets? Can we get them up here?
  22. That's what I'm thinking. Gallery Guns were usually .22 short back in the day.
