I ain't skeered either. If it is going to take me I want it to be quick without a bunch of being dragged out garbage. I have all my arrangement's made so the family doesn't have to do anything except pick up a box with my ashes in it. I will go directly to the Funeral Home cremation furnace from whatever facility I am in. Family won't be able to change anything. I think Funeral Directors use family members to milk way to much money out of them at a time when they are not thinking right and mourning. I eliminated all that. The only thing family will be responsible for is picking out the Urn I will be buried in.

Well gregintenn came by today and picked up the GPS. Was great to see him again. He came by my other house in Gallatin when I lived there back a few years ago. Had a short visit but was nice to see him again. He is a very nice guy for sure. Glad he got the GPS!!

With this many non gun owners now becoming gun owners I expect to hear or read about a lot of gun accidents because they have bought a gun without any training at all and don't have a clue how to use it. I just hope that they have sense enough to keep them up and out of reach of children!!…...JMHO

I think you are 100% dead on cause once people become accustom to wearing them and there is any chance to catch anything airborne many people will elect to wear them.

Just found this while looking for somethin else so thought I would post it!! Deaths due to COVID-19 may be misclassified as pneumonia or influenza deaths in the absence of positive test results, and pneumonia or influenza may appear on death certificates as a comorbid condition. Additionally, COVID-19 symptoms can be similar to influenza-like illness, thus deaths may be misclassified as influenza. Thus, increases in pneumonia and influenza deaths may be an indicator of excess COVID-19-related mortality.

I saw a new report that they are finding 1000's upon 1000's of masks and other medical articles discarded and floating in the oceans. I don't think American Medical personnel would be discarding these things in our oceans but I do believe that China and other foreign countries are capable of doing it!!!!….JMHO

Personal Self Defense Encounters?

"You have to ask yourself, where are these confrontational people and groups, protesters and threatening people doing the assaults getting lawyers from and how are they paying for it?" They are getting the money from the same people that pay them to do what they do!!!! Do you honestly think that they do this stuff for free?? There are billionaires supporting these movements and they are profiting from all this trouble they are creating!!! -
Hickory nuts falling of trees....squirrels don’t seem worried!

In Nature things change according to what is happening at that point in time and Mother Nature does what she needs to do to make things work right. May have been something different last year that is different this year....JMHO -
Hickory nuts falling of trees....squirrels don’t seem worried!
bersaguy replied to Randall53's topic in Hunting and Fishing
Trees are of course part of nature and nature will sometimes do things we don't understand but I had a similar issue back where I use to live with acorns. In mid summer the oak trees began dropping half grown acorns and I got concerned because I have a lot of squirrels that depended on them for food. I began asking a few people I had heard could give me my answers. I was told that the trees that have more nuts on them than they can provide water for will shed enough to be able to still have a healthy abundance in the Fall. Turns out they were correct and come Fall when the leaves began to fall the Trees were still full of acorns. I would imagine the Hickory Trees are probably doing the same thing. Hope so anyway! -

I agree on the hours but with the Virus they can't keep enough staff to answer the phones so they went from 8 to 12 until they can get some people back that went on 14 day quarantine!!! -
Personal Self Defense Encounters?

Well before he became a 911 operator he was Cheatham County Deputy for 3 years so he has worked on both sides of it. He does have his moments of just getting up and saying I need a break and walking outside and the others cover for him while he is walking around clearing his head. He works 12 hours shift 8PM to 8 AM and he said the real crazies start about 11 PM and even without going outside he can tell you when it is a full moon...…..LOL. He said the calls that bother him the most is when a very young child calls and it's hard to keep them on the phone till help arrives. They keep wanting to hang up but he said he has developed techniques to keep them talking till he gets an all clear report from the responding help. -
Personal Self Defense Encounters?

Well my grandson has been on the job a little over four years and to date he has to his knowledge never had an officer quiz him about a call. The officer may know that the caller he was responding to a frequent flyer but they still went. The officers in the field know more about where they are going than the dispatcher does. My grandson has been pretty good at being able to pick out bogus calls by talking to the person while waiting for the police to arrive. He keeps them on the line talking to him. He also listeners for anything that may be going on in the background and if the caller suddenly hangs up he relays that to the police responding. He's pretty sharp on things. -

Thanks for the input. My eldest grandson is a 911 operator in one of the outlying counties and he has strict orders from his superiors that if any emergency call comes in requiring police he is to dispatch officers to react upon the call period. So far he has not had any officers fail to go and do their jobs. He can dispatch City, County and State Troopers when necessary depending on location of the call. -

Their plan is coming together. Their plan is coming together until the owners of firearms have had a enough and decide it might be time to come out of the closet and let the anti-gunners see what they are really up against and see if they still have to stomach to push the envelope!!!.....JMHO -
Personal Self Defense Encounters?

I can agree with you on a few points but I have 1 logic I live by and that is "Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6" for not being prepared and I will believe that as long as I am alive!!! That is why I always have something when I am out in public. -
I had concerns about penetration when I was looking for SD ammo so I decided to do some testing. Nothing High Tech but just kind of sampling. I made a dummy body from styro - foam, dressed in what I would consider some really heavy clothing including beginning with thermo undershirt and a sweat shirt,Flannel Shirt and a goose down extra heavy winter coat I bought back many years ago when we still had real winters up north and finally topped it off with an insulated rain coat. I placed the dummy up against a piece of 3/4 inch plywood. I back up about 25 feet and sent 15 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense rounds into the dummy from my Bersa model 85. All but 2 rounds passed through all of the clothing and foam with 4 passing through the plywood and the rest where stopped by the plywood. I know it was not a scientific test but it told me what I wanted to know. I know ball FMJ ammo will penetrate more and that is my concern about rounds passing through a perp and striking innocent bystanders. Especially even center mass if the Perp is not 250 + pounds. It concerns me that 4 of the CD Hornady's passed through the plywood.

I think I have tried most every SD round out there for 380 Caliber and I finally settled on Hornady 90 gr. FTX Critical Defense and that is what is in all my 380's and the back up mags with them.
-
I don't have a clue about reloading the rounds but I'm sure someone here will be able to answer your question...….

I have never done business with AU (Jim) but I have done several transactions with many other members of TGO and to date have never had a bad experience with any members here at all. Great bunch of folks for sure here!!

Its not a fun caliber to plink with. I can't imagine why???......……….. I have another friend that actually owns one of the original 44 auto-mags made right after the movie "Sudden Impact" came out and he said the same thing about plinking and seldom does it. He found out that the company was going out of business and he bought up a bunch of parts that were noted for breaking or malfunctioning. Back when he bought it he was a young man. Now he says it is nice to look at and his grandson will take him and the gun to a range and the grandson shoots a couple mags through it and then they go home and Grand-paw takes it apart and inspects it, cleans it and locks it back in the safe till the next trip. He has promised it to his Grandson when he passes away. That is why he has taught him how to disassemble it, inspect it clean it and assemble it back.

That is one of the reasons I don't shop at Harbor Freight. 99% of what they sell is made in China and most all Chinese Steel has small air pockets in it making it very weak. I bought a driveway alarm there so I would know if anyone drove in my driveway at night. It worked twice and never beeped again so next time I got near Harbor freight I took it back. They replaced it and the one I got, new in the box never worked at all. Took it back and the guy said we don't sell those anymore and I said great cause I want my money back and not another piece of Chinese Junk!!

Well I am finally convinced that the doctor Trump has running the Sars-Covid-19 Pandemic does not have a clue what so ever that he is doing??? Since this all started he has said it is not an aerosol transmitted disease beyond the 6 foot distancing. Now all of a sudden he said it is very likely possible an aerosol disease carried in the air. I am now satisfied that clown has no clue what day of the week it is. He also said today that he and Trump have not spoke in two months!!! Why has Trump not fired this clown and put someone that might know something in his place? No wonder we are in the shape we are in and have 133,000 people dead and getting worse...….

Thank you and I will let my buddy know when you find out!!!

My Buddy said he couldn't use his at all. He may need to change his grips if he really wants to use speed loaders with his. Thanks for the information!!!
