  1. I can't walk to the mailbox without running into an idiot, so why should I feel compelled to confront every single one I run into on the world wide web? There's only 24hrs in a day, and I attempt to use mine in a somewhat constructive manner. My bad... I'll try to make a better effort to tag my threads appropriately...
  2. You won't deal with ANY company that isn't officially a part of the BBB?
  3. Hats off to the Saints, they came marching in after halftime
  4. Saints. When I don't care for either team, I tend to root for the underdog. Seeing Peyton knocked off his high horse is just a bonus
  5. I've been eyeing the 26 a lot lately. I don't own any sub-compact guns, and it would fit the bill nicely... however, I really want to try out a G36 Slimline. Glocks havent been a standard issue sidearm, but some military units have in fact procured and used them.
  6. Over. Who in their right mind would hang the roll the other way?
  7. The 1st gun (SigPro 2022) I sold on TGO was SPF 5 minutes after I posted. The 2nd (G19) was sold in a few days.
  8. That scene was annoying, but were those guys PMCs or SAS? I guess it never really said though, right?
  9. I picked up a Moto Droid on Saturday. So far, I couldn't be happier.

    Im Drunk

    To Bill Brasky
  11. It was decent, but I wasn't that big of a fan. I would put it in the same realm as "Jarhead" as far as being a war movie. I also think Jarhead was a much better flick.
  12. I'm getting ahead of the game here, but maybe if there's enough interest after these have been reviewed and tested (and are readily available to one of our vendors), we could do a group buy...
  13. Might wanna contact TGO David. I know he started doing some refinishing on the side, but I don't know what his finish stripping process is. I also don't know if he's still doing it as I know he recently went back work full-time. Couldn't hurt to ask.
  14. I'd say it's more self-depreciating than racist. It promotes destructive lifestyles and glorifies the "hood" lifestyle. If it were a proactive channel that encouraged education, self-improvement, and provided sound financial advice, instead of encouraging those in poor neighborhoods to rob and drug deal to buy rims and jewelry, I'd fully support it.
  15. One of the major problems I see with this is the more members you have, the more of a chance they'll bring tagalongs (not the cookies) with them IF something DID happen.
  16. Looks like VLTOR is putting out a suppresor that they're aiming to price between $300-400. Will it be the smallest, lightest, quietest, most technically advanced suppresor on the market? At $300-$400, surely not, but coming from a company like VLTOR, I'll be excited to see this hit the market. From Military Times: More pics and original article: Military Times Gear Scout ? VLTOR Releases the Volks Suppressor (VS-1)
  17. Wow, this thread is back from the dead. I've still purchased neither, but figure I'll go one way or the other in the next 6mo. So, I hear it's official that Charles Daly will be producing the Tavor for the US market... Anybody know if they've made any new announcements at SHOT? They're claiming the MSRP will be sub-$1500... but I know another rifle that carried that rumor for several years... Yeah, I'm looking at you ACR. ETA: Cool pic LA357! That really puts it into perspective!

    Tactical iPhone

Stickman (a photographer for Magpul and a few other weapons and gear manufacturers) has posted 2 more hi-res pics of the iPhone Field Case over at M4c
  19. From someone who has owned both: I like the way the Glock carried better. It's kind of "slab slided" and despite the extremely similar dimensions it shares w/ the USPc, it feels smaller. That said, I shoot the USPc better. The Glock will save you a little cash, but to me that's a non-factor. If there's a time to be frugal, it's not when choosing a tool to defend your life. So my final verdict on which is better? The one that works better FOR YOU. It doesn't matter how well either works, looks, or feels for anyone else.

    Tactical iPhone

H2o Audio makes some cases, but if I recall, they're all armband type deals...
  21. That really blows. I could justify $1500 for a next gen rifle, but the reported pricing is, to be nice about it, far higher than what has been anticipated... As reported by TFB, who tends to be pretty trustworthy and accurate:
  22. I know there's a lot of iPhone owners here, and I know I already mentioned this in my thread about Magpul's 2010 catalog, but I thought I'd drop it General Off Topic as well... The PMAG inspired "iPhone Field Case"
  23. Being the Magpul whore I am, I thought I'd share this. They've released their 2010 catalog for download on their site, and someone has also turned it into a .pdf: http://www.alliedarmory.com/stuff/Magpul2010Catalog.pdf Some notable products include MOE Handguards now being offered in Rifle Length and Mid-Length. And of course... wait for it... wait for it... A PMAG inspired iPhone "Field Case"
