1. You guys need to read this article. This woman is a few bricks shy of a load if she honestly thinks all male/female intercourse is rape. This mat not be work safe, it has the f word in it once or twice. http://witchwind.wordpress.com/2013/12/15/piv-is-always-rape-ok/ Tapatalk ate my spelling.
2. Did some trading and added a Basset High scope mount and a Leapers 4-16x40 scope to the M14. Time to do some work on grouping and stretch this things legs a little bit. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
3. You could do a small custom with nice handles in a horizontal leather or kydex belt sheath and it would conceal well, and look nice if seen. Something this size With handles like this copper pinned purple heart with tong oil finish Or handles like this. Exotic hardwood, copper pinned Make it nice and polished and it becomes and accessorie just like a nice custom pen or cuff links Tapatalk ate my spelling.

What is it with women putting fireaems in odd places lately. This is the second one in 3 or 4 months. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/vagina-as-holster-675432 Tapatalk ate my spelling.
5. The EPA is wanting to regulate wood stoves. How has this country slipped so far into idiocy? We have much larger things to worry about than the "pollution" coming out Ma and Pa's wood stove. Maybe we should outlaw forest fires next.... http://personalliberty.com/2014/01/08/epa-announces-new-regulations-for-woodstoves/ Tapatalk ate my spelling.
6. This could be intresting, especially if paired up with a picatinny mount. If I had an iphone and the extra cash Id be on the list. http://techland.time.com/2014/01/08/flir-smartphone-case-gives-your-iphone-thermal-vision/ Tapatalk ate my spelling.
7. I'm a cigarette smoker normally. I have a pipe Ive smoked from time to time but I have a problem with pipe bite aka my tounge burning/hurting. Any tips on how to get away from it? Ill post a picture when I can. I am a part time cigar guy, and plan to order some Clints when I get straightened out financially. http://www.clintscigars.com Tapatalk ate my spelling.
8. Id add in jumper cables or even better, a boost box. A decent tool kit with wrenches, ratchet and sockets etc. I keep a head lamp and a good flashlight in the truck. I also keep spare socks, boots and rain gear. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
9. Yep, building one of those with a big ass sledge hammer on it for forge work. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
10.
It's something like 58 in Knoxville and I'm still wearing shorts. When's this "polar vortex" supposed to hit?
Supposed to get colder all night and all day tomorrow. High tomorrow is 13 and the low is -1. Oh well. Work will go on I guess Tapatalk ate my spelling.
11.
and yes...have you seen the REAL pictures of the duck commander crew before they got a TV show? ya, no beards
They once said they used to grow their beards out for duck season then shave then off later. So they have always grown beards, just not all year like they do now. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
12. I had a CETME .308 and traded it for a tuned Federal ordinance M14. You'll be happy with either one, but the m14 iron sights are probably the best ever put on a battle rifle. And they are a ton of fun to shoot as well as being easier on brass than the g3/cetme. If your a reloader, buy steel case for your G3. If you ever find the brass it'll be screwed anyways Tapatalk ate my spelling.
13. Even if we do risk losing everything, why on earth should I chose to email my intentions to someone who I don't know? I am one of the most outgoing people on this site, hosting meets, get togethers and camp outs. I have networked and made preparations. Why would I risk all of that, all the friends and contacts, the plans and preparations by emailing an unknown entity at a yahoo address. If you wanna be taken seriously come out to a few of our shoots that members hold, shake some hands, drink some coffee, meet some people. That'll get you a lot farther than a first post full of fiery words. I am generally distrustful of people on the Internet. These kinds of things do much better to be discussed in person akong trusted individuals Tapatalk ate my spelling.
14. I will say that it was freezing out there today. And in all I think I sighted in 3 AR's, 3 bolt guns, and a 742 carbine. The PA red dot was easy to dial in with postive clicks that made adjustment a snap. The 3 MOA dot was easy to see when turned up to around 9, out of 11, even in the bright sun with snow on the ground. It held a good zero at 50 yds, was clearly labeled for adjustment and worked well even when stepped out to 150 yds. It seemed very overbuilt for the price, and had zero issues all day. I look forward to Jeffs long term review, but I think its a winner, especially for the money. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
15. All of them. They were all in common usage when I was in the Marines from 07-12. One I love thats not on there is "RFI, cause I don't fly" RFI means an aircraft or component is ready for issue, and therefore should be safe to fly, and we used to make that statement when we were working I level maintenance or ground crew. Talk about pissing off a pilot lol.
16.
You are correct. A lot of folks don't know what T shot is, so the reference to buck shot was for similarity. Good call for clarification! For those that haven't seen T Shot, it's 2 sizes smaller than No. 4 buck, and bigger than BBB Shot. It works great, and is usually cheaper than heavy shot or the coyote specific shells
I'll look into that. I love the heavi-shot dead coyote, but man is it high dollar. The last 4 or 5 coyotes I've killed have been between my backdoor and the barn with a rifle. We have a serious issue with them down here. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
17.
You can shorten and do a crown without removing the barrel. You MUST remove the barrel to thread it.
Yeah I knew I would have to remove it to thread it. But if I do it with the socom gas block I wouldn't need to thread it as it just threads on in place of the factory one. I would just replace the gas plug with the SOCOM 16 which is shorter but has more volume. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
18.
Oh, it just occurs to me... With respect to the title of this thread, cops are civilians too.
Well, they are civil servants. They are civilians in the military sense to a point, but even overseas we had 3 groups. U.S military, foreign military and police, and civilians. I don't view them as civilians because right or wrong, they have different rules that govern their conduct and what they are allowed to do. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
19. Id be down. Id have to find a wheel gun and a lever gun, since I dont think an M14 and 1911 are gonna count lol. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
20. If I can figure out how to do a nice crown with the barrel in the action then I think this will be simple. They sell a gas lock that is thread for a compensator. Do all you do is remove the old one, chop the barrel at the gas lock threads, crown it, and screw this gas lock on, then screw your compensator on. http://www.fulton-armory.com/gas-cylinder-lock-with-dovetail-for-m14-m1a-socom-16.aspx Tapatalk ate my spelling.
21.
Chrome lining in a barrel isn't like chrome lining on a bumper. I have personally never seen a barrel have the lining chip out. To properly thread a barrel it must be removed from the receiver anyways.
Yeah I had planned on it pulling it and using a friend machine shop to do the work since I have access. The SOCOM uses a different gas plug and a couple of other things, but nobody seems tonbe able to decide if its needed or not. Gas port is behind the 16" mark. Most of what I'm hearing says it will probably run fine. I'm already on there and have already asked. I just like to get as many opinons as possible. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
22.
I cut only by necessity, but I have a Stihl saw, a timberjack and a cant hook, along with a pickaroon. Outside of saws, good logging tools are getting hard to find. Getting too old for this crap!
You ain't kidding. My old mans got several god canthooks, log tongs, etc. You can't find decent ones anymore for less than an arm and a leg. Hell, you can't find a decent axe for less than $100 anymore Tapatalk ate my spelling.
23. If your looking for a slightly smaller saw I would reccomend the Husky 365 xp or the 550 xp. Both are great saws and professional grade. For a home owner saw I love the Husky 455 and 460 Ranchers. Plenty of power, and not stupid heavy. But I am a huge Husqvarna fan anyways so that helps lol. Id say for what you do a semi-chiesel chain would be the ticket. They just perform better in overall conditions and all you give up is a little speed to a full chiesel. A safety chain is never gonna cut like a good sharp semi or full chiesel. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
24.
my big saw is my husky 385 xp with a 36" bar, but most of the time it wears a 24". love cutting mostly for time in spent in the woods.
My 3120 xp wears a 20" 98% of the time anymore. We have a 36" just don't run into much need for it. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
25. I don't use one, but its personal preference. They are much slower about bucking. I use a semi-chiesel chain on everything except ripping with the alaskan mill. Here is why. Quoted from wiki Full chisel chain has a square cornered tooth, splitting wood fibers easily in the cut for fast, efficient cutting in clean softwood. Semi-chisel chain has a rounded working corner formed by a radius between the top and side plates. While slower than full chisel in softwood, it retains an acceptable cutting sharpness longer, making it the preferred choice for dirtier wood, hard or dry wood, frozen wood or stump work, all of which would rapidly degrade full chisel chain.
