It does confused me why Russia WOULD NOT want to take out ISIS positions, a decent amount of their foreign fighters are from Dagestan and Chechnya. Remember in 2000 when the Rooskies ran into Chechnya and destroyed them to prove a point? Then forced the international community to rebuild them. Hell - if we are going to fight another war by Proxy we might as well go into all the old Soviet Bloc States and start giving them weaponry to go raise hell in Russia. This is not going to turn out good. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Definitely going to echo what Rgaper said. I travel by car to and from NYC occassionally during 4 day weekends, I cut through WV, into MD and through NJ and NY. Do not make yourself a target. When I travelled with my Mustang I only got pulled over once in 8 round trips - and that was in NYC for tints, but they let me go when I showed them TN Registration and a Mil ID. No confederate flag or "the south will rise again" swag everywhere. Never go more than 5 over. Ive never had any trouble. Stay alert stay alive. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/10/01/world/europe/russia-airstrikes-syria.html?referer= Just as I, and many others, have imagined - the Rooskies have decided to take on the anti-Assad rebels outside of Homs. Instead of attacking ISIS positions. This is not suprising but the cherries in the State Dept and the Pentagon are having their undergarments ruffled. Putin and the Kremlin have supported Assad before he became a household name. I find this whole thing to be amusing. The Huffington Post had a 3-page length flow chart showing the money and support, these last 2 weeks have probably doubled that. Putin is setting the stage for Assad to fight ISIS so they can look like they saved the day and undermine America. I am sure they will take out a few HVTs. Theyve already taken out some CIA trained guys. Do not be suprised when they "accidently" take out a CAG, SAS or CIA position. Anything to take a stab at us. Or the tin-foil thought process would be that while Russia is causing a stink in Southwest Syria around Homs, ISIS will be regaining territory on the Turkish border since the Americans will be grounded amidst this giant charlie-foxtrot. Things in the Middle East just got that much more exciting.

10mm Loads - Unique or Bullseye
CommsNBombs replied to CommsNBombs's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Thanks for the input guys. I figured neither would be good for 10mm because of how they burn. Dont want to use up my H110. Any suggestions for a happy medium load with AA#7 or 9? Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk -
Hey ya'll - as I wait for my Glock 29 to get to my LGS I have been scrounging up supplies as I make my foray into the world of 10mm. I will be using Missouri Bullet Co coated 180gr TCFP bullets for these. Or (depending on Midway Sales/Academy) 180gr Hornady XTPs. I have a lot of experience now loading with Unique - even though sometimes it wants to meter like wet sand. However I also have a few pounds of Bullseye I have not opened. I have been pouring over data and reading THR, GlockTalk and a few other forums and everyone seemed to err on the side of extreme caution or just said DO NOT use Bullseye. Anyone have any experience loading Full House with Bullseye? I don't want to the die the ironic death of old-EOD-tech-blown-up-by-Glockernade. If it is a no-go I have no problem getting more Unique. And I'll also be selling that Bullseye - so win-win for me and someone else I guess. Unless of course someone has a "for-serious" recipe for 10mm. The other problem is the data online doesn't say if it is 10mm Lite or Full House. A lot of the load data with Bullseye seems to be similar with .40SW, but due to the increased case space I do not want to overpressure something, especially since I will be switching between coated lead and FMJs. Thanks in advance.

The wife and I shoot pistol there almost exclusively. Only because a few times we whipped the SBRs out we got hassled by the RSO on duty. Youd think an ATF branch was there. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Should have specified, I am sorry - I meant are you doing more rifle, pistol, tactical, etc?

I recommend getting into homebrew first. Nowadays it seems everyone is doing it, and you can find a plethora of online help and kits regarding it. Remember, making your mash is still the most important part... When we "graduated" to distilling we did it on a stove top reflux still we made to use in an apartment on a gas stove or grill - we had a made it out of copper, with the cooling unit being first - about a 10 foot small coil that we submerged in a fishing cooler and ran off into a 5 gal bucket. That would not evenly cool it so we went to a 18" downpipe and put a "muffler" over it with two spigots - one so we could run a water hose from out sink through it and another hose leading to the drain. Now - if you have a ton of room you can make a giant reflux still out of old copper water boilers and have your cooling unit setup anyway you see fit. It is a great hobby to get into - and when the world ends, you bet money people would trade you virgins and cigs for the stuff. A lot of work goes into it but it is a lot of fun and a great source of pride - especially when you have your own recipes. Other tertiary things to keep in mind are the type of plastics or glass you may or may not use to store/capture your end product. Fermentation of your mash. The Almighty Original Gravity. Different kinds of sugars and strains of yeast. Not drinking methanol. Hooyah! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

I really like MCSC over in Southside, about a 35m drive from Campbell - closer from Clarksville. The ranges are great, 95% of the time the RSOs are cool people (I also used to RSO there). Way better than TN Gun Country - I'll keep my opinion of them to myself. The riverside and marina are not too far from there, I can bring my cheapo Weber charcoal grill out there and cook up some burgers if we get this situated. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Ive been getting denied lately in TN but I always get the appeal back approved. I get delayed in KY but that gets cleared in 6 days - it can be almost anything; for me its my Clearance and caveats. My coworker got denied because she used her maiden name (recent divorce). Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Arfcomers are such snobs. Throwing money at something does not make it better. A $50K GT500 is still faster than a $100K Jaguar. PSA offers real quality build kits/uppers. Are you going to be some sort of super tacticool SEAL sniper with it? No. Same token - just because I spent $3K on DD, BCM or Noveske crap does not mean I will be either. My $500 PSA SBR will still kill someone. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Guess it really depends on the mission set. Need a FB set up really quick and augment local nationals? ODA Slap some and steal their airfield? Regt

I'd take an ODA, a really good Sattelite operator, cook, generator and wheel-vehicle mechanic, a FO and a JTAC over a whole BN of scrolled jagoffs :P :P :P

Also for Rangers: 75th Ranger Regiment is a light/airborne Special Operations Forces (different than Special Forces) that was made to be highly agile and lethal, can deploy anywhere within 72 hours and is good at taking hard targets. To join the Regiment you can come in with an Option 40 11X contract meaning: Basic/OSUT (infantry), jump school, Ranger Assesment and Selection Program (8 week program, used to be a 3 week program called Ranger Indoctrination Program [RIP]) where you are taught small unit tactics, emergency first aid (sort of like Advanced-CLS), airborne/pathfinder operations and mostly getting the dog-crap smoked out of you. Other than that they will take dudes from the Regular Army too - the process is a little different as you have to be interviewed, write a Letter of Intent and be released by your Sergeant Major - just a bigger pain in the butt. As I mentioned in the above post, Ranger School is a leadership school meant to hone those skills - but now they sent pretty much anyone who wants to go. It is more of a bragging right but you are damn sure that virtually every NCO especially 11B/Cs (Infantrymen) in Regiment have a Tab. They are both called "Ranger School" but it is different than RASP - albeit the cirriculum is very similar. And the whole differentiation between Tab and Scroll: The unit patch of the 75th RR looks like a scroll, when you go to Ranger School you are awarded a skill identifier tab that says RANGER on it. Much like the President's 100 Tab, Special Forces Tab and Sapper Tab...and then some units have unit-designation tab (AIRBORNE and MOUNTAIN) and then you have the unauthorized tabs like Recon, Sniper, Artic, Jungle
-
Ranger School is branded as a Infantry leadership school, all NCOs in the 75th Ranger Regiment regardless of MOS or duty position must go to it to keep their slot. I believe it is E6 and above, but that may have changed. The whole deal with it was that it was a social experiment. Ranger School was the last non-SOF cool-guy school that only allowed males in it. Now with the addition of females it left a lot of people jaded about the heritage. Also - it didn't have that they all pretty much failed Pre-Ranger, and were allowed to continue. Most of them failed RAP week, and some were recycled. Then they failed Darby and were recylced. Then failed Mountain and even then the 2 were recycled. It seems like a PC/publicity stunt. Absolute garbage - I am suprised they weren't peer'ed out - probably someone from the top dictated that. I mean cool - congrats, you passed, but multiple recycles, not suscepitble to peer-outs and the fact that the media was all up the RTB's ass the whole entire time takes away from what the "School of All Schools" is supposed to be. Now, there will be a bigger annoyance if they allowed women to go to RASP1/2. The Regiment is NO place for a female - there are somethings I want to un-see that I saw some new Ranger joes doing to girls in the 6th RTB barracks outside of Eglin AFB. And another point is everyone in this class, and the classes after are going to come back with their shiny Tabs and are going to be laughed at and mocked as being part of the easy classes.

Regal movie theaters begin searching bags
CommsNBombs replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
I think that they would get the job done if they ENCOURAGED people to carry into the theater (obviously concealed, don't need ree-rees open carrying hand cannons in front of mommy and daughter)...I'd rather have a few shooters with me than have to jump under a seat with my wife and wait for the doucher to reload so I can pop his top with a .45 A lot of these things that happen have to do with SITUATIONAL AWARENESS! Holy hell - just like many of you mentioned before, you see the droves walking around with their faces in their phones or lazily strolling around and not paying attention. I'm always on high alert, scanning people coming in and out of stores, dead space, avenues of approach, fatal funnels...same thing while driving, I get cautious when people are following too close or changing lanes when I do. As Caster mentioned, there will be someone someday with a modicum of a brain, with a bit of tactical planning and maybe some Google-Fu explosives training that is going to go to an open air concert or a convention and start decimating people. Most of the people in these shootings are mentally deranged and/or unstable, lack the proper training or motivation and almost all of them have a death-wish. The Aurora shooting was the closest to a tactically planned mass murder but even that was botched. Not that I wish that will happen - travesties fuel the media monster, and paranoia is a killer in the long run, and the only thing people want to do is try to disarm folks. Most of us own at least one gun, hell I'd say most of us own a dozen - they can try to take them from us, I am not going to go out and about and make myself a soft target. Be trained. Be prepared. -
Trump would raise visa fees to pay for Mexican border wall
CommsNBombs replied to Ron_TN's topic in General Chat
Scorched Earth these idiots. Nothing good is coming out of Mexico and everyone knows it. Hell, nothing good has EVER come out of Mexico - the Spaniards learned that really quickly when they were dealing with soothsayers, heart-eaters, child-rapists and demigod Aztecs. The Visa thing will work but we need to drop the hammer on people who hire illegal immigrants. Businesses get away with murder in sanctuary cities, especially NYC - construction and contract work is as cut throat as you can get. Put a few business people in jail or fine them to Hell, gotta make a strong example and people will follow suit. Cut of the tax-payer aided programs - school money, welfare, foodstamps, COLA? Negative Ghost Rider, "no soup for you!" The visa program will not work over night but it will offset the cost. Tarriffs and an embargo or sanctions on Mexico will help too. No more military aid - Sorry broskis, 7th Special Forces Group and SOUTHCOM ain't coming to your rescue whenever the Sinoloa's knock over a SWAT team in Juarez. In fact, we just need to have an extended 50 mile containment area south of the wall - guarantee you can find some crazy bastards that'll volunteer to inhabit it and act with impunity off of US soil. Or take the soviet approach and release all the prisoners, organize them into squad size elements every 20 miles with a months worth of MREs, surplus M1911s and M1 Carbines and let them have at it. Do a year and you get a pardon - or you can F'off and head down South and join the other scumbags. Hell, send all these bleed heart liberals, college professors, Nation of Islam, NBPP and Al Sharpton packing too - sorry dudes, if you don't like it you can GTFO It will not be long before they start mass shipping Splinter and Shadow Cells north of the border, the Mexican gov't is so busy fighting the Cartel and fighting itself and dealing with dirty water they are not going to be privy to some Madrassa opening up in Baja California with 100 Chechen and Tunisian Salafist radicals that are able to get into Mexico b/c what the hell does Mexico know about Chechnya, Dagastan, Tartary or Tunis? -

It was definitely one of those meetings I do not want to reproduce. Good thing we met at his house and not the gas station! Took them to the range today and shot really good with all of them. Only problems was the range reloaded ammo is weak and dirty, and had bad crimps so they kept stovepiping - not a Glock problem. The Glock 43 and 30S are the next purchases. And maybe a Glock 34.
