  1. Don't know what he is shooting at, but it looks like a very small rifle.
  2. I saw a fairly inexpensive adapter for the Mossberg pump to make it feed them reliable. It was a part that could be swapped in and out fairly quickly, don't remember the details. May be the same type of adapter for other pumps. Was tempted like you bought price and reliability stopped me.
  3. They said a side arm was legal not an armed sidecar.
  4. Got my lower assembly back from Ruger today. Fast turn around, 8 days from when I dropped it at the Post Office till it showed up back in my mailbox with the free magazine in place. Safety feels more positive, will run a couple of magazines through it tomorrow.
  5. The Mail must go through
  6. They will probably declare the whole city a government location and restrict gun carry.
  7. First house I have owned with central air and it went down twice this Summer so far. Not knowing anything about them I called for service and looked over their shoulder trying to learn. First time it was an expansion valve that was causing the evaporator to freeze up. When it shut down and thawed, over flowed the evaporator pan and went into a lower pan that shut off everything when it filled with water. Service guy used a wet vac and sucked up all the water to get it running so he could do the troubleshooting. So when it stopped last week and I saw water on the floor I figured the evaporator was freezing up again. Called for service which was going to be the next day. I went out and bought a wet vac and sucked up the water and got the ac up. I was shutting it down every hour or so to thaw but noticed it wasn't freezing up so I just left it on and sucked up about 4 gallons of water every few of hours before it got deep enough to shut down. When it cooled off in the evening we opened windows and turned on window fans. Turned out to be the pump that drains the evaporator pan. The small $30 wet vac kept us cool and now hangs on the wall close to the air handler. Maybe I need to keep a Window unit on the shelf for back up for next time at least we could keep the bedroom cool.
  8. All the men are armed with long guns to come to town.
  9. And for the car lovers how about some Dove hunting.
  10. Time for some more big iron
  11. You Did What? Not very good gun handling.
  12. Last time I was in IL I still had NY plates on my truck and using the same law as referenced, I did have a loaded gun in the console. I stayed over night just below IL in KY and took Interstates South to North as much as possible and only stopped for food and fuel. Spent the next night in WI. They didn't get much of my money.
  13. We hired a realtor in Kingsport to help us find the right house and he was great in helping us see the important things in the area and finding the right house. We spent over a week and over 500 miles spread out over two trips with him and by the second day he knew better than us what we wanted. After he found us our house I asked him if I could recommend him to any of my Yankee friends and he said I could recommend him to any conservative friends that I had.
  14. Faster deer hunting car.
  15. We moved to NE TN 2 years ago, great move for us. Just got back from our first visit to Western NY since we moved and I swear I felt my chest tighten when we crossed the NY state line. Scared my wife when I grabbed my chest and groaned. :-)
  16. Anyone can have a hunting dog but a hunting kangaroo, that is special.

    Wedding

Went to a wedding back in Western NY yesterday. An old neighbors from before we moved, oldest daughter, was getting married for the first time at 42. She is the same age as our son with in a few days. She is a deputy sheriff and her new husband carries every day because he runs an ATM company. The bride among other duty service as the deputy for one of the judges in the county court regular, so he preformed the ceremony. In the middle of the ceremony he said he has know both of them since before they started dating and they had very different personalities that just seem to fit. He is very easy going and she is very high strung and needs to use everything on her gun belt every day. I told the judge after the ceremony that was first time I had ever heard gun belt in a wedding and liked it. He smiled and said he had to work hard to get it in.
  18. Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits
  19. Wonder who's kids these are being taken out to shoot in that car.
  20. Here is Baby Face and the Kid in their younger years
  21. I worked with a lot of IT hardware people over the years and did a little as a side responsibility to my main tasks for our group, so I can sympathize. Most of the real IT people had pretty messy offices and the bosses really didn't care as long as no private data documents were left out. I was suppose to keep my area a bit cleaner and I solved the problem by getting steel cabinets with lockable doors and extra filing cabinets. I kept some in my office but found corners in labs and other areas to stash a few more. You're right, if part of your job is to make value out of nothing you need a stash of parts.
  22. Grew up in NW Ohio, went to school in NW Indiana, got recruited out of school to work in research at Xerox in Western NY. Spent 37 years there most were fun but not all. Xerox has been in a death spiral for about 20 years now. I took good advice when I was young and lived below my means, invested my money and was ready to jump ship from about the time I turned 55. Turned down the first 3 offers to retire early then jumped on the 4th at 57 with a year severance and bridged medical. My only big mistake was I hung around NY for almost 10 years in retirement before moving to TN. Fought the good fight with the state gun organization trying to make NY part of the US again, including a couple of marches on the Albany and lots of money, but decided I would rather enjoy life instead and just moved to the US instead. Been loving life here in NE TN for 2 years now. Went back to NY for a wedding and visit some friends and was reminded why I left over and over. Did get to shoot a round of sport clays with a friend. Use to shoot clays with this guy a couple of times a month and neither of us had shot sport clays since I left. My over and under 12g Biden special was the only gun I thought was safe to transport back to NY. When asked why TN I tell them - Less: Snow, Taxes, Government - More: BBQ, Bluegrass, Sunshine.
