I didn't agree w/ the bailout, but I don't totally disagree w/ some of their execs getting bonuses from the money they were given. First off, like someone mentioned earlier, a lot of these guys already had bonuses in their existing contracts. Second, AIG is a HUGE multi-division company, not all of their divisions are responsible for the mess they're in. Third, I think it is in their best interest to attempt to retain any executive talents they currently have, as they need some smart folks to make money to pay US back!

Yeah, I agree. Both are great, but quite different. The thing I love about ASP is if you go on a weekday, you won't be waiting around to shoot, whereas G&L is pretty much hit or miss on weekdays, and the weekend? Forget about it!

I just couldnt see picking up an AR in 5.7x28. It seems like somewhat of an ideal round for a PDW, like and SBR'd PS90, but in an SBR'd AR, I'm going 5.56.

I highly recommend shopping around for a Snugpak. While not cheap, they are EXTREMELY compact. I splurged for one because it was so easy to toss in a pack or my saddle bags when I go camping, backpacking, or bike tripping. This is a random pic of one I found on the web. Their size goes up and down with the temperature rating, as well as the price. Plus, fleece liners are pretty affordable too.

IIRC, those are made by Armscor and imported by CD. I've never read any reviews specifically for the CD 1911s, but everyone and their mama loves the Rock Island Armory 1911s (also manufactured by Armscor), and I believe the CDs have a better finish than the RIAs. EDIT: looks like Nate beat me to it.

Nope, never had to draw my weapon. Had to inform someone I was legally armed and felt threatened once as they attempted to approach my car. My hand was on my weapon but it was not drawn.

On a side note, I've been hearing rumors (and very well could be just that) that the "Limited Edition" SCARs, the ones you've been seeing with goldish colored uppers, were actually F-ups! Supposedly, anodizing FDE is kinda tricky, and the first batch came back w/ the goldish color you see on the limited run. Instead of scraping them, they decided to make them the "Limited Edition". Haha, like I said, don't know if there's any truth to that or not, but it's an interesting story nonetheless.
