Finally got to use my new call and decoy!
Ghooge2008 replied to ShaunM's topic in Hunting and Fishing
where did you place the call in referance to where you guys set up? was it near you, in a tree, under a rock/pile of leaves..... -
I'm gonna get flamed, but I'd rather have 3 rocks or 2 springers.

I seriously used to think I needed 1000+ rounds for every caliber of gun I own, then though about it....if the "enemy's" are the guys who are gonna round us up into concentration camps....my AR isnt going to be much good against tanks, miniguns, and helicopters, and most looters wouldnt cross a perimeter strewn with bodies so a handful of 00 buck shells is really what I decided I needed if there ever was a shtf senario....I quit buying bullets and started buying caned goods, water and saved for a generator....I had to quit reading all the crazy stuff out there on the internet...the only thing I worry about now is winter storms, tornado's, and a bump in the night.

Took the HCP Class Today...
Ghooge2008 replied to sparksjr's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
where did the OP take his class at again? I took mine in greenbriar at G&L and found the class quite adequate and informative, I have been shooting for years and yes some of it was basic stuff but our Instructor actually cared(it seemed) and wasnt just doing it for the money like some of the guys in the surrounding county's to supplement their income. you said it is easy for some people to get a permit but I actually know a person that failed the class so even though you found it easy...they're not handing them out like cheap suckers from the bank. -
question from a noob...

thank you Buk, thats exactly what I was wanting to know. that kinda stinks no wonder these things are so expensive in FA configuration! -

kinda looking for info on if I can convert this one or not...if not thinking a hi-cap semi auto option is a Glock with the g18 mag.... -
I recently did some trading into a semi-auto cobray m-11, the FA parts kit is only 500 at cobray.com and it truely is everything except the lower reciever. there are alot of FA mac's on uzitalk and was wondering if there are any steps that I could take, along with some guidance to get into the class 3 game. There alot of upgrades including really nice uppers for these little guys! I know a class II manufacturer, and he has a few FA toys...but wanted a little info so I didnt sound like a weirdo when I get ahold of him.

Almond, It's a fake can...I got mine before the treaded barreled one's were available...I had it threaded by a friend who does this service and a custom barrel shroud for less than 100, if anyone is interested I can send more pic's of the service, and some shrouds he offers.
-
I love my 15-22 also! Shameless posting of my favorite plinker...
-
Pictures as promised! He recrowned the barrel and Made a custom Shroud to protect the threads. it was designed to protrude a little as to also protect the barrel. The threading is super nice and clean(not shallow as it looks in the pic's) if there is any "off" look to the threads or right behind them...it's not, it's been rubbed with silver anti-seize as the barrel is stainless and the shroud is billet aluminum Also DavidD...it might have been mine you fondled if you were the guy making a mess of .45 auto shells out of the newly aquired Wilson combat 1911 in the Auto range last Friday at G&L.

my 10/22...is looking kinda lonley since this beaut showed up!

After debating on an upper or a whole nother toy...I decided to pick this guy up at Academy this past week...I threw on some goodies I had laying around in the crate that were take off's from other rifles I upgraded or traded off this past year! This little guy is definatly a keeper...I went to G&L friday and then to the Gallatin Gun Club on sunday...1000 rounds down the pipe...Never would I have done that with .223 or for 26 bucks! I am already in love with my EBR..Evil Black Rimfire. The red dot even has a nice co-witness to the factory iron's! Heading saturday to Mcminnville to get the barrel threaded and a shroud added! will post pic's saturday night of the new additions! The hogue grip sleeve was a little loose(its the Jr. off a p32) and worked it's way up the front grip....little electrical tape or another pressure switch from a flashlight may do the trick! didnt think to pull it down to adjust it before I snapped the picture.

I have a Rock Island 1911, an older one with no frills and tiny sights, I love it. it shoots great. I picked it up used with wore blueing and cracked grips for 300. slapped on a set of houge wraparound grips and am taking my HCP class this sunday at G&L with it. It is my first 1911 and probally the only one I will ever own...budget is tight around my place...you dont have to have the best or expensivest to really enjoy a 1911. They are clones of one of the best designed guns ever made and I would think any or them even the norinco's are excellent guns to have....well except the llama

awesome combo, dual weilding is a must!

Dude, I live in gallatin, go to Guns & Leather. Hands down the best range in the area. I am being serious go to G&L its also cheaper there, they charge 15+Tax in Gallatin.
-
From the places around here it should be 365hispanic.com all I see locally around nashville and gallatin is 1 black guy, 1 white girl, and 8-10 hispanic's.

I too have a plinkster 702 bought new last year at academy, For 100 bucks I think it has been pretty good, no issue's thus far...little jamming with one certain mag but walmart had their mags on clearance a while back and I bought 6 for around 10 bucks a piece. I have since scored a marlin model 60 and use it more often than not and the plinkster has been sitting. If I were to buy new I would go with the marlin but the plinkster I have hasn't been a lemon with around 1500 rounds through it!

ok here is the exact location. pult the triger guard sown and take the slide off...to the left of the hammer. beside the pin that goes up in the middle of the hammer.. right at the end of the bar with the wire spring there is a piece with a hook shape. with the hammer back its lifted up and point is towards the front... thats what is rattling it has no tension just kinda mechanical. with hammer down it lays flush with the frame. there is also a hole there...does a pin go through it? the opposite side does have a hole with a pin.
-
its not working for me...I downloaded a basic manual but its just a field strip manual... Anyone else rattle?
