  1. "You're Not Tacital [sic], THIS Is Tactical" I'm missing the whoosh I reckon, what's the hidden "reference"? - OS
  2. Most all ammo will go up, little doubt about it. Besides the election freak out, it always does, just not necessarily as fast. One oddity though, is that a couple weeks ago, I noticed Wally's price had come DOWN since last time I bought any on the 100 round Federal .223 packs to $34.xx, used to be $39.xx. - OS
  3. I always have to repeat my very favorite anecdote from John Sevier: me and 70below were talking during a hot session, folks firing all around, had our (non amplified) muffs on of course, and a RO came over and yelled at us "hold it down, people are trying to shoot here!" I kid you not. - OS
  4. Cheapest plastic bottled vodka they make will barter as well as a thousand dollar bottle of Rothschild not long after there ain't nuttin no more. I'd opine it would last forever. Wouldn't get any better with age, though, but wouldn't get any worse. Been thinking I might stash a couple cases at some point soon as I get rid of some stuff to make room. - OS
  5. I'll gettim thar if he still needs it, planning on coming with him one way or the other anyway. - OS
  6. Here come da pix I have one (had to look at the number on blade to remember)....pretty nice, good heavy duty lockback lockup, no horiz or vert play, flicks open pretty well with thumb in hole, good grip, mine came wicked sharp 440c. Fairly thick and heavy, but I like that. One of the rare ones that allows right or left handed tip up only. People will say they ripped off Spyderco. I have one black one, several silver ones...the black one doesn't flick open as easily, I guess due to the blade coating (my Buck Vantage Force same way). Could probably take it apart and buff off the coating around the pivot, but then again, probably won't. People will say they ripped off Reeves' Sebenza. No, good to see someone else appreciates these. I have the 763 also, wow. Yeah, funny, one of the eBay Chinese guys touts the cutout as just that as an added feature, although I'd guess it's an accident of the design. Also allows right/left tip up carry. People will say they ripped off the axis lock. Both the 763 and the 710 are excellent smaller blades for those that don't want to tote a hunk. The Navy 508 is another about the same size, but heavier than the SRM 763 has great comfy flare toward blade, great grip, also G-10, right only tip up clip. - OS
  7. Something to narrow the orifice to a slit, you couldn't get a good enough embouchure/sustained wind through something as big as the casing itself even if just the cutout shape made a whistle by itself. - OS
  8. I really only carry a heater for 2 legged probs, in the city or in the great outdoors (I hope to get back into serious fishin' again ere long). So no totin' a .22 for me, unless I was squirrel hunting or something, and then it'd be a rifle. - OS
  9. I dig it. But not for over $20 in hand. $10, yeah I'd grab one. Great gun show item, somebody oughtta start cranking them out. Dolomite? - OS
  10. I'm missing it, and I wrote it, so ??
  11. I've been tacitly waiting for someone to razz the ol' Engleesh teacher. (Strick probably changed it to get me!) - OS
  12. Confirmed, 13 left folks left. I forgot the seldom seen Beth's boyfriend and Otis' widow. - OS
  13. Dang, meant to edit, not quote in new post. Again.
  14. Well, if you want best accuracy and not have to keep fooling with sight adjustments, you should settle in on at least the same weight bullet, and better, the same round period. And if it performs as well in your heater as the MiniMag, the Blazer will save you a heap of money over time. I guess that Winchester is 36 grain, most of it is, unless it's the fairly new M22 stuff Wally is carrying some places. Course you may be shooting 36 grain MiniMag, the hollow points are that, but the solid points are 40 grain, which I personally much prefer. Btw, BlueDog, Remington Golden Bullet has been absolutely the WORST bulk ammo over the last couple years ever manufactured IMNSHO! Even if it "runs" okay in your gun, it's still crap it's so inconsistently loaded. - OS
  15. Dayum. Gott find that guy next time, full auto around corners would be da bomb!
  16. I knew he'd get caught eventually, posing as an earthling and all. - OS
  17. Well, there are 50,00 US folks who probably favor them -- their employees. Sort of like the 2 million of that other dastardly evil company -- WalMart. - OS
  18. They can't give him even that unless he's charged and convicted of something, ya know? - OS
  19. Ammo will not get cheaper. Congrats. - OS
  20. Eventually. Seemed to me his initial hesitation almost got him and Daryl either/both bitten/kilt. - OS
  21. Here are the engraving rules from BATF for manufacturers and importers and NFA items. I couldn't find what they are for an individual, and it doesn't seem to specifically mention that in these statutes, but perhaps apply also? . As you would imagine, they are quite detailed. http://www.atf.gov/f...n-overview.html - OS
  22. Just any ole other homo sapiens worth your own life, huh? - OS
  23. Ah IC, thanks.
  24. By ordering from some of the makers that take 6 months to a year at the same time. Then the month or so seems short! - OS
  25. Hey now, vinyl is making a comeback among the audiophile elite. - OS
