1. It's a Facebook link but i'm assuming everyone will be able to see it.   https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10201667663243500&fref=nf
2.    I agree, the milk crates are a great idea if you already have a chest freezer but an upright still beats the crap out of a chest with milk crates when it comes to convenience. When my wife or I need something, we just reach in and grab it, worst case scenario is that we have to move a ziplock or two out of the way to get to it. The problem with using milk crates or any othe manner of crate or basket in a chest freezer is when someone this doesn't use their freezer often reaches in to move one and it won't budge due to the frost/ice that not has to be chiseled out from around it (ran into this when I was going through my grandmothers chest freezer about 2 years back).      Our upright is much,if any, louder than our fridge/freezer side by side in the kitchen. I agree that the boost in electric usage is well worth it and is usually more than made up for in food that gets "lost" on the bottom of a chest until it is not fit to eat.
3.  I have lived the majority of my life within a couple miles of where My wife and I live now. It's kind of always been a spot where folks seem to have car trouble or lost animals etc.. but now a days I handle the situations a lot differently than I did growing up. I'm out in a rural/farming community and the Stones River passes in my road about 3/8ths of a miles down from me on one side and about 50' the other way out of my drive there's an old 1800's store building with a bit of a gravel lot between it and the stop sign so there's always been folks that lock their keys in the car or lose them while fishing, canoeing or swimming down at the river and the old run down store building and gravel lot seems to be a magnet for car troubles. Like Ruger said, now a days most folks have a cell phone, hell if you can't afford one or would rather spend that money on beer, cigarettes or dope just let Obama know and he'll send you a new phone out of the first thing smokin'. Well it looks like I ran off in the ditch chasing a rabbit but anyways, before everyone had a cell phone it was more reasonable to believe that the person truly needed to use the phone but any more it's a lot harder to believe and due to a poor economy and job market there are far more desperate folks out there. My policy now goes something like this, My wife is to never answer the door for an unknown and she's also to keep one of her guns by her side after a stranger stops by until I get home and also let me know that this has happened. If i'm home I weigh out details such as time of day, the appearance of the stranger, how and how many times they knock on the door, does the stranger start to walk away when I don't answer or are they persistent, Do they have a vehicle there, etc...... If I feel the least bit suspicious then I don't acknowledge them but on the occasion that I do answer I WILL have a gun in the hand that's behind the door and under no circumstances will they ever cross the threshold of the door. We have no land line anymore and we're not really itching to hand over our cell phones to a stranger so we really don't have any reason to answer the door.  I'd have to say in your particular scenario, the very second that the guy tried to take a step through the door, I would have kicked the backside of the door hard enough to knock him well away from the door and then based my next moved on his reaction. I did that very thing once before when I heard someone walk up on my porch talking about someone getting shot and then my unlocked door started opening with no knock first. As it turned out it was my neighbor's son that had been shot 8 times and both his parents had been shot to death next door. That's a long story and I won't get into it now but until I realized who it was that I had knocked backwards off the porch it was a bit alarming to say the least. I'm glad your dog persuaded him to wait outside. Be careful.
4.    PM me an email address that I can send the army survival guide file to. I can figure out how to pull it off of my computer and post it here. I've still got the email that I downloaded the file from and can just forward you that.     Anyone else that would like to have a copy feel free to send me an email address and i'd be happy to send it to you.
5.  That turned out quite well!
6.  If you bring the wheels and tires back with you next time, Tire World in Lavergne Keeps a good stock of used tires that are decent behind the shop. I bought a set of Michelin tires with 75% for my pickup and mounted and balanced I payed $75. I'm sure there are other places that do the same but I've always had good luck finding decent stuff there.
7. It's the Craft Intl. Skull minus the crosshairs over the right eye. As far as a sticker goes, I didn't have one so I pulled up a pic online and went with it. If you space out where you touch the wood burner to it to where you're only hitting it every quarter inch then you can go back andfill in the gaps in a rounded fashion. You can also draw it on with pencil (at least that what a guy on another forum said) and then just burn along the lines once you have it drawn on the way you want it. I do try to pattern my shipping after the ultra timely PSA !
8. Maybe by Christmas but I could guarantee them to be done by 2016. You weren't in a hurry, right?
9. Thanks man.
10. And now I see that you took the same route as I did.
11. You sir, have a larger pair than I! I wanted to do one of my pistols but decided I should practice on $10 mags rather than a pistol frame. Yours looks great though!
12. It's VERY time consuming! I'm into my 2nd week of house sitting for my folks so I've had some spare time in the evenings and not much to fill it. A grip wouldn't be to bad though.
13. Here's the 1st and 2nd attempt and I think they both turned out quite well but here's a few pics,
14.    How's it coming along, Peace? I 2nd Lowpower's suggestion about replacing the impeller. It's an easy part to replace and the rubber has quite likely dried out which if your luck is anything like mine means that it will hold together while you're testing things out and getting her going but during your first couple of trips out it will come apart. They are kind of line that fuel line you have been replacing, it's still in it's original shape but once pressure is put on it and one little piece starts coming loose, the whole thing will fly apart. The worst part about the impeller going out is that if the boat doesn't have a working temp gauge, you won't know it's gone out until the motor locks up unless you just happen to notice that the motors not "pissing".I've got a fair bit of experience working on outboards (non fuel injected) and when I was in motorcycle mechanics school I spent some time in the marine dept. just because I was interested. I would recommend that you also, at minimum, pour some Seafoam or the like down into each carb and let it soak a couple times. I personally would pull the carbs and clean them but if I didn't know how to do it myself I would try the Seafoam thing first before paying someone to do the work. What brand and size is the motor? Also what do you think the age is? If you run into a snag, feel free to ask any questions you'd like. If it's something that isn't easily communicated online I might could stop by and give you a hand on my way through sometime. I hope there's nothing major needed and you and your son can hit the water soon!
15.    This won't do you any good but for anyone else that might look from Mid TN there is Tim Guy "Guy Personal Defense" and he will do women only classes if you wish and typically his wife is involved with those. Sometimes you can find a day or time that he doesn't have a regular scheduled class and request that time and end up with just a couple of folks in the class. I'm going to be setting up a class with him next month for my wife and some women that she works with so i'm not recommending someone that I wouldn't send my own wife to.
16.  I love Whittakers! Me and a couple buddies made a special trip just to go wander around up there last month. That is a good price, especially, for subsonic Blackout ammo.
17.  I've had that happen on a few occasion when loading my own but never had any store bought that way. Someone must have been out partying the night before and left their "A game" at home the next morning. I had a set of RCBS .45 dies that I bought used from a member here and it didn't matter how you I set them up, at best, i'd get 1 out of 20 like this. A little Dremel work and she loads as fine of ammo as any other seating die I own.I also picked up some plated .45 bullets that the manufacturer was giving away that did this and i'm still not sure how it happened but the bullets measured a bit over sized and this was the result. Like Red mentioned, Call the manufacturer and email some pics and they will likely send you a whole new box.
18.  I have no idea about the site you're talking about but if you're starting from scratch I have the Army survival training guide file and I'd be happy to email it to you if you wanted it. If not, no big deal, just figured i'd offer.
19. I saw a few sets sitting on a shelf at one of the local gun shops when I was there Sat and they were priced at $101 and some change EACH so i'd say this is a great deal.
20. Eat news
21. Also, what is her name?
22.    What area (Road and nearest intersection) is your house in? I used to have a place in the area but still have lots of friends in the area and I will post the pick in your original post along with any info and far as area of town you can give me on Facebook. If you need help knocking on doors and driving around looking tomorrow i'd be happy to help, just let me know. Hopefully she's waiting on you when you get home!
23.  Looking great. I've been wanting to take on a new skinning knife between now and deer season and I reckon I've found the man for the job!
24.    Glad that cured what ailed it!
25.   HARDCORE!
