This is one of those things I kinda agree with both. I have seen people from each circumstance. I think I lean more to the no felons as opposed to certain ones being OK. Part of the problem is the folks with felonies who shouldn't have their rights reinstated shouldn't be out of jail IMO. I figure if you are let out of jail it should be because your recidivism rate is extremely low. If the punishment doesn't correct or eliminate, what's the point? I guess it's a case where a leaky systems causes all sort of problems.

What kinda sling are you looking at? I have a Giles sling coming simply because I'm told it was made specifically for the STG. I also have heard good things about the Vickers Tactical 2 point.

Pretty cool but i don't see why he didn't just use foam inserts (like pelican cases) glued to the inside and covered as opposed to the expanding foam? Seem like it would have been a lot less messy.

+1. I work with a couple former Davidson Co Sheriffs dept and they said you are far better off going with the Sheriffs Dept. Much higher pay and the work is much better. TDOC is very low pay and very hard on the psyche, I'm told. The bad part of the DCSD is that is can be very political.

You did good. If you do have a problem ditch those Tapco mags and get some Bulgarian waffles or any com-block mags.

I really like the Kobra sights for the AK. 4 different reticule choices and it is Russian rugged. It just fits on the AK. or you can try the PK Russian red dots or the standard EOTech or Aimpoint. Kobra Sights-Tantal's Collector's Source Rifle Scopes - Red Dot - Kalinka Optics Warehouse®

while I agree with you on the second half, I think this thread has been very restrained. -
Gun rights case likely to be landmark Supreme Court ruling
Smith replied to Hitower's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It amazes me how every SCOTUS ruling on 1A is understood to automatically mean leave alone, but every 2a ruling is meet with clever ways around the new ruling. Just imagine if 1a was meet with the same restrictions as 2a. -
UT bans gun ownership of all student athletes.

As much as these people consult with lawyers on this stuff surely they didn't make this big of a mistake. Then again the arrogance and ignorance of some in higher learning is astounding. If true, this sure doesn't help correct Hamilton's track record for making bad decisions. -
Got to look at one of those in a local shop here the other day. Very interesting gun. The DA is VERY heavy, but the single action was nice!

I got the Allen one from Walmart and it works fine for me. I carry ammo, mags, small parts, a little bottle of CLP, 2 sets of hearing protection, couple pairs of shooting glasses, slide glide, cheap mag loaders I've collected, bore snakes and a gun rug. I always have spare room. Mainly I carry most of my cleaning stuff just becasue that's where I keep it at home.

Why I won't sign-up for "benefactor" status, $20 for 6 months??
Smith replied to a topic in Feedback and Support
I would be willing to bet most of the Benefactors did so before the current restrictions were attached. It had nothing to do with the Trading section. It was more of a small community taking care of each other even though we all do not agree. If you miss that then you don't understand a local forum or community for that matter. Gunbroker is what you are looking for. -
You're not getting this one!

... and you thought it was a good idea to post this here? -
Can't argue there. You speak a lot of truth for someone who doesn't believe in it! (Just ribbing you OS)

WOW! That seems steep for what they said they did.

$20 + TICS but he only charged me once for the transfer and the Siaga. The way it should be done, but I know of others that charge it for each gun. Either way it is the cheapest in or around Nashville. Phil is a good guy to deal with.

1/3 AK, 1/3 FN, 1/3 AR! Nice guns! I personally I think AK's are the best "assault rifle" clone going! I've tried 4 AR's and just couldn't get into them like I wanted. I've had 3 Saiga x39's and a Saiga 12 all converted. My first one was a full on AK-103 clone done by Red Jacket. The last two i did my self. The Saiga 12 I converted then sold to a shady car dealer in Knoxville who took it over the top! Just brought home my fourth Wednesday and it will begin its transformation shortly. This one I'll keep! Here's my first before I got rid of the Tapco Galil HG. Here's the second one I did. the last one I did and some cool AK pics.

I'll put the pics up in the AM as they didn't transfer as planned. Anyway, got my STG556 & Saiga 16" x39 on Wednesday. Phil at Bellshire helped me out and got me a great price on the Saiga, not to mention the only place in town that still transfers for $20. The MSAR I had to get from CDNN. They were the only place with a 20" barrel and Ratworx is OUT! The Saiga is going to be converted. This will be my 4th. I just really like building these. I have some plans for this one I've never done before so we'll see how it turns out. going to put a Tantal wire folder on it (if I can find it), and a TWS dogleg rail w/ peep sight. The MSAR is fantastic!!!! Most comfortable handling rifle I've ever held. Definitely needs to be broken in, as it is pretty tight. Trigger is still a bit heavy and gritty, but I'm told that smooths out. I couldn't believe how simple this gun is and how well made it seems. I'll never go back to an AR! Only drawback is the lack of iron sights. Not really anywhere to put them and the sight radius would be so short they wouldn't be much good anyway. I've got a Millet DMS-1 scope mounted on it. It's just as good as the stock optic at x1 (if not better) and magnifies up to x4. Will definitely pony up for better optics down the road, but this will do for now. Can't wait to get her out and play at the range!

Not exactly true. Christianity is the only one to claim exclusivity of salvation through one person that being Jesus Christ outside of works. All others are works based: Islam (claims same God as Christianity, Judaism, ect.), Buddhism, Taoism, Confuscism, Judaism, Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness most atheist ............. The works of good/holy/right are all consistent in their measurement across the board. As a Christian if I am wrong, I would be allowed eternity in every other religion based on their own principles of works (Yes, even Islam. Read the Koran). However, if every other religion is wrong only the one who believes in Christ goes to heaven. The Atheist is 50/50. If he's right he's dead, if he's wrong he's in hell Even a ignorant person could see those odds. Something to think about. Back on topic. Their can be vitriol on both sides. Doesn't make it right or justified. You have to call them as they come.

definitely had some holes or unresolved points. The thing he was making, "Chester", how someone of his "skill" set gets caught off guard at the beginning like he did. Nothing that ruined the movie though.

Put one of these on my MSAR and it works pretty well. I've really liked the Barska stuff I have had. It works and doesn't cost a fortune. Works better than the stock MSAR sight that cost $300 plus it has a 1.5-4 magnification. I also like the Millet DMS-1 Tactical Riflescopes BARSKA Sport Optics

Now that's some good moderation right there!
