  1. Well, that probably isn’t an option. Crawl space at roughly ground level compared to outside...which on the back of my house is sloping towards a hill. That’s options too...French drains. I think I’ll be fine with grade though...should have been done right before me.
  2. And, I personally do not see how tightening a packing nut in the above photo would cause it to potentially leak on the inside, ever but I'm open to being wrong. I figure...the worst thing that I would foreseeable do would be to destroy the gasket/packing and it would need repacking?
  3. So, what was a relatively minor issue has exacerbated after having a few trees cut. Now an imperfect grade is causing some water to pool near/at my foundation. I'm fully in mind to get this fixed via gradework and also level up my backyard for enjoyment's sake. I was talking to a buddy, whom I usually trust without question on most manners in life, and he thinks I should add a few inches of dirt against my foundation. The best I can find regarding building codes for the area is this: http://www.clevelandtn.gov/DocumentCenter/View/2041/FOUNDATION-WALL-INSPECTION-CHECKLIST?bidId= Simply states that 6" minimum projecting above the finished grade. This is the exact side of the house in question: As long as there is 6" between the wood and finished grade, will that be ok?
  4. That's more inline with what I have, but it doesn't have the vacuum breaker. The packing nut is still right beneath the handle.
  5. I have an outdoor frost-proof spigot that rarely has been used but I'm going to start using it more. It's always leaked around the stem when in use but it up until now hasn't been an issue. Today I decided to tighten the packing nut to see if I could get it to stop. I think I did eventually get it to stop but now I worry that I tightened it too much. A) Is it possible to tighten the packing nut too much? B) If so, what's the worst that could happen? Someone at work seemed to think that it may leak on the other side (as in, the crawlspace). I'm not sure whether this would be possible, is it? If that worst that happens is essentially I'll have to repack it at some point, I could care less. If the issue is more serious, then that's different. Note: Not that it is an issue, but the faucet is noticeably more difficult to turn whereas it was very easily spinning (thus the problem).
  6. Saying that this virus doesn’t kill because you survived it is like saying bullets do not kill because you got shot and lived.
  7. Hahahaha. And the NRA. So far, this is why I donate to the GOA. They get another 10’r from me today.
  8. I somehow found a gun for sale/trade on Google way back around 2011 or so and it linked me to TGO. I guess you could say I stuck around. Should someone be cautious? Of course, but it doesn't seem like something we should prevent.
  9. 2..1..that’s right we skipped 3.
  10. I’m thinking maybe it was a color issue, such as white text on white background? Im using the dark theme.
  11. Mr. Speaker, I am going to ask my colleagues here today and I am going to challenge the sponsors of this bill and those of them who might think they would vote for this bill to consider whether it is fair. Is it fair to surround yourself with armed guards, with Capitol Hill Police who have guns, with personal details, bodyguards, and ask the people to pay for it when you make it harder for those same people to protect themselves? I don't think that is fair. - Mr. Massie, 2nd Amendment Caucus

  13. Interesting read through overall. https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record/2021/03/10/house-section/article/H1286-3
  14. I'm honestly surprised something to this extent, or much worse, wasn't attached to the 1.9T bill. I don't have much hopes that it will fail in the Senate. And again, I'm honestly surprised UBC's weren't passed during Obama's presidency. UBC's are a feel good measure that a lot of casual gun-owners (Fudd) support. On the contrary, I argue that if someone isn't incarcerated they should be able to purchase a firearm. If they have proven themselves to be so dangerous they cannot own a firearm, perhaps they shouldn't be on the streets.
  15. https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/8?q={"search"%3A["hr+8"]}&r=1&s=1 Think it will pass? 210 co-sponsors, of note the equivalent bill from last year had 232 co-sponsors. I notice Cohen and Cooper are both on the list. GOA have a nice tool for sending emails.
  16. I don't and haven't ever used one, but someone I know has a Roav. Roav Dash Cams They are made by essentially Anker, whom perhaps many of you have used their chargers, cables, etc. The guy I know that has one shows footage sometimes and it's rather impressive what a sub $100.00 device can do. Based on my experiences with Anker (many, all of them positive), paired with the positive review from my friend, I'd highly recommend any of them.
  17. That's what I get for trying to TGO before morning coffee. Point taken.
  18. So are you saying it’s good or bad that everybody is driving a two year old car with 10,000 miles on it? Isn’t being ahead on mortgage payments a good thing?
  19. Well, maybe. Serious question: Have you been to every gun-store since noon yesterday? I checked a few places online that have had decent stock over the previous year. Out of stock on a few of them. When there’s a run, it’s a sprint.
  20. Hey! With Biden’s latest initiative, I’d say we could use as many millennials as possible on our side! And of course Glocks are cool!
  21. Very interesting. I’m surprised NBC would even accept their money.
