My questions is; why I should have to "fix" anything? If I don't like the way it looks, feels, or shoots..I don't buy it. The only time I ponder what trigger to install is when I am assembling my current build, and even there I don't buy any of these high speed triggers (unless I find a killer deal). Now if a weapon I own starts to feel a bit different, shoot different, or otherwise feel funny, then maybe I'll look to replace something, otherwise they will stay with whatever parts I got them with. I put tritium sites on my G23, and a laser, and due to me sending it in for one of the recalls (for which I never had an issue with BTW), a new lower. I replaced my trigger on my 10/22, but that was because after ~25 years and thousands of rounds it needed some work. My Kimber has an excellent trigger, much smoother than my Glock, but doesn't make me want to screw with my Glock, or any of my other weapons. I thought of replacing the trigger on my Rem 700 when the recall came out (just because it was close to hunting season), but after looking at the prices of most triggers out there I sent it in and guess what, it hits where I aim it. I don't knock those who do, but myself I can't see spending a ton of money on parts that will not make my gun shoot that much ($$$) better.

A very good look at how they (Owners, Union, Players) are really thinking about this issue. Seems they are divided into two camps, one that wants it to be a pure sport driven League or a Social driven League. Well, I'm voting with my wallet...I'm out of the NFL business, and with many sports starting to make the same noise, maybe I'll just stick to the hunting and fishing side of sports. http://www.espn.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/21170410/gaffes-tv-ratings-concerns-dominated-nfl-players-forged-anthem-peace-league-meetings

A good read by Oliver North on this series: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017/10/27/oliver-north-pbs-and-ken-burns-get-vietnam-and-richard-nixon-wrong-again.html

I have a Glock 23, I have had it since the late 80s., it is my EDC most times and is as reliable as the day I bought it. I don't consider Glocks ugly, there are a few out there that esthetically anyway just don't meet my standards so I don't buy them. I own other makes and models, a Browning HP, Springfield and Kimber 1911, Rugger Mark II, Springfield XDs and yes even a dreaded Jennings .22, and all except the Jennings work flawlessly. On duty, I've carried a handful of different ones, the Berretta 92 most often, but have carried a Glock, Sig and an H&K for short durations. Never really considered any one of them less reliable than an other, always felt assured they would go bang if/when needed. Bottom line is, I buy what I want and what I like, and Glock (and the .40, but that's another argument right there) has a place in my stable.

Well, I guess Kaepernick infected the whole organization. Seems the 49ers are now trying their hand at not only alienating any US patriot, but many of us pro 2nd Amendment folks as well. http://www.breitbart.com/sports/2017/10/26/san-francisco-49ers-pledge-500000-secure-suppressor-ban-gun-control-measures/

This needs it's own thread, another TN Democrat anti-gunner is trying to get one over on us, and with this Governor it may just pass if we don't seriously raise a stink about it.

SilencerCo Maxim 50 Suppressed Muzzle Loader

Sure, the abridged NY reload, but have you ever practiced trying to reload a single barrel to get a second shot off, at the same deer? Not that one could not, I imagine there are times a deer will not run off after hearing, or feeling, the first non kill shot, but most times, even with my bolt action, it takes time to get the second shot off due to them running off at a high rate of speed. That would be interesting to see yours all mufflered up though, but I imagine it would get rather unwieldy with all that weight up front. -
I guess he figured cats spring leaks all the time.

SilencerCo Maxim 50 Suppressed Muzzle Loader

I'm to understand that it is "permanently" attached via some type of glue. Though unsure if it can be opened up for cleaning, it is said with a little work you can take it all the way off. -

Pass, for that price I don't care if it is totally silent, which it is not. And, to me anyway, it is next to worthless on a BP, it's not like you are going to get another shot most times. Now if they could make a rotating magazine like contraption like they do on PCP rifles then they may be onto something. -
He hit it because he could, and I'm sure there were more than we know about. The thing I wonder about is, why was he so great? Or was it just because he got assassinated that everyone holds him up as a shining example of a President?

Ha, I must of been typing. It irks me to see tipping jars at places like starbucks, where the coffee is already way overpriced.

In Japan it is the same way, no tipping. They get paid for what the job entails and tipping is seen as insulting. I'm not much for tipping I must admit, mostly because I rarely get what I consider outstanding service. It sucks that waiters, waitresses get paid less than they should because of tips, at least they used to , don't know about now, but when I get ignored, or other bad service, I don't think a tip is in order. I used to just leave a couple/three bucks on the table for a less than $50 bill, but was told that 20-30% was what I should be leaving. Heck that's $10 or $15 for a refill (maybe) of tea, so now, I let the wife calculate the tip, that way I wash my hands of it and don't see the bill. Yea, I'm cheap, but I really don't feel that the service is worth that much, specially at some of these restaurants around here.

Sorry to hear about that, my condolences; they have a short life but do give us all their love their entire time and I know she was loved back.

Naw, now stick it in a bird and let me take some hogs, then we can talk.

@MP5_Rizzo has it right, it can go either direction and depending on your weapon, and training, it can be used to pull back on without slipping, or to keep you from burning, or perforating, your hand on a short barreled weapon. I personally don't use them, they seem to be just another gadget to me. Besides some of the smooth hand guards most have a rough surface so your hand should not be slipping in either direction.

Seen this in another forum and thought I'd share. Goes to show you that these dang laws don't work, and that American ingenuity is alive and well.

I get sidetracked sometimes, and accidentally learn some interesting stuff. This link caught my attention, don't know why. So tell me this is not click bait at its finest. Great Tits Are Evolving Longer Beaks Because of Bird Feeders

I rarely pay for anything in cash at a store, mostly because VISA will back up my sale if something goes wrong and I get points. Only when I buy something off here or Craigslist in a face to face transaction will I use cash, checks only at the DMV and property taxes, Money Orders when the other party will not accept PayPal. I do carry cash though, mostly less than $100 just in case.

A disarmed populace, how well that has worked out in the past for the populace??

Warden in my area would of just stuck it to him anyway.

I've been updating some of my gun maintenance tools, bought a few punches, more on that later, a gun mat and a gun vise. I looked at three different ones, the old Tipton, the new Tipton, not impressed BTW, and finally settled on the Lyman vice and mat. Its lightweight since its only for light smithing, cleaning and trigger work but it holds much tighter than the new Tipton at a much cheaper price. The mat, I like it, it has built up areas to keep screws and springs from rolling off, something which always happened on my standard mat. Ok, so on the punches..I bent a few trying to take a barrel off my S&W M&P flattop. Darn tapered pin just would not give, beat the heck out of it with all the punches I had. Finally got a set of nail setters from Lowes and the middle one worked, was damaged a bit but worked. The issue was that it had a round head and just would not keep a punch centered. The nail setter has a hollow end, so it stayed on the pin. Two taps and it was out, of course by then I had clamped it down to let me have both hands free so it received the full force of the hammer, though I only gave it light/medium swings.

Looks like you pulled your shot to the right a bit.
