Ok, so I had talked to Microsoft and they were not willing to cover my box under warranty (it was manufactured in 05, and has worked perfectly since day 1). So, after scouring the internet for an hour or 2, I decided to try to fix it myself. I was planning on taking it apart later today, but I decided to try something before I did. It's called the "towel trick" and it's supposed to work for both RROD and the no video issue that I was having. Anywho, you wrap the xbox in 2 towels, and turn it on. Let it run for 20minutes (it will probably shut itself off due to the heat). Afterwards, wait 20-30min for it to cool. Then power back on. Worked like a charm for me! Apparently, it heats the solder on the GPU up enough to "correct itself". Surely it's only a temporary fix, but it saves me from having to open it up today! Time for some COD4...
