  1. Each order that I have had from classic has been spot on. I ordered my Yougo Sks from them back in the summer, they were great. Shipped straight to the house.
  2. How about a mini 30? Besides a few issues with firing of the berdan primers from the com blok counties it seems to be fine. A polish of the bolt face seems to remedy that issue. Just a thought, however, some mini 30's aren't cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Do you make swim baits or lizzards?
  4. That could have been in the late juvenile season, after some bucks dropped their antlers.
  5. It would be nice if the TWRA would use the money to fix up the ranges. Here in upper East TN the ranges stink! The tables are falling apart. In order to get to the target one must walk through the mud or dirt. These are unmanned, the safety at these ranges are appalling. I went briefly just to do a quick sight of my muzzleloader back in the fall. I walked up, and within a minute I was greeted with muzzle sweep. Nope! Not for me! So I left, I will not return.
  6. It depends on the type of fishing as well. Like for instance, I'll use a heavier line for jig fishing. For one, I throw it in some thicker stuff so I'll need the durability. Two, heavy line sinks slower, which is what I want for jigs. That is just a personal thing for me. On average, I'll use an 8-10lb line. I throw a lot of crank baits into some nasty stuff. Like I mentioned, it mostly depends on how I fish. Like say a Carolina rig, I'll use 10-15 lb test with a lighter leader. Then, there are rods and reels, which open a whole new can of worms... (pun intended )
  7. It is amazing how the line technology has advanced in the past few years. Combine that and the new sonar (which are way over priced) and you could have a pretty good day fishing. That is providing the fish get the memo. We've been using light line and Daminki plastics. That's fun too, especially when you can see the both your line and fish move on the sonar... crazy technology.
  8. I have yet to fish Dale Hollow. My dad has. He seems to like it pretty good. Sounds like a road trip is in order.
  9. I agree! I fought that smallie for a good 5-10 minutes. We were using light line, I had 8lb test on.
  10. We caught them on trout minnows. With the wind we used a small split shot. With Watauga being a colder lake, the winter pattern is going pretty good. We also threw some plugs, but mostly stayed around the dam with the minnows.
  11. Good eye! All but one of those fish were caught at the dam and it was within sight of the dam. We launched from rat branch.
  12. My dad and I went up to Watauga Lake today for a bit, till the wind blew us off the lake. Ended up catching 4. Broke off a few as well. Had a blast! Any time fishing with the ol man is time well spent...
  13. My wife bought me a Maverick 88 security with the 18.5 inch barrel. Looking forward to breaking that in soon.
  14. Merry Christmas to each of you!

  17. I was thinking the same thing about the cabelas. They should be upset! Think about this. Events like Food City Race Night, people come from all around to this event. To enjoy the attracions. How would they enforce that? The same goes for Rhythm and roots ect... the list goes on. This is a total infringement of our rights! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  18. I have the 10mm bug as well. As soon as I saw the G40 from the shot show I knew I wanted one. Mine is currently in layaway jail. But, I sure an looking forward to getting it out soon. I have always wanted to hunt with a pistol, and this is what I intend to use this for mainly. I am also curious about reloading and getting set up for that. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  19. I travel to VA often. My wife is from Honaker, we live maybe 40 minutes from Bristol in Erwin. Some of those remote hollers I wouldn't be caught dead without a firearm. I guess it's open carry time when we visit. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. I use borax after defleshing the bone. Borax is a good drying agent. My dad used to do some taxidermy years ago and that was what he used. I use the deer tails for tying flies or give them to friends who tie flies. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. I hope to find out soon once I get the G40 out of jail. I don't have much longer to pay it off. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. Are they still compatible with the G26 and G19 like the factory G17 mags? For that price, I could buy several. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
