  1. Looks cool can see how it works. Wounder how durable it will be too. Will be a little ruff on the finger I would think with the trigger getting slapped back foward.    Jason
  2. I have more 9mm than 45acp by far I like 45 just not a fan of the 1911. To much trouble to tear down and I have never owned one that did not jam up. I wanted to like them went through several some better than others. But just could not like them no matter how much I tried. I do own a couple glocks that sling bricks though. Jason
  3. I would take my favorite new gun ps90 with a couple 50 round mags. Could keep it under a jacket very light weight easy to conceal. Would stay in the mountains and off the roads as much as possible. Should not have to spend more than one night in the woods maybe two. A light something to make a small fire and clothes to keep dry and warm would be most important. Lots of water in this area so that would not be a problem. Jason
  4. I am a glock fan there I admitted it. Have 2 some times three 17's a 26 or two a 19 a 36 some times a 21. If it shoots 9mm or 45ACP. I have had it or own it as far as glocks go don't own but did get to shoot a 18 once. Jason
  5. Walmart has had CCI 22 last couple days here locally but it goes fast like a hour after they put it out fast. But they are getting some. local store puts it out at random times to keep LGS and pawn shop from sending a bunch of folks down to by it up at the same time every day. Good sign two days in a row they have had some. Jason
  6. I like my night sight have them on almost all my glocks. If it will be a carry gun I would add them. Had the CT laser on my 26 liked it but don't trust it learn to shoot with out it. Batteries die electronics go bad. They are nice to have but my new 26 does not have the laser but does have night sights. Just my thoughts. Jason
  7. Have been very happy so far only shot 20gr so far but I have got some 25gr I want to test out some time soon. Jason
  8. Any one bought one of these yet. I found a case of the 20 grain ammo and decided to buy it. Just picked up the rifle about a week ago. Shot it was good accuracy but not great. Did some reading and after taking the rifle out of stock and sanding where the barrel was not touching any more it is dead on. I have shot about 100 rounds through mine and love it enough that I sold my 17hmr and will stick with just it. My thought is groundhogs and coyote hunting. I did shoot a squirrel with it at a measured 120 yards it was running around on the range when we were shooting. Pretty much cut it in half so definitely not a squirrel gun if you are planning on having much left. Very light weight and would be easy to carry in the field. If you have one give your thoughts. If not may want to pick one up. Find the ammo first if you can I have got lucky enough to get a good supply. Jason http://www.savagearms.com/bmag
  9. I voted yes because yes it should be legal. If I am hiking camping or in the mountains I should be able to carry any thing I want. If you are dumb enough to carry your AR into Walmart than maybe you should be shot. But it should not stop people who want to carry there rifle when outin the woods from doing so for fear of being harassed. Short story have a friend who was on his property with his AR he owns 90 acres that is bordered by national forest. He had a young forest service guy pull up on his property and ask him what he was doing with that rifle. He told him i am on my propery and it is my rifle why do I need a reason to be carrying it. The guy told him if I catch you on the forest service land I will take it from you. He told him you are right on both counts you will have to catch me and you will have to take it.
  10. I have seen black powder taken out of dug up civil war cannon balls used to fire a old cannon and it still worked. Was pretty cool to see. Jason
  11. Ok update time. Tried to increase the powder load until I got flat primers. Would cycle fine bolt would not lock back. Next tried to take weights out of buffer still no go on bolt locking back. Still would cycle fine. Put weights back I drilled the gas port out about 2 thousands and it works great now locks back on last round with both loads and grains of bullets. Will start working my loads back down and see how things work out and how well it will work with lighter loads. Thanks for the info. Jason
  12. Will likely not be shooting subsonic any way. Thanks for the info I am having fun playing with it. Lots of Work right now will do some more testing beginning of the week. Thanks again. Jason
  13. Have loaded up some 150 grain hornady cycled find would not lock bolt back on last round most of the time. Have also loaded some 135 grain Sierra hp will shoot them soon only loaded 5 of them for the first try. May have to do some tuning to get every thing to work right. Jason
  14. Thanks it is a 1/10 twist carbine length any more info would be great will be picking up powder and bullets real soon. I now have dies separate crimp die 500 rounds of primed brass and a case gauge. Here is what is on the barrel. Jason
  15. Ok just bought a 300 AAC blackout with 500 primed cases and hornady dies have a crimp die on the way. Any one loading this up 1-10 twist 16in barrel. Bullets? Weight powder? Any ideas where to start on a good accurate round. Does not have to be a subsonic round I will not be using a silencer. Jason
  16. To answer your first question cut them in half. Run mine on low heat as low as it will go in the 90s let them run several days never have had a problem. I do mostly supper hots jolokias marugas Carolina reapers but have some habanaros too. Jason
  17. I have lots of supper hot peppers right now tricities area. Dehydrate a bunch and make powders out of them. I cut them in half save seeds I want and then they hit the dehydrator. Love growing hot peppers and love the heat on all kinds of food. Jason
  18. Had a buddy send in a trashed old 550 was just worn out had been used to load 45acp for many years. $65 they sent it back looked like new totally reconditioned he was not even the original owner. I love mine. Bullets are showing up at some what normal pricing again so it will be time to put it to work again soon. Jason
  19. Never can have to much. I am ok on 9mm 45acp I am way low need to see if I can't round some up. Jason
  20. Walmart almost every thing you need in one place with likely the best prices in town. The local pawnshops and gun shops are buying ammo there and marking it up so definitely the cheapest ammo in town when they have it. What is not to like.
  21. Was told by Walmart sporting goods guy there ammo was going up again today. Did find some CCI 22 short CB 100 round boxes in stock $9.89 with tax seemed pretty high. Almost .10 a round for 22 short at Walmart ouch.
  22. Depends on what you would want. I do a bunch in the winter my job in the summer keeps me pretty busy. Neck sheath, belt sheath with or with out tec loc just depends on what you want send me a PM will see if I can help you out. Jason
  23. I do kydex sheaths and even a holster from time to time. Few neck knifes. Jason
  24. I was told not to use any thing with ammonia that it can make brass brittle and weak. Not sure if that is true or not. Jason
