    13 Weeks . . .

Congrats, good to see you back. I'm sure nothing can compare to receiving that EGA. Sorry to hear about your chick, but it's best these imcompatabilities are discovered now instead of several years, a mortgage or two, and a few kids down the road.

    New AR

I heard there's a little shop in Winchester run by a guy who has a little bit of interest in the AR platform.
  3. I'll give you meth, but "pot addict" going on a murderous massacre? Riiiiiiiiiiiight.
  4. Quite the explosive episode last night. I wonder how far Opie is going to take this cowboy/death wish attitude.

    Ruger SR22

Although it seems like some got real lemons, it seems that many got perfectly good shooters. Also seems like customer service has been extremely accommodating to those that got crap rifles.

    Ruger SR22

Meh, doesn't do much for me. IF I was was wanting a tacticool .22, I'd be more inclined to buy one on which the AR's controls were closely mimicked, so as to be a decent training aid while burning through bricks of .22s (something like the M&P 15-22 or the Colt/Umarex rifles). Speaking of Umarex, word on the street is they've picked up licensing to make .22LR clones of the HK416, MP5, and MP7.
  7. My motorcycle agrees.
  8. It IS the "People's Rifle", right?
  9. Cold water sucks.
  10. She should run for Pres in 2012. It's the perfect platform for today's swing voters. "If you don't vote for Condi, you're racist AND sexist.".

    Sig Pro 2022 or M&P?

Really? When I bought mine it came with two, like this shown here:
  12. I don't know how their other items are fairing, but I have a hard time believing they aren't making cash off of their exports to the US market.

    Sig Pro 2022 or M&P?

I used to own a Sig SP2022. Like Magic said, they are underrated guns. Mine was definetley a solid shooter (dare I say a "tack driver"), and at $440 w/ night sights is an absolute bargain for a 9mm pistol from any manufacturer, much less from Sig. That said, the grip is kinda big. Not impossibly big, and you CAN buy different sized grips for it (they are interchangeable), but I believe the 2 sets it ships with are the medium sized ones. One is stippled, the other has rubber grippy panels on it. The plastic stippled one is slightly smaller. I think the SP2022 would be well suited for a OWB duty gun, but it's definitely not adequately suitable for IWB CC. You'll pay more for the S&W, but it would DEFINITELY make a more suitable carry piece. What do you want out of this thing? Are you biased to striker fired or hammer fired? If you just want a decently priced quality 9mm at a bargain price, I'd go w/ the Sig. If you're looking for a piece to fill more roles than just range duty and night stand duty, I'd go with the S&W.

    Kushnapup

Well, I emailed the guy asking him about the overall length of an assembled kit. Asked this: I got this: Thanks guy
  16. Good call, strick! Didn't even look that close
  17. Yes, it is legal. Not sure where a good place to find plans would be.
  18. I lived in an apt like this several years ago. I kept a 12ga 18" Rem870. I figured the only way they would know I had it is if it were to be used. I'd rather be alive, evicted, and looking for an apt than dead w/ an intact lease.
  19. I'm guessing you're talking about Jefferson Commons? It's not UT property. When I was going there, the Knox police were never to far from Jefferson Commons (and several other of the larger student heavy complexes), especially on weekends.
  20. One of my best friends when I was in high school had a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Lab mix named "Buff" because that's what it sounded like when he barked. He was a big boy, probably in the 90-110lb range. Great looking dog and a personality to match. You know how they say chocolate can kill dogs? This tough bastard ate 2 1lb giant Hersey Kiss, and he didn't get so much as a stomach ache. For anybody else looking for a great family dog, I highly recommend Old English Sheepdogs. They aren't as common here in the south (much moreso in the midwest), but they're awesome. We've got 2. The male is 3, and he weighs in at about 70lbs. They are EXCELLENT watch dogs (it's what they were bred for) and are very alert, even while napping. Due to their roots as herding dogs, they stick close by their owners, rarely needing a leash. They have long hair, but rarely shed. We shave them once a year, at the beggining of summer. Ours will probably be having some pups within the next year or so, if anyone might be interested, let me know and I'll keep you posted. Here's a few pics of ours: Shiner, the male 3yr old Shiner again, w/ his summer cut London the 7mo old w/ Shiner. We got her through a rescue program when she was 5mo old.
  21. Definitely a little pricey, but it beats buying a full set. Also, if you consider space a premium in your home gym, it pays. I wish I had bought some of those selectech dumb bells when I started buying them. Although my initial investment would have been more (compared to buying as I went, like I did), I would have saved cash in the end.
  22. It's clear you oppose support of Israel, but you DO realize Israel is the closest thing we have to a strong hold in the middle east, right? If you don't see that as a tactical advantage, I don't know what to tell you.
  23. Birds love to roost in that stuff too.
  24. That is AWESOME. I like your style, Ghost!
