  1. I will argue that the same concept applies to thumb safeties. Even well trained professionals have forgotten to disable that safety with adrenalin flow.
  2. The one who is bothering me today is Meredith Vieira. They had her interviewing Giuliani this morning and she sounded like an attack dog for the Democratic Party. I had hoped that after Katie Couric left, the show might become a bit more sensible and at least pretend they were being objective and neutral. Oh well. Vieira also did another interview where she kept bring up the teen pregnancy stuff. She needs to go back to game shows.
  3. I'm running it now. Nothing special so far.
  4. I think I would drop Valvoline HQ a note and tell them I wasn't pleased.
  5. I had to post it in a hurry. I was afraid you'd beat me to it.
  6. http://michie.lexisnexis.com/tennessee/lpExt.dll?f=templates&eMail=Y&fn=main-h.htm&cp=tncode/112da/11cd2/1201e/12058 39-17-1305. Possession of firearm where alcoholic beverages are served. — (a) It is an offense for a person to possess a firearm within the confines of a building open to the public where liquor, wine or other alcoholic beverages, as defined in § 57-3-101(a)(1)(A), or beer, as defined in § 57-6-102(1), are served for on premises consumption. ( A violation of this section is a Class A misdemeanor. © The provisions of subsection (a) shall not apply to a person who is: (1) In the actual discharge of official duties as a law enforcement officer, or is employed in the army, air force, navy, coast guard or marine service of the United States or any member of the Tennessee national guard in the line of duty and pursuant to military regulations, or is in the actual discharge of duties as a correctional officer employed by a penal institution; or (2) On the person's own premises or premises under the person's control or who is the employee or agent of the owner of the premises with responsibility for protecting persons or property. 7. Here is an interesting site with some info and technical speculation.
  8. Looks like the release date will be tomorrow. Here's another link that isn't working yet: http://www.google.com/chrome One does have to wonder what Google is doing to make sure their display ads make it through. I'd say the tech blogs will be busy for a while.
  9. I don't generally see those signs either. Must be getting old.
  10. Launch press conference today at 11:00 PDT.
  11. This was announced yesterday. Looks good from their Comic Book. Most information can be found at this BLOG. It should be released to download at http://gears.google.com/chrome/ but for right now, that resolves to the Google home page.
  12. Some people swear by the Seecamp. I know one of the guys here has two. I've handled one but never fired it. I think the Kel-Tec P3AT or LCP has pretty much the same use as the Seecamps, cost a lot less and handle more cartridges, as Jackdog points out. It's a matter of how willing you are to pay for a gun. The Seecamps have an obvious quality advantage. But the P3AT and LCP work fine.
  13. We've already done this topic http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4197. Olofson was not set up. He had a clearly modified rifle with a selector switch that would go into the third position and (badly) go into an auto mode. All of this crap is in the other topic. After reading the posts there, please continue this Olofson matter in that topic.
  14. Back on topic....oil fell by $4 a barrel today. The speculators lost money.
  15. I think what has been posted relates to these jobs in NO.
  16. Glad someone finally got the finger thing right. I thought the rifle was both pooping and vomiting for a minute.
  17. All things considered, I wonder if they will need as many people anyway.
  18. It's hilarious to see the Democrats suddenly become family values people condemning premarital sex - at least for Republicans.
  19. You mean a National amendment? It ain't gonna happen. And I wouldn't count on SCOTUS letting state amendments stand.
  20. Wow, much of this topic could be part of a thread on the Socialist Party Forums.
  21. I don't know, she has been known from the start as pro-gun. I'm not sure the posters will make any difference. Maybe they will remind folks that she also has experience as head of the Guard, unlike the Democrat Prez candidate.
  22. I don't think most gun buyers will pay more for a nicer place to buy from. If you have higher overhead, you had also better have a higher volume of sales to offset it.
