  1. Try bret@neverenoughguns.com He's supposed to be quite the AK man, and he's located in Clarksville.
  2. Oh Snap!
  3. Thanks, I've been shopping around for a 1pt sling w/, uhhh... "Bungee-ness"
  4. Who makes that sling? You happy with it?
  5. My vote goes to the M1A... I want one bad.
  6. I've been shopping around for a detachable carry handle for my AR. I've seen prices all over the place. UTG/Leapers and CAA both in the $30-$40 range, while I've seen DPMS and Stag's offerings more towards the $90-$110 range... Does anyone with experience with these offerings know if the difference in price is noticeable in quality? Is there other brands I should be looking at?
  7. repost http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17368
  8. I think if you're going to open carry, you have to be carrying two guns, preferably in a shoulder rig
  9. My vote goes to the P229 in .22LR. I like the Mosquito and all, but why not train with a gun that is the EXACT size of the real thing?
  10. Haha, I did some traveling construction work for an outfit several years ago and myself and another guy I was working with had about 2 months of work to do in Boston. Naturally we got holed up in some rent by the month building in a gritty area in southie. The eyes on the stove didn't work so well, but I never had any issues cooking a grilled cheese on radiator.
  11. I'd have to agree with you. I think that kind of comment is along the same lines as "all the Winchester White Box at Wal-Mart is reloaded ammo and factory 2nds...", definitely puts a spike on the ol' BS-o-meter
  12. Looks cool, truthsayer. I can't help but notice the old school radiator in the background, is it functional? Where the heck do you live?
  13. Solid prices for sure, the downside to those prices being Wal-Mart doesn't care about your gun rights the way an independently owned gun shop does. Out of curiosity, these weren't equipped with the 18.5" barrels were they? I couldn't imagine Wally World carrying those, but I've been surprised by a few items in their cases before.
  14. Your Kimber might get a little jealous and go on JMB rants, but I see no downside personally. PLEASE don't let this turn into a 9mm vs. .45 debate...
  15. Now, THAT'S what I'm talking about
  16. As everyone else has said, the G19 is a solid EDC. However, I would definitely try both before I bought anything. I don't think one is significantly better than the other, but chances are one is significantly better than the other in YOUR hand.
  17. Nice. I was tempted to pick up one in OD w/ stainless slide that they had @ G&L a few weeks ago, but the HK gods convinced me not to. We'll be needing a range report for sure!
  18. I get your point, but I don't find mine any less valid. Sorry if I offended you, but after the "atheist shouldn't be allowed to run for office" phase of this thread really set me off... and I'm not an atheist. I just think the right has lost a lot of credibility in the political spectrum by becoming synonymous with "bible thumping". With the current state of the war on terror, we have to be VERY careful about associating religious views with political views in order to discourage anyone from seeing the US as "fighting another crusade".
  19. DEFINITELY pick up COD4, but I would rent Bad Company before I bought it if I were you... I did, and I didn't buy it. It had cool aspects, like the 100% destructible environments, but it's not anywhere NEAR the same league as COD4.
  20. It never ceases to amaze me how quick devout "churchies" can be to "blame the heathens" whenever something goes wrong or isn't working... much less in the same breath condemn religious extremism in the mid-east. I condemn religious extremism worldwide, and yes that includes stateside.
  21. Yeah, when he was first talking body armor, I thought he was serious, but when he escalated to talking about what the gangs were carrying and saying that Special Weapons MP5 clones were better than H&K, that Lorcin made the best pistols, etc, it became pretty obvious... and pretty freakin hilarious!
  22. Sounds like someone led quite the sheltered life
  23. I can't believe some of the people on that thread were taking it so seriously... it was obviously a farce, and a great one at that. Comic genius. I like the other guy that joins in on it and keeps talking about working for "the company".
  24. Wait... who is this "Crue" you speak of? Haha, just kidding... GEEZERS!
  25. Well, I woke up in the middle of the night with a gun pointed in my face only to hear a "CLICK"... good thing I had the foresight to load my guns up with Snap Caps... Haha, but seriously, it actually worked out quite well. I've got an excellent gifting history though, so I guess I have some bonus points built up
