it's part of the Jeep experience!

Selfishly, I would rather see flowing fields rather than a subdivision. However, I agree that 90% of the farmland I see going away around me is/was privately owned horse farms or hay fields. I haven't seen crops since my youth when my grandparents farmed up in Portland TN.

I just realized my JK is leaking oil tonight. I blame you @monkeylizard for bringing up jeep problems!

Same with the overhead projector. My grade school had a computer cart as well. It's funny because my mother was a teachers aide and she ran the computer. Us kids weren't allowed to touch it. We had to provide the answer and then my mom would type it in. -
Yeah @monkeylizard this could be a cascading problem. One nut gets lose and starts a reaction where your whole suspension system starts rocking loose. It could be one of MANY things. I wouldn't stab at this.

I'm not for removal of alcohol either. I don't even begrudge folks for safely getting a buzz and using it as social lubricant. What I can't stand is the enabler and the taboo nature of telling someone they have a problem. "Hey hey, don't call Ted an alcoholic! You don't know what he's been through!". That's very true. I don't walk in Ted's shoes. But, do you know who else won't be walking in Ted's shoes soon? Ted. Because Ted is gonna die. Hope you're OK with that. I guess that's easier than hurting Ted's feelings.

I didn't even notice tbh. hah. I guess that's something else younger folks won't get. Sub $2 packs of smokes. Not that they smoke anymore (thank goodness). As if vaping is better.... -

I only remember ever bumping into one of these as a kid. It was at a place in Gallatin that we frequented on Sunday after church called "The smoke house". It's been gone for probably 30+ years at least. They had one of these in the bathroom and I swear it just rotated the nasty towel around it. So stained that half the time i just washed my hands and slung off the water instead of using it. -

Probably $15 a pack I would imagine. -

My kids recently got a chance to figure out how one of these worked. Took them a minute -

I'm at the point I'm more angry and resentful about it than sad.

First it was my wife's friend, age 47. Then it was her sisters husband, 56. Today its my high school buddies younger brother, 42. All that in the last few months. Several more friends and family who are well on their way. 1-2 of them I'm surprised haven't died yet. I've seen enough drunkenness and death around me that I don't think I'll ever take another drink. If you know someone like this. Please... don't be an enabler and just let them continue. Unless you want to bury them too.

Right. Desantis' team actually used an AI photo of Trump hugging fauci during his campaign. It was easy to spot, but it probably fooled a lot of people. Not an NPR fan, just pulled the first link from a search https://www.npr.org/2023/06/08/1181097435/desantis-campaign-shares-apparent-ai-generated-fake-images-of-trump-and-fauci

I don't blame you for firing back in your own defense. Perfectly natural. No hard feelings from my end. I also don't get the obsession with her, but that's fame right? If only people could be so dedicated to better efforts in life. Myself included....

Now that you've provided the additional detail, I suppose I'm in on the joke. I still don't see a joke, but humor is subjective. I'm not here to come after anyone, so I will offer you an apology for wrapping you in with dirty deep fake group. I still defend my stance that they are perverts.

Please read your initial comment and tell me it doesn't say "I can't wait for them to make more fake Taylor Swift porn". I heard about it, but I didn't look it up because it's exactly what it says. It's fake. If you said that about some girl that does porn, I wouldn't have batted an eye because she signed up for it. So it's not about moral superiority, it's just common decency. Tell you what, let's get pictures of your wife/mother/daughter and let's make some porn out of them to share around. Would your feelings change? Serious question man.
