  1. I just revisited the XD forum after being gone for awhile and noticed a lot of guys with 10k and 20k plus and then realized most of them spent CONSIDERABLE time in the "Post here to bump your post count threads"! At least we aren't that lonely yet!
  2. I've had 4 AR's and several Saiga converted AK's and i keep coming back to the AK. Sell the AR and accessories separate. It is easier to get the most out of what you have unbundled. The majority of high end AK's out there are owned by people who aren't going to part with them, so finding a trade that will be even will be difficult. Have Will at Red Jacket convert a Saiga clone for you and it will come in under $700 for a AK103 clone. He did my first one and it was awesome. Or you can save a little and do the basic conversion and have him do the finish and front end work. Bottom line is there are a lot of options and for A+ quality (AR or AK) things are going to equal out as far as dollar amount go. Sounds like you know what you need to know so just decide what YOU want and then get it done.
  3. Kinda like militaries and LE agencies world wide. Including our own military and many LE agencies? If .40 was all that why do some departments use 357 Sig (9mm BTW), .45, 9mm, etc.? Your comments, on this subject, have been about as informed and helpful as a third nipple.
  4. girl I went to school with Dad's made a fortune with potpourri stands in malls (go figure!) and he bought two the year they came out, 95' 96'? He had a white one with blue racing stripes and a blue one with white racing stripes. They are really cool cars, no pun intended.
  5. Yeah, it's already been covered.
  6. Here's a really good deal on a "Counter Sniper 1-4" they were government contract over runs. Normally they are over $1k SG has them for $399. Counter Sniper 1 - 4x24 Tactical Scope, Scopes, Counter Sniper at Sportsman's Guide
  7. Seriously though, I like your photography.
  8. Sooooo.... your a grape smuggler, huh? That explains a lot.
  9. deceit, lies, subversive tactics? All great ways to make a difference.
  10. Every time I see this thread pop up I can't help but remember the circumstance in which it was started. I guess he still is contributing.
  11. I've really liked the Millet DMS-1. You've got the 1x dot/Eotech type reticle with the ability to go up to x4 and use like a traditional scope.
  12. At least he'd have the round to do it with!
  13. +1. The reason I voted 23. I've had 2 19's and if i were to go the Glock route again I'd go with the 23 for caliber choice in the best platform.
  14. I'm already with CoCo! ..... sorry wrong CoCoa
  15. Sad we've come so far, yet understand so little. It has been a right since the beginning. It has been taken away, not expanded.
  16. Welcome. M4 ramps only matter in FA so no real lose there. Enjoy.
  17. I guess I'm the newbie working on 4k. I too don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed :hiding:
  18. Stoeger (Turkey ) bought all of Beretta's machining when the upgraded. So, yes Stoeger IS the same thing as Beretta even made on the same machines. Doesn't have the same finishing, but the important stuff is GTG.
  19. Some folks just don't think.
  20. How do you like those MWI fore arms? Do they get excessively hot?
  21. Funny how we moan and groan about the loss of small, American made, local business and then ride a new company so hard based on 2 pictures. So far I'd say C.O. has done everything that could be expected to deserve the benefit of the doubt. Hope they turn out as good as they have presented so far. Very nice.
  22. Chuck I agree with the second half. If the are reinstated in society it should be a full reinstatement. If they can't do that it means they can't be trusted and so shouldn't be out. As far as the first part people know there are consequences for their actions. The reason they made their choice for is irrelevant. These are the consequences for felonious actions. You can't much cry about it after the fact. That's why accountability at young ages is important.
  23. Get in touch with Magicarpetrides. He is a dealer in Knoxville and will deal straight with you. Although I haven't bought a vehicle off him, I know several who have and say nothing but good things about him.

    What to buy?

No experience with the Remington's, but the Savage's I've had have been excellent out of the box.
