  1. Do they even still make backstraps without checkering? What ejection port isn't already "lowered" from the factory anymore?   Taking a soldering iron, saw, and sanding wheel to a plastic frame sounds way more dramatic to me than any statement I made.   I said what I said because I have seen some pretty horrific "custom stippling" jobs, that once the "surgeon" has finished his work that he tries to sell as some more expensive "improvement."
  2. That isn't even a rational comparison. Changing a part is in no way equivalent to what I said.
  3. Well, the SR9 and 45 I have had great triggers out of the box. Guess I was lucky.
  4. If you don't like the way it feels or fits, why not just buy a gun you DO like the fit and feel of? There are lots of choices.   I don't understand all this melting/whittling/grinding/etc. crap. Just buy a gun that fits YOU, instead of bastardizing one. :screwy:

  6. That's why I love my Fenix. The strobe is activated by holding down the cycle button. It doesn't come into play while going through low-low medium-medium-medium high-burn your retinas out.
  7. That may be true, but the requirements I saw a while back said two years experience.
  8. No, because they're all manufacturing jobs. I have no experience in those fields. Now, if they had a PR position, I'd be THE guy.
  9. If it follows standard procedure, it should read, "Gallatin, TN."
  10. Can anyone give me the definition of a LOVE crime? If "hate" crimes exist...
  11. OMG, I needed that!!!!!
  12. Journalism still has worth. There just is no journalism.
  13. If you try shooting a torso at 25 YARDS, a lawyer will have a field day with you. Beyond 21 FEET will give you enough scrutiny. See it for the tool it is; don't try to make it a tight 1911 with a 1 1/2 lb trigger.
  14. I said reasonable, not ridiculous.
  15. You might be surprised at how reasonable that could be... ;)
  16. We sidemen don't play for one band; we are "guns for hire," as it were. You pay us, we'll play.
  17. Goodwill; where the sidemen shop! :D
  18. It is one of "those" handguns that I believe everyone should have. Everyone should have a 1911, a 4" .357 revolver, a CZ, a Glock...   The CZ platform is one of the greatest of all time. Congrats.
  19. A letter from Glock to all dealers. This is just an excerpt. I am NOT including the document.   "Good morning, please see attached GLOCK’s most up to date MAP price list and MAP Policy Letter to include the newest G42 & G43 models. The MAP policy is the lowest price you can advertise your GLOCK pistols for and is applicable to all dealers who sell GLOCK firearms regardless of their status as a Stocking Dealer."   You can sell it for whatever loss you want to take, but you have to use the MAP guidelines to advertise.
  20. Good luck, with both the gigs and the attempt to not print! Wish I was working with ya!   (You need a smaller gun for these things. Trust me; I know.)
  21. While it's moving? ;)
  22. There are other suspects. The investigation is ongoing.

The first batch had serious issues. Had a customer that had to send his back twice before it was corrected. The later ones seem to have the bugs out. I hate that you need a tool to field strip it. I'm not a fan of that.
