1. I asked him to let me know if he got some in. He's a pretty busy guy though so I'm sure I'll have to keep checking back with him.
2. Not looking for 2230. Looking for 2520. Where are you located and if close by, I'll keep an eye out for some.
3. I asked them if I could do that and he said no. I even offered to go ahead and pay them for it but still no luck. Just told me that I'd have to keep calling back to check. I don't have any buddies at the Reloaders Bench so that could be why.
4. I'm heading out of town on Friday sometime but I'm going to leave cash with a buddy of mine to go grab what I need from David. He just sent me a pm stating that he didn't have any 2520 but was waiting on an accurate shipment.
5.    I've almost always been able what I need from David but this 2520 has been a real mother to find.
6.    Really? I've seen 30-30 on the shelves there pretty much constantly and in multiple flavors.. I don't do any ammo shopping but i'll keep an eye out and report back when I see it show back up.
7.    It's quite possible that you're the one that was mention above... BTW this build is taking it's toll on your toe, I mean you've dropped the barrel on it and now you've stubbed your toe on it's powder :D
8.    Thanks, i'll check with him again. I've called and pm'd him a few times but he didn't have any at the time.
9.  I am needing to find some 2520 either by the pound or 8 pound jug, doesn't really matter. The Grendel that I am building on my TGO receivers really would like to have some. If anyone knows of any sitting on a shelf somewhere please let me know so I can call or run by. If someone were to see an 8# or multiple 1#'s but are not in Mid TN and pick it up I would gladly send them the money to cover the purchase price, shipping and something for the trouble. Thanks for any leads.       :EDIT: another member has offered to cut me a pound out of his stash but since he actually uses it I am trying to do my best to find some somewhere.
10.    For sure! Next time I get a bike that I think I will end up keeping for a while I will definitely fab a set up. I've got multiple sets of floorboards sitting on the shelf so if I get bored one day I may go ahead and make a set.

I saw a crate with I think 1,180 rounds? for like $165 about a month ago and have seen it regularly for not much more. The only catch is that we don't know how long this current surplus supply will last and when it runs out, so do the super cheap prices. If I owned something in that caliber or new for sure that I would be buying something, I would spend about $1,500 and not have to worry about running out any time soon. That sucks that your range turns their nose up to it though.
12. My wife and myself love hidden compartments, passages doors, rooms, compartments, etc... When we start building our house, things will get interesting i'm sure. Anyways, I have found a way to satisfy my my love for guns, bikes and hidden compartments so here it is, Cool huh :edit: For anyone that isn't familiar with Harleys or bikes in general, this is the floorboard on a Harley (I assume touring bike).
13.  I was supposed to be there but had some things with work come up that squashed my plans. I've had the opportunity to go the 3 years but have found it impossible to make it. Life always happens.

Heck i'd be wearing that AK74 out! That's about the cheapest rifle there is to shoot right now. I've thought about buying one and stocking up on ammo just to put back.
15.  Red, what is you seasoning method? Or anyone else? I figured as much cast as Red has, he must know a thing or two about seasoning.. I really enjoy your cast iron tour and showed my wife as well and she was quite envious.
16.    It's a shame shipping is so high for ammo because Outpost Armory has kept 30/30 in stock pretty solid with the exception of the first 2 months after Sandy Hook.

I completely understand. I placed my first order from them not that long ago and never received and order confirmation, shipping notification or anyything letting me know that the order had gone through. I worried myself about it for about 10 days before it showed up. I've now placed 9-10 orders with them and several of them went the same way as far as communication goes but the products have always shown up eventually. I trust that they will send me what I pay them for and try not to think about it until it shows up. I'm sure it's different when you have a lower sitting there waiting for an upper though huh?

Even when I've ordered a parts kit or a mag or something else that would require no assembly, it always takes longer to receive if I order it from PSA vs. somewhere else. The price is usually worth the extra wait time but if by chance i'm needing something asap, I look elsewhere.
19.    More than likely. Have you or anyone else that might be watching this had any experience with the Trijicon Accupoints? I've never used anything Trijicon made that wasn't quality but I am put off by it being a 2nd focal plane scope for the money.
20.    I've been looking over them since GuitaRx mentioned that was what his is. Seems to be mostly good reviews. I may not be popping for a Nightforce either but I decided that I didn't want to spend the money on a PST if I was going to end up wanting more. I guess it all depends how these rifles end up doing, as well as how well my eyes perform.
21.    I've been hunting a chunk of delrin to fab one of these out of.. I used to trip over the crap at a business that a family friend owns but something or another changed and they don't see it much any more. I agree that the internal support would be worth it though. I wasn't even thinking about that.
22.  Mike, I've already forgotten which upper vise block you bought. I know it was one that used the takedown pins but can't remember the brand. I was looking at the Wheeler vise block that's made of aluminum like this one, http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Wheeler-Delta-Series-AR-Upper/Pic-Rail-Vise-Block&i=705844&r=view&cvsfa=2586&cvsfe=2&cvsfhu=373035383434    Gander Mountain has a higher price tag than the one i'm looking at but it's that exact one. Have you heard anything bad about them? Also I may end up going ahead and buying the receiver lapping tool because I found one for $25.
23.        The reason I ask is, the scope I think I want is way over what I originally thought about spending so it's going to take a good while for me to make that deal happen. I'm okay waiting on really good glass but not okay with waiting forever to shoot this rifle once it is built so I've been thinking about picking up cheaper glass to run for the time being. It will also give me time to put some lead downrange and see how far I will regularly shoot it because if I tend to only shoot 6-800yds then I can probably get by without a Nightforce.    Mike if you have the same scope and wouldn't mind bringing it when you come down, i'd love to check it out and look through it some.
24.    Thanks, I went buy and there was still 9 or 10 buckets left on the skid.  I just left them there though, the friend that I thought would want some had already picked some up and i've got plenty.
25.    I'm not sure how much gouging they did... I do know for 100% fact that some of the big distributors were selling to gun shops that were willing to pay more which meant they they either had to pay more (which gets passed on) or let the shelves sit empty and close the doors. I think it takes pretty piss poor character to wish and/or be happy that someone got stolen from, especially of the magnitude that they were. Like was mentioned above, I doubt anyone held a gun to your head while forcing you to shop there.
