My son owns 14 acres of timber and woods right behind his house in Cheatham county. Right after he bought it he picked 5 different location that he saw deer regularly. On each location he plated a Peach tree and 5 Persimmon Trees and for the last 2 years they have all been bearing fruits and they always see deer in the woods. I have 5 processed deer in my freezer now and have everything from Back strip and tenderloin steaks to roasts and hamburger. He said he or my grandson will get me one more before the season is over. I have plenty to get me through till next season. Game Warden says he is totally legal........................ :up:  :up:  

This issue was brought up in Illinois when after 50 years of not allowing deer hunting they were force to reopen it after a large herd of deer walked out on one of O'Hare Airports runways while a 747 jumbo was on final approach and had make an emergency abort and it made a major panic for controllers sending planes all to complete new route to prevent a mid air crash. Farmers all over Illinois had been raising hell for 20 years about crop loss due to thousands of deer on their farms and it was all being ignored.   There was big fight with Mayor of Chicago and farmers when the Mayor said they would hire private companies to shoot nets over the deer, put them on trucks and ship them to southern Illinois. The farmers said they would shoot any truck driver that tried to release the deer. So Mayor could not find a company to do that. The Governor hired a large team of professional hunter to go to O'Hare and hunt the woods around the run ways and Neuhoff  Slaughter house in Chicago was paid to process the meat and give it to Homeless shelters and Orphanages.     Then the Governor told the DNR to set up a deer season.Compound Bow, Cross Bow, Muzzle Loader and shotgun slugs are allowed. No HP rifles. The first year was a Zoo because of one rule put in and that was no hunting over baited areas. Once you drive 25 miles south, south west or due west of Cook County you are in the corn belt farm belt. Game wardens were busting people for hunting over baited fields. Heck, in farm country up there you have no choice but to hunt around baited fields of some type because the deer seasons fall right in the middle of harvest time and there is corn laying in every field and the only places hunters can put up stands is in trees in the fence rows between the corn, mullet or Sorghum fields. Midway threw the first year they dropped that rule and anyone that was arrested prior to that were all released and all fines and any thing else was returned. I realize that was along read but no other way to explain it.     Since the season was opened in 1990  car insurance costs have also dropped since the number of claims for hitting deer on the highways has also declined.  On average 200+ deer were hit by cars and trucks per day across the state. That rate last year was about 70 per day and it has gone down every year since 1995 so the hunting season is working.................... :up:  :up:  :up:

I think it is a great gesture and it is different but as I have been seeing this year for some reason people are really looking more in the Christmas Spirit than in the past several years. I am hearing a lot more people saying Merry Christmas rather than Happy Holidays. Either one is great to hear but I grew up with it being Merry Christmas & Happy New Years................. :up:  :up:

According to the serial number sometime between 1989 and 1997. It replaced the 383 model and about about mid 97 or early 98 They introduced the Bersa Plus models. The capacity of this gun is 13 with 1 in the tube and 12 in magazine and the Plus models is 16 rounds with 1 in the tube and 15 in the Magazine. This gun weighs 27 oz. loaded.  The newer version Plus is lighter by 6 ounces.............. :up:

IMO the Millersville LEO should have radioed for a supervisor and back up before ever doing anything else after learning of the body. He made far to many mistakes to be a good officer as reported by his chief. I can promise you there would have been LEO'S and Supervisors on the scene to make a decision to release the car period if I was the original officer. Now they have no clue were the car is. If it is a bomb you can bet it is by now in a different car and still moving towards it's destination. Now, with that said if it was a bomb and several other officers appeared along with Supervisors we may have had our first suicide car bombing in the United States possibly killing several police officers. I do know that as long as the Muslim is in the White House these people are going to move as fast as possible to make our country unsafe because law enforcement does not want to up set the apple cart. My guess is Obama and his family will not continue to remain in the Continental United States when his term expires. He will go to Hawaii to get out of the way of whats coming...............................jmho

I have been looking for a Bersa Plus for quite some time and this is a Bersa Plus 380 Caliber but it is the original Bersa model 85. It was made before they began calling them Thunders. It is the original version of the Plus offered now. I really love this gun. I got to shot it back about 4 months ago but my buddy didn't want to part with it but decided he would trade it for another gun I had. Back when they were all still around I worked at Brentwood Shell as a auto mechanic and during that 11 year there I worked on Waylon's cars and his wife Jessie Colter's cars, Hanks jr's cars as both of them lived in Brentwood at the time. I also worked on Naomi Judds 1954 Cadillac she bought from Conway Twitty before his death and Ronnie Milsap's limo's were all serviced there also and I met him a couple times. Ok, because my post created such a discussion on it that I thought I would call my friend and ask him a few questions. He cleared up his reasoning for why he taught his wife as he did and why she does not carry a larger caliber hand gun. His wife is 5ft.0in. tall and weighs a hefty 102 lbs. She has weak wrists and the 22lr Semi auto she used and uses is about all she can handle safely. She also had an issue when trying to shoot center mass rounds and hitting there because she always ending up shooting high in the head or neck area or missing the target all together. He decided to teach her to shoot low so when the bullet went it would be more center mass. Well, it worked to a point. She was hitting the target on a regular basis from the groin area to the Naval area and sometimes above the naval. Which a lot of practice he had her hitting in an area he felt she would be able to defend herself with using the 22lr.   He also thought there would never come a time she would ever need to use it but he was thrilled to hear she was ok when the call came in to meet her and the officers at Goodlettesville police department. Another witness said he saw the car the other bad guy took off in and followed it and got tag number and the other bad guy was also caught 45 minutes later. The officer said he would have to keep the weapon till they could run a ballistics and then it would be returned. She was able to pick up her gun 2 days later. She did not hit the bad guy directly in the groin but 2 rounds she fired were 2.7 and 2.1 inches above his actual groin(private parts) but he went down like a ton of bricks two other witnesses stated and set in screaming. They said the reason she did shoot low and not let the gun jump striking higher was because of adrenal which allowed her to hold the gun more on target.   Hope this explains more about why he taught her the way he did and it did very possibly save her life because the bad guy did have a switch blade knife in his hand and it was open with his prints on it....................... :ugh: :ugh:

Well, I know it sounds like a bad move on her and her hubby's part but with a 22lr caliber when the person has any size to them a person is limited to areas that will put them down. The police said that she did what she had to do and did well. I myself, am a center mass shooter. 3 center of chest and if they don't go down they get more rounds till they do........................jmho

I have heard of many people being shot in the head and not stopped. You can stop a bad guy really quick with a 22lr caliber if you know where to put the bullets. I had a buddy's wife get approached by two bad guys in the Rivergate Mall Parking lot on night. She wheeled around with her 22 Cal pistol and pointed it at them. They said you won't shoot and began towards her and she put to fast rounds in the groin area of the first one and he went down fast rolling in pain and screaming. The second one broke and ran. He husband told her where to shoot  and took her out with a shooting dummy and she practiced to where at about 15 feet she was dead on. Bullet placement is priority 1 in my mind..........................jmho

If any President had done all the damage to our great nation of America as he has done any President like that would be terrified to walk out of the White House with out the kind of protection he has. It is costing TAX PAYERS 3.5 times as much for his security as it has any other President in American history. If I can find the link to a site I read in the article it said that Obama has his own special security force of Hand picked people that actually spy on his Secret Service personnel to make sure someone in side is not planning to remove him. They are in the secret service like moles. Obama is constantly adding and removing people he thinks he cannot trust. The man is totally and completely Paranoid and I think he has all rights to be. He has made enemies of most  natural born Red Blooded Americans. He also knows the the American Military hates him. I don't think our Armed Forces have ever hated a Commander-N-Chief. Even though Bush put them in to wars they still had total respect for him. I wonder 1 thought most of all. Once this guy leaves office I know he will still have Secret Service as all Presidents do but it is the Congress that pays the bill for that. I'm guessing that his amount of security will be no more than any other Ex President so I am hoping he has to spend huge amount of his own money if he wants more Security. I bet he will be 10 times as paranoid about security once he is gone from the White House....................jmho

Now I'm not saying this may be why he is so desperate to make illegals legal? Is there is an out side chance that he might be an illegal Immigrant too. I mean no one has really seen any information to the fact or really seen proof that he is a legal American citizen since all of his personal records are sealed to the American people and he thinks Americans are so gullible that they will just take his word for it. What has been leaked really shows more against him than for him. He applied under a Foreigner  grant scholarship and got it to attend college. To do that he would have had to provide the paperwork proving he was not an American citizen.   He has not been able to provide a valid Birth Certificate but has provided a couple fake ones that we proven to be fake. He is using a Social Security issued in Connecticut but never lived in Connecticut which means he is committing fraud. That has been authenticated that the number was issued in a state he never lived in.      Back during his first term while Michelle was doing an interview she was talking about a trip the first family had planned that would be a trip to Africa. She clearly said that Barrack was looking very forward to returning to Kenya, his birth place?????? he funny part about that was it was a live interview so it could not be edited out before 1000's of Americans saw and heard it. That was the first and last live interview the First Lady was allowed to have. Now everything she does on TV is filmed and cleaned up before showing.    In all honesty I often wonder if it was a Republican doing everything Obama has done at what point would he been impeached and arrested for treason. After all, he is the first and only President to hide everything about his past back before making his bid for the White House?..........................................jmho

Yea, my son is coming up and he had to re route around the city also and he works on Nolensville Road and I think that is Obama's destination. Some Big Immigrant church or something like that. Back when you could book Hog trips in Catoosa Wildlife management my little brother carried a Ruger Blackhawk and two years in a row he bagged a hog with 1 shot. Once from the ground and once from up a tree where the hog put him and that shot was straight down through top of hogs head and out the throat. Then they closed the hunts down. Now with that said I have several buddies that big game pistol hunt and several of them are shooting these. I noticed that no one mentioned them. Any particular reason why they have gone unmentioned in any posts? Inquiring mind wants to know. Taurus M44 44 Mag or M444 Raging Bull 44 mag.
