  1. I don't think phasing out "50-70%" of the .gov is a problem and quite frankly; seems to be the only viable option. Don't misunderstand me though, I'm not so disillusioned as to believe SOME of the services provided by the .gov aren't necessary to society. I just am of the opinion that if you take those jobs away from the .gov; the ones truly necessary to maintain societal order will flourish in the private sector. Do you really think airports will work without air traffic controllers? I don't. But I don't think without stupid regulation and oversight fees; airports could afford to hire them privately. Most likey the airport and the controller would be happier in this position. Just because we want to take away things from the government doesn't mean we want to get rid of them; just put them back into the control of the people; and away from the idiots we've elected into office.
  2. Second your decision to go PMAG specific. Kinda wish I could quickly establish a CO residency just to get my hands on a few ...
  3. Makes me sick.  If only the masses understood the lengths he was willing to go to complete his agenda.    I agree with those who say "cut it all."  I myself, in my mid/late-20's will never see a dime of the SS (and likely Medicare) money I've paid into the system.  I am expected to give the Feds my SS taxes, to fund the SS income of those several generations older than I; BUT in order to have ANY hope of retirement (since I can't count on SS), I also must invest (of my own volition) my salary into other options as well.  So, in essence, the money I must put into investments to secure my own retirement is "stolen" from me (just as purportedly the SS investment was stolen from the elderly), since I have no choice (other than plan to work until I die) but to invest it (instead of other things; i.e., buying guns).  Since these investments are dependent on the performance of the stock market; they too are also subject to government interference.  Those who argue that the elderly "need" this money; forget that they were the ones alive at the time (and thus voted for; or allowed them to be voted into office) these crooks started there infiltration into the system to create these problems.  I am from the generation who will now inherit the problems handed down to us (also one of the few of my generation who understand the state of the situation).     I'm not trying to sound insensitive to the needs of the elderly; rather stating that I'm becoming ever fed-up with the idea that it is my generations' duty to provide for the retirement of those who voted these crooks into office so many years ago.
  4. Is that the lowest we can get?!? I'd be down for getting a lower grade than we have actually ...
  5. After some pretty sketch rulings on the 2A out of IL and CO, our right to concealed carry may soon be before SCOTUS. Just saw news story on Fox. Worth a 3 minute watch in my opinion. http://video.foxnews.com/v/2188707945001/do-americans-have-the-right-to-carry-concealed-weapons/?playlist_id=928378949001
  6. Movie is a go. Haven't read the book. Still haven't clarified your stance on the guy though ... ?
  7. congrats and encouragement on the FPU
  8. Is this new? I got my little one off craigslist about 1.5 years ago ... kind of proud of her
  9. Googling of said subject results in any mixed number of opinions ... err; rather "facts" that any number of people have reported to be true (since, of course, everything on the internet is true). For example: "chronic compression of the spring will wear it down," "always have the spring pushed down by loading it will cause the gun to malfunction when you want to shoot it," "there's no problem leaving your mags loaded all the time," "having bullets in the mag at all times will cause the springs to rust quicker," and my personal favorite "high cap mags contribute to killing people, they should be confiscated and banned." So which is it that the ever so annoying new or less experienced shooter should believe? Furthermore, if every subject has already been discussed, maybe we should lock all the forums and prevent further discussion of the matter since ... after all, the data has already been reported elsewhere and the need for further discussion should be limited to news developments ... but even that is pretty much just the same ol "government wants your guns" or "look at the newest abuse of government power" story in different wrapping every week. Sorry if my inquiry annoyed you or wasted a few precious seconds of your day.
  10. Nice ... and I've always had a good experience at G&L
  11. The last time someone asked me this I ended up on penicillin for a month and had a terrible ... oh n/m. Ha. Jk. Worked for me.
  12. Thank you for supporting those who support us.
  13. Sometimes I wonder if I'm missing out on anything by almost exclusively using the new content view.
  14. I've often wondered how many people use the "new content" or just surf through the different topics. I'm a new content only kind of guy.
  15. Great info! Know where can I can order some food stamps or other government assistance? I like this getting stuff for free ... I might be hooked. Hillary 2016!! Hahaha. Jk
  16. Maybe it's important as a matter of technicality ... But as a matter of principle these idiots stole property and should be held responsible for their actions.
  17. What is an M1 Garand?!? Is it some kind of rifle? Haha. Jk. I got mine November last year and love it. Would certainly recommend picking one up.
  18. Thanks! Eases my tension about the whole situation ... haha
  19. Wanna sale some to a fellow TGO member?!?! I keep several loaded and have a bunch of ammo loose, mostly because I don't have enough mags quite yet. Do you guys think there's any problem with chroniclly loaded mags and spring tension? I've never looked into it much.
  20. That's a beauty!
  21. Noted and will avoid in the future, unless you post an update saying they've changed the policy, and have given you a free medium "wildebeast urine" for your troubles.  If not, maybe you should take your computer in and load some really loud, violent, obnoxious gaming website while you drink some Starbucks coffee?
  22. Just an idea ... contact someone that has a similar set-up, but not in your area, and ask them about the experience they've had.  Even though your stated purpose isn't to make a whole lot of money, potential "competitors" in your area may be reluctant to give you great advice.  From what you describe, somewhere like Walden's range outside of Murfreesboro may be similar.  I've always enjoyed shooting there, but dont' know the guy (actually never met him), so not sure how helpful he will/won't be.  This way, you're getting first-hand advice about some of the other things you may not have thought about (i.e., garbage accumulating on the range, expectations of people that come to shoot at your range, etc.).  Since you want it to be member's only, I imagine you'd have to have some sort of established qualifications to be a member (to avoid any perceived since of discrimination).     And as far as my 2 cents go, I don't have regular access to a range where I can shoot anything much longer than 75 yards, so I wouldn't mind pony-ing up a bit of cash for shooting rights, but I wouldn't imagine much more than $100-$125.  Also, keep in mind, that I live nowhere near East, TN so my idea of pricing, and what your local area can support, may be entirely off base.
  23. you guys are so silly and old fashioned ... "science" is no longer a process where you objectively gather data and draw conclusions based on that data ... its the process of drawing a conclusion based on the liberal political agenda point of the day, and "gathering"/creating/misconstruing data points reported on the internet (where everything is true if it supports your belief, and false if it supports the opposite) that support your already drawn conclusion. if you pay enough $ to a University and your "study" supports the agenda, you might be granted a Ph.D and be considered an "expert" in something likely not useful in everyday life ...    science is such a joke now a days   let me put it in pictures: "scientists" =  :jester: who are  :owned: by, and  to the  :usa: who gives them  :2cents: to produce  :poop: so that you will drink the  :koolaid:   now ... back to my graduate level studies in mid 18th century Belgian lesbian studies ...
  24. it must be because the prophylactic birth control, and the post-rape "plan-B," are paid for by the people that suggest "passive resistance" while getting raped ...
