Question for a Glock armorer
E4 No More replied to E4 No More's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Yes, it's a Gen4 RSA. I appreciate the offer as well Erik, but the same question would apply to the G23 RSA as well. The G29 uses a 0-9-1 spring group whereas the G27 uses a 0-8-1 group, but I cannot find the assembly dimensions to see if that one spring is the only difference in the RSAs. -
My Kobra Karry was a beast. It could digest the hottest rounds without a hiccup. Unfortunately, I rarely carried it so I traded it in for a couple of Glocks. Congratulations!

Yes, he could, but he won't. -
Question for a Glock armorer
E4 No More replied to E4 No More's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
That's what I'm asking. The G29 & G27 appear to be the same size, so if I can simply put in a G27 spring it would help. It's loaded with reduced pressure rounds, and it's more about making him feel secure. You'd have to know my FIL to understand completely, but he's not likely to last another year on this earth. I gave him my pistol to keep until he dies to make him feel more secure. -
Without going into detail, my elderly FIL has my G29 for protection. I have loaded 10mm cartridges to .40 cal pressures for him but he says that he cannot work the slide. The question is, can I replace the G29's recoil spring with a G27 recoil spring to make that easier?

Looks like a bigger version of the Kobra Karry in a different color. Nice!

Come on! You'd hit it too!

I usually do not carry cash. I'm a minimalist when it comes to things in my pocket, and I hate change clinking around me when I move. I carry my debit card unless I'm pretty sure that I'm going to use a credit card. Any cash I get I give to my wife to carry in her purse.

I cut my own hair so it seems silly to tip my barber.

How about his type of glass protection?

Well, it was arson, and they suspected someone but could not develop enough evidence to prosecute. That's old information, however, because I choose not to patronize that establishment, (and I moved to Lascassas). I appreciate the treatment that I receive at Guns & More versus the treatment that I receive at that particular establishment.

I certainly agree that - based on my dealings with them - they are good people. They appear to be genuinely interested in taking care of their customers. I'm also reminded that the gun shop in Lavergne has bars and huge concrete barriers to their front doors, but they've not only been broken into but also had their building set aflame.

I wasn't referring to you.

Consider this: Guns & More was started by a couple who took on an immense challenge to compete with big box stores and online retailers. They started in a modest location with one of them working a regular job to pay the bills. Like any businessperson, you have to deal with the cards that are drawn, and put money back where you can. No one on this forum knows whether they were cheap, unthinking, limited by narrow profit margins, or even had a contractor scheduled to arrive tomorrow to secure the site. Starting a business and growing it - particularly a brick & mortar gun shop - is not at all easy, and the way some sound it should only be attempted by the rich.
-
It's not always that simple. In retail there's the old saying, "Location, location, location!" Retail space in choice areas have many considerations to take into account making your choices quite limited many times.
-
I get it. Having dealt with retail property owners, I can give a W.A.G. that they look at it as a window is a lot cheaper to replace than to modify the property and then return it back to normal condition if the tenant does not renew their lease or defaults on it. They couldn't care less about the losses of the tenant.
-
They may have been limited on what they could do by the building owner.

I have a Glock 20 just because I wanted a 10mm. I carry P320's in .357 Sig. I hated my M&P's that I had.

Yes, they moved over by the liquor store at the corner of Sam Ridley and Weakly Lane.

Yeah, right...the F150 that I once owned dented when you looked at it wrong.

Now that I live in the country the first thing I did is put a deer whistle on my vehicles. I know some people poo-poo them, but I've watched the deer react to our vehicles coming down the road, and I see them run the other way. One young buck sort of shook his head like he was taking a WTF double take, then shot off away from the car.

Sure there's been systemic oppression in the past 100 years. It doesn't take a genius to know that. The Irish and the Catholics have been systemically oppressed too, but what's that got to do with today? EDIT: The only systemic oppression nowadays is called "Affirmative Action."

I wouldn't know since I don't know what he said on the matter.

Don't feel bad for me. I don't miss football at all, and it gives me more time for more important things in life. As a veteran, (although I don't think that's a qualifier for anyone's opinion on the matter), a BLACK professor says the "issue" is bull The statistics do not bear it out. In other words it's a made-up issue.

Look short-arm...you're the one who needs to get over it. I picked up a line in the thread when it was back open. Move on with your liberal drivel. PS: I've been camping so it took a few days to respond to this one.
