  1. I picked up a RIA tactical last week. A week in and so far so good. I looked for a long time before I decided on my RIA. Picked it up for a steal. You can't go wrong with a RIA.
  2. The good thing about JC is that you are 5 minutes from the country, and the majority of voters in Washington co. have sense enough not to buy into the liberal bull.
  3. I've had that happen before. I used wire mesh, like chicken wire and covered up my seed. My plots were small so i didn't need a lot. Kept it over the seed long enough to let the sprouts take root.
  4. I've been prepping for turkey season. Going to plant a few new fields this year. Just got a very gently used ranger boat before thanksgiving last year. So getting excited about that. My fishing buddy (dad) isn't able to cast just yet. He's recovering from pacer surgery. But, looks like the spring will be here before we know it.
  5. They lifted the ordnance last year. Was even a ban on paintball equipment
  6. I bought mine out the door including background check for $460. It doesn't feel cheap at all.
  7. I believe that it is dovetailed
  8. They do make them look way different. The first pistol that I bought was my G17. Not going to win any beauty contests, but it sure does go bang. I have always thought a 1911 was like art. However, this art goes bang too!
  9. I made a mistake. I didn't realize that it was the tactical model. I was planning on just a intro level 1911. Now that I see what I have makes things even sweeter. I do plan on these multiplying. For base tactical model, it sure does shoot sweet!
  10. I really like the holster. I ordered my owb with the horse leather. My iwb is the neoprene style. The shells are interchangeable, which makes swapping them easy.
  11. Yeah, it has the GI sights. Thinking maybe some hi viz paint?
  12. Well to me it feels like a tank. Finally, I entered the world of the 1911. Today was a day of a few firsts for me. A new caliber .45. Got to try out my alien gear holster for my G26 and my extended mag as well. I purchased a Rock island 1911-A1 here are a few pics. Another first for me, shooting a gun straight out of the box. I only sent 50 down range. My initial impressions for me are great. I really like the way this feels. My first non polymer pistol. I can live with the grips for now. My main fault ( which could be me) is that I did have a hard time picking up the front sight. Not a deal breaker. I am looking forward to breaking this gun in. One last picture. My baby glock. Shoots like a dream, just like its daddy the 17. The extended mag really makes a difference. Also in the pic is the alien gear leather owb. I have a iwb as well, but I felt like going owb today. I have this same set up for my 17. Now, all I need is a holster and some mags for the 1911. Maybe some grips on down the line. However, the front sight is my top priority.
  13. I pre registered earlier today. This will be the biggest gun event that I've been to. Looking forward to it!
  14. This needs to be done in other parts of the state. Cant let all you middle tn guys have all the fun.
  15. Payment sent.  Regular blade any number.  Do you need any other info?
  16. Do we pm you our mailing address? I haven't done anything like this before and was just asking. Ill get you the cash by next week.
  17. I an going to be on vacation this week. (The week of the show). I may take a detour up from guntersville before coming home. Only down side is that ill be towing the boat. Or, I could leave home a day early, drop the boat home and then drive from JC to Nashville. Either way ill probably attended.
  18. My focus for the year is to become a better person spiritually. Try to learn something new every day. Not to let the stress of my job get to me. Leave it at work, don't bring it home. As far as my gun resolutions, shoot as much as i can afford. Learn something, which is always free. And become more involved in the lifestyle and activities of gun ownership.
  19. I know y'all are down im middle tn, but, my lgs up here in east tn had a good selection yesterday. I put one on layaway.

    1911 low down

Agreed! I have to be a patient individual, I use it daily in my line of work. As far as fiscal responsibility, my wife and I work on that daily.
