  1. Oh, so the resturaunts currently check to see who is driving before allowing a person to order an alcoholic beverage? Drunk driving is illegal. This is the equivalent to asking whether the resturaunts are going to give breath-a-lizers to everyone leaving their establishment? I hope I never get this stupid and become a liberal. I would have to kill myself, rather than face society.
  2. I'm good with that, but would she jump from the House to the Senate?
  3. OK, Ford is not a viable choice, so who is/are the potential replacements for Lamar? Is anyone considering running? EDIT: It appears that Lamar crushed his oponents in the last election. Winner: Lamar AlexanderLamar Alexander Rep. 1,571,585 65.2% Incumbent Robert D. Tuke Dem. 762,778 31.6% Edward L. Buck Ind. 31,536 1.3% Christopher Fenner Ind. 11,038 0.5% Daniel Lewis Ind. 9,306 0.4% Chris Lugo Ind. 9,102 0.4% Ed Lawhorn Ind. 8,949 0.4% David Gatchell Ind. 7,613 0.3%
  4. It was brought up in another thread, who will we vote for if we are all against Lamar? Is there an alternative? I heard the name Ford Jr mentioned. I know nothing about this guy. Is Ford he a Democrat?
  5. A good friend owns this company: Welcome to Elizabeth Gregory in Brentwood, TN
  6. I own a Frankford tumbler. It cleans very well. My only complaint is it's loud. All in all, it's cheap and it works.
  7. I'm not fluent in legalese, but does this mean the state cannot infringe (ie, make laws) for or against the constitution? In turn, any law restricting the 2A (lets say the process to gain an HCP) is not legal? Even if this thinking is correct, didn;t the Heller ruling from the SCOTUS also state something about the 2A having "some limits"?

    NEW AK!!!!!

I love the look of the wood over polymer furniture. The bayonet definately adds to a nice touch. Classic and evil, a timeless combination!
  9. His response from Knoxnews.com: "I have consistently been a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights, but this legislation goes too far - further than President Reagan, further than President Bush, and further than Tennessee law." He's a strong supporter? Goes too far? I guess he doesn't understand the "...shall not be infringed" part of the 2A. I sent my email: Senator: Your recent vote against guns in our national parks is discouraging. You have once again placed yourself on the wrong side of an issue. You first voted for the bailouts of our banks and now this. It's apparent that you are not representing my views. I will not be voting for you in the 2010 elections. I will also encourage my friends and family to do the same.
  10. OK got it now, thanks Fallguy. All I could say is "WHOA". Policek9Trainer, I also thought there would be bodies everywhere. Thats crazy.
  11. No firearm yet. We had a crazy weekend and were unable to get out to the local shops to size her hands up.
  12. After watching this a$$hat, I feel the urge to blacken both of his eyes for his lack of balanced reporting. Put aside your feelings of this bill and present an honest report to the public. I guess he's right , allowing guns in alcohol serving establishments is going to cause trouble because I'm not drinking. Plus, the "hero's" are going to come out in force. Give me a break. The one bar owner had it right, he will never know who is carrying, and that's the way it should be. May the badguys accept this as their initial warning- do not interrrupt my dinner with my significant other. I will not be happy, nor will I give you my wallet. I would offer an amicable alternative of 2-5 new breathing orafices and a a life changing lesson learned. Sorry, I can't help you with the financial burden of the ambulance ride and subsequent medical bills, should you survive. But, maybe Lord Obama can issue you a bailout.
  13. IMO, let the BG feel the pain and forget the "racking" of the shotgun round. Once the guy in my house I can't retreat any further if I am in my bedroom. Range is HOT. Lead standing by. If I have to wake up prior to my alarm clock, I am going to be pissed.
  14. Nice thing about my Sig229, it has no safety. I always have one in the chamber, so the BG will only see the flash of my muzzle and feel the glowing delight of being able to breathe through a new hole(s) in his chest. I'm looking to get a little more for my home protection. I was thinking of a Saiga 12. If the BG comes in, I would have to stop after the third round because I hate doing drywall.
  15. Thats an interesting idea....I like.
  16. What is enabled when I "subcribe" to a thread? Does this send emails when a new response is posted? I subscribed to a thread awhile back and I saw no differences. Just curious...
  17. She needs to gain some man-hands, otherwise my options are limited.
  18. Not sure about a vehicle holster, but I keep my pistol in one of 2 places: on my hip or in my center console. The hip location is easy to get to. I wear my pistol on my left side. My phone is normally on my right. In my case, this makes for a cross-draw. Some people don;t like this, but it works fine for me. As for the center console, if I am ever robbed, I will tell the BG that my wallet is in there....then boom. Either way, it depends on how I feel that day and what clothes I'm wearing.
  19. With Mothers Day coming up, I plan to take her to try out some pistols. I think, with her small hands, she will prefer a .25 or .32 caliber pistol. I saw some Keltecs at Guns & Leather today that might be the perfect solution. I like the fact that she is pushing to get one now. It makes my job much easier. Now if I can just get her to take the HCP class.....
  20. A woodchipper huh??? Intersting coincidence after I mentioned this in the DOS attack thread.
  21. Is this a how-to movie? I really need to improve my explosives, kidnapping, murder, firing weapons, and guerilla warfare skills. JUST KIDDING!!!! D&mn, I didnt realize there was a camp so close to home. I might attend if I am in town. I heard of a mosque in the Nashville area, but nothing about a camp. Might be interesting.
  22. Wood chipper? I said wood pecker. I wasn't briefed on the use of waterboarding. What do you mean I threatened Chrysler? I didn't have any part of the sub-prime mortgage collaspe. Geez, I'm just trying to get directions to the Quickie Mart to buy a 40oz. I don't speak attorney. I will need a translator.
  23. I bet they would be selling at a much higher price. Gunbroker is selling primers at 2-4 times there normal cost. Its crazy and people are still buying.
