  1. I concur! By the way, I like your new avatar. Didn't know you had even been considering having the operation.
  2. Remember when a "pound" of coffee was 16oz instead of 12oz.??
  3. If a magazine shortage is the real reason, they could just enclose a certificate for a mag when they are available. More than likely, this is just a backdoor price increase. Or maybe they are just trying to catch up with Kimber.
  4. Have you tried looking @ Lone Oaks LONG list holster cos.? http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14977

    Long guns in cars

the other option currently is to have the gun in non-firing order. you can pop the 2 pins and disassemble the ar and carry in a case designed that way (like a rock river factory case) or I have also been changing the bcg out with a 22 conversion that does not match my mags. if i'm going to shoot .22 I will load the mags and have the .223 bcg in the gun and the conversion in the tube it came in and no .223 loaded mags. if i'm shooting .223, load the mags up and drop the 22 kit in. the gun will not function and fire as it sits and it's much easier to load mags at home. Reading that explanation made my head hurt. I'm going to take 2 aspirin and carry my long guns if I have a reason to take them with me.
  6. Yes, with about $1800 worth of seperation. Like most other things, the more you spend, the more you get. http://www.kimberamerica.com/

  8. Good idea. I'l take one of those too.
  9. How are you going to carry concealed in that Baywatch outfit???
  10. +1 And maybe a rider for a couple thousand over basic homeowners.
  11. And they don't sell in TN, AL or GA. Their wholesale dealer name is Chattanooga Shooters Supply. You need to get a gun shop to order for you.
  12. Skip's can get you some in 2-3 days. Assuming CSS has it in stock.
  13. Looks like Ammo-to-go is running 2 to 3 weeks behind on shipping. If you need it quick, Murphy will probably bite you with 4 to 5 week delay.
  14. You're correct. I was living in Atl. at the time. Gulf war was what got them really going. Cable companies were picking them up all across the country. They were the only network live from Irag (Wolfe Blitzer, I think).
  15. Try to haggle with Skip's. He's got a Glock order coming in and about to place a Sig order. I just got a Para .45 Todd Jarrett from him so that takes me out of the market for a while. The way things are going I'm having a real hard time trying to fulfill the government mandated one gun a month.
  16. Welcome from just down the road. Who do you ALPA for? Used to have a friend from Cleveland who flew for Piedmont, but he rolled a Pitts Bi-plane about 3 ft. to close to the ground.
  17. I'd say mid 40's was young. BTW, it wasn't me. If you had been in Bonefish it might have been.
  18. Also, look inside the barrels to see if there is any pitting. I think most shot shells from that era had corrosive primers. If the barrels look pretty good, I would use some 0000 steel wool to remove surface rust and smooth out the stock. A refinish could greatly reduce collector value. Old guns can be a thing of beauty, especially if it has sentinental/family history associated with it.
