  1. However a lift and other gaudy accourtments are hereby banned by the wife. Didnt realize how much wierd hate there was from Chevy owners, driving a Mustang by a Camaro they wouldnt react but now anytime I pass a Silverado they shoot me a dirty look. Guess its a Clarksville thing  Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks for all the compliments guys! Its a 2010 F250 Lariat 4x4 And Tobie came about a month before, the only person that lets me keep my things lol Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  3. LMAO.    That is just great, those libs blow a gasket anytime you hit them with some situational humor.  :usa:
  4. It's been a long time coming, been slowly assimilating myself as a real Southerner and getting rid of all things that make me look like a city boy New Yorker that I am. (Well, except New York Rangers stuff, still a hockey fan...) Traded in my dangerously modified Mustang for a F250 Super Duty Lariat...sad part is, all the work I put into my V6 Mustang was undone as the 6.4L Powerstroke is turbo'ed and even stock it dyno'ed faster than my Mustang. Guess I'll be able to eat something besides Ramen this winter! For some odd reason driving a Mustang in the snow isn't a good idea :yum: The wife already said the truck was hers (to include the pistols, the SBR and the shotgun). I can't ever have nice things! 5. Foxes are gonna get in no matter what you gotta kill em. My grandfathers farm out in Washington County VA had a reinforced chicken coop with aluminum reinforcements and traps around it... the damn foxes dug sapper tunnels underneath it. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  6. Dont forget your PT Belt!...wait, that's Army humor :/ Some other stuff: - those piano wire saws, theyre really nifty...also good if you want to Mafia-Assassinate your neighbors to take their Girl Scout Cookies during Armageddon - baby wipes...good for baths, sanitizing, when you have the runs or swamp-ass and for bartering...or for, babies? - foot powder! Cant hump all that load with chopped meat for feet! - extra socks: they warm your feet, hands, ears, neck and umm....third leg...also goes with the food powder - safety pins to dry out your socks and skivvies by pinning then to your ruck Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  7. Entrenching tool...theyre cliche but if you need to move some dirt, edge your sidewalk, have a portable griddle or bludgeon your fellow man then there is no alternative. Multi-tool for sure, Leatherman makes good ones, I cant tell you how many standard issue Gerbers I have snapped. Ratcheting screwdriver with different bits...you never know. Im not sure whats all in that med kit by the picture but if nothing else all Id carry is torniquets, tramau dressings (Isreali bandages), hemostatic dressings (QuikClot) and if you have the skill then Saline Locks and one or two 1000mL bags of lactated ringers or saline. Compass and protractor...along with good elevation maps that are up to date so that Lake you found on your 1998 map doesnt turn into a Condo in 2016. Water purification tablets. Hand crank emergency band radio (unless its an EMP then maybe not) Id suggest loading all of this and humping it...all of that gear, plus rations and ammunition and weaponry is going to weight around 100+ which isnt too bad if youre used to it...most people would get smoked after a few hundred feet. Or you can do what some friends of mine have done and have 55 gal drums stashed around everywhere near Fayetteville, NC filled with nitrogen to preserve reloading supplies, ammo, guns, MREs, smokes, dip and booze. 8. Its already happening...[emoji56] [emoji6]
  9. This is why you need to manufacture your explosives on site [emoji56] Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  10. 2 extra 115gr 9mm rounds are better than a fully loaded Ruger P345D .45 or a HK VP9 lol. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  11. Took a extra large cardboard tube like you get from a large sheet of mapping or butcher paper. Melted a bunch of crayons to plug the bottom and then emptied almost 100+ Blockbuster M80s into it and kept packing it tight (not knowing the dangers of HSF to Ordnance, low order explosive safeties...blah blah eod blah). Then we cut a bunch of long firework fuses with box cutters and extend it and shoved it down in there and MELTED (stupid me) more crayons on it to seal it Wrapped it in ductape and set it on a chain link fence in the Hunts Point area of NYC... Blew out every damn car and building window and car windshield around....oops Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  12. Picking up the wife a G43, I have heard nothing but good for those Taran extensions. And even with the +2 it doesnt look like it is any longer than with the OEM pinky-extension. Good field report, thanks for that. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  13. Im sure half the things I did when I was younger would be considered domestic terrorism now... Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  14. Good copy. I am in Montgomery County right now - I did some research on MARTA yesterday, wasn't sure if MC was part of it or not seeing as I did not see them. Thanks for clearing that up.
  15. Jesus. I might just got with a Ford powerstroke Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  16. I heard it was just the gas ones for now. A few of our staff officers are having theirs bought back - guess Chrysler and Dodge are just paying everyone off to avoid a bunch of crap. Ill have to drive down to Nashville and pick their brains - they said it wont pass MARTA so I have a feeling they have the DPF/EGR deletes - which i was going to do anyway. I will grab one of my diesel mechanic buddies to go down there with me, Im sure the salesmen dont know crap about engines. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  17. Took a knee and drank water then proceeded to educate myself, thank you all for the first-hand sources.   I checked the VIN on the truck I am going to buy against the recall webpage that Dodge has set up - seems they get 4/5 done with the 5th being something about the airbag deployment.   I do know that what I make up for in mpg is going quickly out the door on oil changes, air filters and fuel injector pumps or turbos at the worst.   This will be a fun experience nonetheless.
  18. Hey ya'll, since Ive been trying to sell my 'Stang I have been looking into a few truck deals around Clarksville and Nashville, found one that I really like but I am a little uneasy about it. It's a 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup 3500 SLT, about 168K on it - but it has the 6.7 Cummins in it. I have ONLY heard bad things about it, I dont know jack squat about diesels unless theyre in a HMMWV and even then I barely know what is going on. I heard that removing its emissions equipment will help alleviate some of the problems. Has anyone had a 6.7L Cummins and if so what other problems (and solutions) have you had? I dont want to get this truck then end up paying the price of a Lambo worth in maintenance. Any things I should really pay attention to or anything I should learn before owning a diesel? For what it is worth I am treating this like equipment, Im not lifting it or throwing stacks on it. Just using it for hauling...and occassionally high kinetic operations against hybrids.
  19. The wife and I are heading to Royal (Regal?) Range today...I already broke my 1911 cherry -think I'll shame myself further and get a Glock Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  20. Yes, moral policing leads down a slippery slope however We as a society need events like this to make people accountable for their actions. 37 million is too damn high. And there are obviously more. Thats a little more than 10% of the population right there - with more people who cheat "analog" Yah hacking is wrong its breaking the law blah blah blah those people can get bent and DIAF. If youre unhappy get a damn divorce and move on. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  21. Small victories, as much as a lot of people are scared of cyber crime and "hacktivists" there are some out there who do a good job - and good deeds. Apparently, there is/was a very successful online site for your S.O to seek out an affair. It is called Ashley Madison and was aimed at women - their motto is "Life is Short. Have An Affair." Well, a group called the Impact Team has hit their servers, and hit them hard. Sounds like an inside job - they already leaked total network architecture, network administration protocols, employee information and salary. 37 million people used it, and were secured in the thought that if they paid $19 their info would be scrubbed. Follow the money, there is always a trail. I hope the Impact Team releases this information regardless if the company that owns the domain obeys their order of permenantly taking it down. Yah its a crime but I'd give these guys medals. Then a job. http://krebsonsecurity.com/2015/07/online-cheating-site-ashleymadison-hacked/ Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  22. Depends what you are using it for...Media center? Gaming? Daily browsing? Server/SQL uses? Hacking and forensics? Ubuntu has its problems depending on the hard ware but 14.04 LTS is actually holding up really well. If you want a lighter, faster version of that without the excess of programs and features Xubuntu is slick as hell. For everyday/media Id go with Mint...and make sure to grab Wine/PlayOnLinux from the depos for your Windows program needs (iTunes for me) I had a lot of success using ArchLinux as a media host in my house, had a media server built off of it using LAMP, it also has its "every day" niche For server management and networking Id go with CentOS...its the open source version of Red Hat Enterprise...RHE is nice, but I dont like it...guess too much Army crap is built on it and it is really glitchy For Network Analysis and Forensics id go with Kali Linux. 23. Definitely going to try and take some of my Joes and head down there. Itd be really "unfortunate" if some of those turds got dragged behind the shield wall and got dumped up and the cops "couldnt see." 1st Amendment or not, those dudes can get bent by lifers in Rikers. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  24. Theyre pretty damn nice stock. Had a SCAR-H when I was stationed in Flordia, dont see why the civilian version wouldnt be as good. The one thing to watch out for is the reciporcating charging handle, it'll pull your shots to the right a little and give you a nice thwack in the hand (or face if youre a lefty) The 45 degree safety is a little wierd getting used to, as almost everything else is 90, it took a bit to not want to snap it off by pushing it down lol. Congrats on the buy, its a really nice rifle - by Operators for Operators lol. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  25. I do agree with it, but there are a bunch of damn limitations as with anything in the military - the Army especially.   In the Land of Puppies and Rainbows, if somehow this got passed; to allow everyone to carry on post - whether personal or government issue, a lot of Div Cdrs, Garrison Cdrs, and leaders down to the Company level will put out policy letters or some sort of crazy packet to make it difficult as hell or only allow certain favored souls to carry. It'll probably be SNCOS and Officers carrying only.    Then you have ND's, just because we are military doesn't mean we're weapon virtuoso's. That goes for weapons available - my unit right now has all of fifteen M9s. Unless they want us slinging our rifles like we're at JRTC or chilling on a FOB, but I highly doubt we'd ever get live rounds. The ASP's would have a nightmare.   Logistically - so much would have to go into this it'd be a damn nightmare.   The only way it'd be okay is if they said we could open carry M9s or conceal our private arms. Some Commanders right now are bent out of shape over the new uniforms and are trying to prevent people from wearing them - not to mention arming all of your pissed off soldiers who you just made rearrange your motor pool again. Granted, down range we have our weapons on us and could blast each other all we want, but everyone is armed. On post, if you are one of the few that is concealed carrying, there is not much stopping you from busting a cap in you new college LT or your E4 team leader when no one is around.   That is all stuff the Pentagon or whomever would make this decision(s) would take into effect.   Don't see it happening. Maybe for recruiters and AGR, but that's it. IIRC I think Gov Jindal allowed all NG members in his State to carry now.
