Reason for the Glock was the firsf pistol I bought her was a HK VP9 that everyone was ranting and raving over. It is a nice pistol but I have gotten it to FTE, stovepipe and have ammo nose dive. Granted it might be the ammo but that worried me. She can take all of the Glocks except the 21 lol, I always wanted one. And yah, check twice is always needed, funny thing was he cleared it but left the magazine in, at first I felt bad about giving him so little money - not so much after hearing a 147gr scream over my ear lol. Oh and to add: Royal Range in Nashville is doing a $350 in store special on Shields tomorrow ETA: Have to show one of the flyers from their FB page

Ive always been partial to Smiths but the Shield is real nice, as everyone has pointed out. Granted for a few extra 20s you can get a G43 :D The SW9VE has good reviews, one of my soldiers has one...it handled alright didnt get to fire it. Tried out a Canik TP9 and the reviews are well worth the hype, really solid. I also like the Ruger SR9...had two of them, the trigger out the box on mine sucked really bad but they loosen up and can be had for cheap on Armslist. For carry I reccomend the SR9C. At that budget you are going to be hard pressed to find a good .45 Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Been a hell of a week of trades and buys for me. Thanks to TGO I finally lined up to moves to get these Glocks. Traded one of my SR9s for a Gen 2 Glock 19, the wife really likes it. Still hunting down a deal on a Glock 43 for her though. Thanks to a TGOer buying me out of my WASR I was able to get two others tonight...with a bit of an "oh shit" moment. Picked up Gen 4 G17 and G21. Both with Trijicon Night Sights, Ghost 3.5 Connectors and Ghost springs and extended mag releases. Got em for a steal at $790 for both. It was supposed to be $1150 but my buddy came late and while demonstrating disassembly, he popped off a 147gr +P next to my dome. Nothing like good old quality time with a fellow commo guy! Sorry for the bad cellphone pics.

Go with a WASR 10, had mine for 2 years and loved it. The AK platform is world renowned for a reason. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Reading, PA is a SH!THOLE! Went to college not far from there, and Holy Christ. I honestly felt more comfortable with my roommate in West Philly than over there, super sketchy.

FOX is slowly joining the rest of the liberal drive-by media-takeout. Hell, most people just watch idiots on YouTube like The Young Turks or Blaze or TMZ, stuff like this is a joke to them. Same old Roman Empire bullshit, instead of gladiators and prostiutes and legionnaires burning your village we have Hollywood actors, 17 year old Kardashian trash and the FBI or NSA balling you up. Distract Divide Deceive Rinse and Repeat That is all this is. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

The World of Contractor Work, All-Inclusive W2
CommsNBombs replied to CommsNBombs's topic in General Chat
I believe theyre just labeling it as contract work. He said that deductions would be made and she would get the remainder of the $44/hr...my math came out to it being a net of $38.6/hr which isnt too bad. The 401K option is 3% but apparently is voluntary, either way we'll start a Roth IRA after paying off the little remaining debt we have and closing on our house. Thanks for all the input and insight guys! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk -
The World of Contractor Work, All-Inclusive W2

I still got 3 years before I ETS. Obviously with a kid on the way the wife is staying CONUS and staying on the network/commo field suppprt side of the house and not tactical/combat radio systems. Not sure if this one needs a clearance, but she'll still rock it for another 3 years unless they suspend it when you join the Guard for some reason. She had been pummeling the recruiter with questions so far, just trying to figure out what we are on the hook for as far as taxation goes. 88K/yr to unfuck SharePoint users looks good on paper as a gross income, but if taxes are gonna rape us she will decide on the GS11 Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk -
The World of Contractor Work, All-Inclusive W2
CommsNBombs replied to CommsNBombs's topic in General Chat
It is an offer from some consulting firm through Dice, hiring out for Caterpillar. All that was offered was a $44/hr on a W2, all-inclusive but with corporate benefits like healthcare, dental, stock options, etc Obviously she'll opt out of the health care and vision as she will still be under my TriCare and in the Nat'l Guard. What I am specifically wondering is that $44/hr what she is ACTUALLY get paid? Or are there more deductions on it. From what I researched she will only be responsible for paying on 6.75% of that for Medicare and FICA. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk -
I find myself in General Chat more and more everyday it seems, reaching out to anyone who might know the nuances of Contractor work. The wife is transitioning out of Active Duty to the Nat'l Guard - with our kid due in December, and both of us on AD, that isn't conducive to raising a kid and we REFUSE to have some two-bit douchenugget babysitter or some asshat family member watch and raise them in our stead...anyway, I digress (sorry, it's been a bad week). Anyways - she applied to be a Microsoft troubleshooter/field technician for some Company. Turns out it is a contract, the Company hired a firm to handle it, and from what I have researched it definitely seems like a Contractor position. The job is in Nasvhille, and we live in Clarksville so there will be the obvious 100 mile/day commute, and they offered her an All-Inclusive $44/hr on W2. Not that we really expected them to pick up the tab on that - but she drives an EcoBoost Focus which gets around 38MPG highway so there is that... What I am trying to figure out, is I know the Company itself takes care of some of the taxes but... 1) Is that $44/hr AFTER all is said and done? I don't want that $44/hr turning into $7/hr after all the deductions are made 2) Is there any tax we are responsible for paying on that? I'm going to assume Medicare and SS Has anyone here worked on an All-Inclusive W2 before? How does it stack up versus full-time employment? Granted, I am sure once she gets the whole contract agreement we will know more about hours and everything - but I mean the general vibe. The contractors I worked with in the Army thus far have been some of the smartest people I've met but they always keep that knowledge to themselves and they've all been REALLY lazy and never do something when it is supposed to be done - then they freak out if you somehow fix the issue before they get there. Obviously companies differ, but any insight will help because Google is not being helpful today! Thanks in Advance.

THIS! Between steaks that I want cooked Rare/Medium Rare getting jacked up and the same for tuna steaks...don't know what irks me more. I do not ever send them back though, I've seen what happens to food in NYC that gets sent back...granted, this isn't "the hood" but still, no go I don't want baby gravy on my steak. Now - Texas Roadhouse her on Wilma Rudolph Blvd in Clarksville knows how to cook a steak! Even the Applebees doesn't jack it up Then there was that time I ordered a steak from...Dennys (I know, I know)...and then asked for it Rare (Still tracking)...yah that was just raw and had a piece of tapeworm or something in it. Settled on pancakes and got a free meal.

Just to add to a PITA week I am already having...I am going to share something that just happened 10 minutes ago. If anyone didn't know, I'm currently AD Army stationed on Campbell and been trying to sell my WASR-10. One of my coworkers asked me to send him a picture and typed his number into my phone...apparently he fat-fingered my touch screen and put a "0" where there should have been a "1" A few minutes later I get a call from a Louisiana number - from a VERY IRATE lady working at a counseling clinic of some sorts, she was demanding to know who I am. A quick synopsis: Her: WHO ARE YOU?! Me: Umm, I don't know this number so who are you? Her: Well I just received a picture of a machine gun at my work phone and called the police to file a threat report! Then...I knew what had happened. Instead of SGT So-and-So getting my picture, apparently it got sent to the work phone of a youth counselor near Ferguson....holy crap. She said she called the police to file a hate crime report or something. Finally explained the situtation to her: 1) It is not a Machine Gun 2) I am a resident of Tennessee and in the Army 3) It is a legal weapon 4) This is a big misunderstanding. She lightened up after that - kudos to her confronting the threat, I apologized and she said she would call of the Local PD and tell them it was a misunderstanding - hopefully CID or some other wierdos do not come and try to ball me up over this, it would just add to the level of stupidity that I am undergoing lol. So folks, make sure you confirm the number of the person you are trying to text before you send it. Especially if they do not say it to you. Hopefully nothing more comes of this...

First off the key is having one of those heavy bowl style margarita glasses...unless you fly a rainbow flag, vote for Hillary, have fear of guns or it is for a delicate lady friend DO NOT put it in a martini glass for Christ's Sake! After blessing it with the blood of virgins on the 2nd harvest moon stick it in your freezer Then rim your glass in sour orange or lemon and liberally apply kosher salt I like to load my margaritaville juice hot! 4 squeezed limes and a squeezed sour orange (lemon works if you cant acquire that) 2 shots of triple sec (or contraue [sp?]) 4 shots of cabo wabo reposado (or Camerena as Mike357 mentioned) I still like Jose Gold especially if youre knocking them down...or Patron if your a 2-cent Brentwood millionaire [emoji14] I add a half a shot of fresca or sierra mist for crispness, pineapple juice also works but a hint! Ice aplenty Repeat to achieve desried intoxication! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

44 Mag Loads for Desert Eagle
CommsNBombs replied to CommsNBombs's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
That is what I have heard about it. Sucks most of those archived topics on the interwebz turned into "I is more better than you at reloadin bruh" really quick. Especially CalGuns...well it is Kali. Im kind of stuck with multi-brass as the guy I traded my ACR to gave me a bunch of nickel plated JSPs (about 75) and just regular 300gr XTP in Starline brass. The DEagle is still more of a range toy to me and something fun to play around with. The recoil was very underwhelming, it is hyped up way too bad. I will try out the load you gave me - I am sure that the TC .44 Mag I was shooting was using a different powder and a whole lot less of it. -
Bottom line up front: I am absolutley at a loss for loading for this mammoth. Guess that's the price to pay for overcompensating, eh? :P I was able to cycle 240gr JSP nickel plated rounds no problem. The problem came when I was using 240gr FMJ loads from my local range (MCSC) made by Tennessee Cartridge, LLC from Oakland, TN...more times than not it would fail to eject, let alone chamber the next round. Took the whole weapon apart, my springs are new, the gas port isn't fouled and the ejector is good to go. So I highly doubt it is a problem with the weapon itself - otherwise I wouldn't have been able to shoot those JSPs. So: I've been doing some research, CalGuns has a decent amount of info on it but nothing specific; notably just 240 gr bullets with 28gr of H110. Is there any specific cases, primers and/or bullet manufacturers and OAL I should be using with that? Or does anyone have a specific recipe with everything mapped out? I can't seem to find a consensus from the forums I have torn through and would like anyone's opinion/insight here on the matter. It also doesn't help I am new to reloading and I do not know much about the tolerances of the .44 Mag either. I'll probably be exclusively staying with 240gr JHP either way. Thank you all in advance.

Id just sent him to Syria to fight with the Peshmerga...either way he will get what he wants and what we want 1) He shoots at Peshmerga and dies ; win-win...he dies and he kills some Syrian PPK people (theyre still terrorists to regardless if they fight ISIS) 2) He kills ISIS dudes and dies in a firefight 3) He eats his gun 4) He marries a goat Wins all around. Lol. Sounds like the NBPP preaching "Death to da crackas" in Harlem. I blew a kiss at of them, he almost died. This guy, and other ultra-nationalist scumbags like him can follow these instructions: 1) Find the nearest homosexual whale rally 2) Get bent at said rally 3) Waddle to my house, knock three times and say "Death to the Whiteys" 4) Await my selection of ammo.
