I agree as far as cruiser goes, but disagree on a sportbike. Well, sort of disagree... I don't think anyone without a death wish should start off on a 600cc in-line 4 race replica (i.e. CBR600RR, R6, GSXR600, or ZX6R). However there are plenty of 600cc-ish sportbikes (er, sporty anywho) that wouldn't be terrible bikes to start out on, such as a Suzuki SV650, or Kawasaki Ninja 650R. These are sporty bikes, but not race replicas like the others mentioned above that put out 100+ HP @ the rear wheel and weight 400ish pounds wet. There isn't a lot of room for error on a bike like that.

What's your height? Weight? Do you see yourself more towards the cruiser end of the spectrum, or the sportbike end? Or maybe right smack in the middle?
  4. Some crazy Baliwood music video... some guy added subtitles of what he thought it sounded like in english... hilarity ensues. YouTube - Crazy Indian Video... Buffalaxed!

  7. Pass the popcorn. ETA: I'm trying to hunt down a pic of the cartoon in question. If anyone else finds it first, post a link to it.
  8. If I can snag a new rear tire soon, I might join you guys. Can't promise it just yet.
  9. Haha, I always thought that it referenced a Z car (300ZX, 350Z, etc) for some reason. Mine is the first letter of my first name, then the first three letters of my last name.

  11. David Deaton Karate and the like are largely considered McDojos, and the training contracts are one of the primary reasons for that. Nobody doubts that Nashville MMA is an excellent school w/ great instructors and a world class facility.

    Remmington ACR

Concerning statements from both Magpul and Bushmaster, they're aiming for around $1400. In reality, I think it's more of a wait and see situation

Haha, agreed! They keep insisting the price point will well under cut the SCAR, but I'm sure initial demand will drive the cost up at all but reputable dealers. Not sure where I'm going to find the $$ to pick one up when they finally hit the market, but dammit, I'm going to try!

Bushmaster and Remington are both owned by Cerebrus. To my understanding, Bushmaster will be marketing on the civvy side, and Remington to the LE/Mil side. HOWEVER, I've also heard the Remington may be available to civilians as well. Honestly, I have no clue how, when, or who will be getting this thing to market, I just wish they'd hurry up already

No prob. Couldn't quite remember and I'm not at home to put my eyes on it. Doesn't Grainger have a walk-in store in Nashville?

    AR-15 Build

The bolt catch roll pin is much smaller than the trigger guard roll pin, right? I ask because I know I have an extra trigger guard roll pin, and it's yours if it'll work.
  20. Cool, that was what I expected. It's true, grappling is AWESOME full body exercise. Personally, I like wrestling take downs, and then transition to BJJ on the ground.
  21. Motorcycle, schedule, watch?!?!?! Haha, just kidding. I'm sure you've seen Easy Rider and know what I'm referring to though, right?

  24. If you can drive a decent bargain on that thing, you'll have a nice platform to build on!
