  1. You may be right in saying we are discussing it, but not in a meaningful way. I find it hard, nay, impossible to support any cause that begins by spitting in my face.
  2. If that turns out to be the case, we are in for some interesting times.

    AR prices

AR prices are getting pretty good, just noticed these lowers for $29.99, might have to build a few more. http://www.primaryarms.com/anderson-manufacturing-ar-15-stripped-lower-receiver-closed-ear-ar-15-a3-lwfor-um-closed Right now I'm looking for a 9mm lower, local, under or equal to the ones from PSA at $179.99. http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-glock-9mm-complete-classic-pistol-lower.html
  4. At this point, it's beyond the initial issue. Now, it's them trying to get out of a situation they should not of gotten into in the first place. Just don't get it, it's not about religion, or forcing someone to stand, salute or whatever. It's about the deliberate and calculated show of disrespect for the symbols of our nation. Yes, they have the right to not stand, have the right to burn, piss on or otherwise mutilate the flag, but I have the same right to not give a turd about why they are doing it.
  5. Well, it's like me walking up to your house and ripping up your flower beds to get you into a conversation about the HOA. It would be hard to get past the flower issue. Same deal here, it's hard getting some, me included, to care why you are disrespecting the very country, and by extension, the soldiers that secured your freedom to act like an azzhat.
  6. Again, if they would of just stayed in their locker room and kept out of it, we wouldn't be at this point. And now that they are acting like they are, I'm sure DOD is having second thoughts as well.
  7. That's what I've been saying but some just can't comprehend that; they only want to see things their way.
  8. Those type of incidents may not be too far ahead. There are some that are really off their rails. http://www.dailyherald.com/news/20170928/u-46-board-member-the-flag-means-nothing-more-than-toilet-paper-to-me
  9. No, they are using it as a recruiting tool. How many people would volunteer, or allow family to volunteer if they seen troops treated like they were during the Vietnam war? Most contracts do not allow making the team or the NFL look bad, though I see that part is subjective.
  10. Yes, but I highly doubt the partnership continues as before. Of course, most miss the fact that they must use propaganda to recruit in today's "snowflake" environment.
  11. He has a point, you edited his post and made little attempt to mark where you edited it. I had to go back to the original to see what you had changed.
  12. So why use "accuracy's sake" and not "opinion's sake"?
  13. If they would have stayed in the locker room, and said they are just pulling away from the politics I'd have a different opinion. But no, they want to stay in or lock arms in protest so, we are where we are.
  14. Actually the original was more accurate.
  15. Yea, you'd be wrong. Nobody is saying they don't have the right to protest, just that they don't like they way their doing it. I highly doubt the Army is OK with it, and I will be surprised if they don't pull back their advertising once the paid for commercials run their course.
  16. It's this kind of attitude that kinda ticks me off. Just because I don't like rioting, burning and looting stores, or anyone disrespecting our country I'm The Problem???
  17. Hmmm, all this planning, sounds like a RICO case to me.
  18. Yea, so all you do is soak them (cracked but whole) in a 5gl bucket of water for about 10 or 15 minutes, then pour the water out over an area that may have worms, they come right up. Have a clean bucket of water handy to rinse them off or they'll die.
  19. Yeah, I've got two large trees, fixing to be one. I hate them things, can't walk in the backyard without almost rolling an ankle. The roots will kill some other trees, lost a couple fruit trees before I figured that out. Did learn a good trick to get fishing worms with them though.
  20. Not necessarily. Some of these terrorists are not what I call "mental", they are smart and cunning. They shoot up places to further their agenda, not because they have a screw loose, but because they truly believe in their cause...No matter how F'ed up it is.
  21. Or you can construe this to mean that Roof is a loon, and him having a rebel flag, shooting blacks, in a church is a one off situation, not a reason to ban flags, remove web accounts and remove statues. But I digress, it only counts if its a white on black crime I guess.
  22. Count me in as one of the 10. I have let management know about flags that needed replacement, and have given them contact info for the boy scout troops that perform flag retirement ceremonies. I have stopped by the side of the highway to pickup flags that have blown off the poles, and retired quite a few myself. I don't view flying a flag that needs retirement as disrespect, improper etiquette maybe, but not disrespect. At least they have taken the time to fly one. I personally don't have a flag flying, because I know that I may not pay as much attention to it as is necessary, and don't have the proper setup to fly one 24/7. I flew a few of course but with so many getting blown off the pole (pole and all in some cases) I just quit flying them altogether.
  23. Nothing to see here...

    Target

It's all about the speed of the bullet, and the angle of the target. The minimum safe distance for rifle is 100 yards, but like in this video, you are shooting a faster and heavier than normal bullet, you may want to back that up some more. I always hang my targets so upon impact the bullet will be deflected down into the ground. I have shot at those IPSC silhouette targets and have been hit by splatter, but none that deep, and I was much too close anyway. For handgun (the real handguns not the ones the NFA calls handguns) I keep it no closer than 35 Yards, and have yet to feel/hear anything come back.
  25. No, for me at least, it's not about taking a knee, it's about disrespecting the Flag, and the American Anthem.
