  1. LOL, those were great!
  2. I like the show. Learn a little each time, but also "roll my eyes" at some of the staged drama on them. Oh-well, they gotta keep the ratings to stay on the air. I like to see the alternate view points on the same situation.
  3. Ditto, their last few videos have been lame.
  4. BigNoise, I work just down the road from you I work on Crescent Dr off of Schilling Blvd E.
  5. I started with a Lee Classic Turret loader, you can usually get a "kit" with everything you need but the dies. The thing I liked about the turret loader is that you can remove the indexing rod and the loader acts like a single stage. Once you are comfortable loading put the rod back in and you can load a little faster. I wouldn't call it a true progressive, kinda like a step in between a single stage and progressive. I've upgraded to a dillon SDB loader, nice but it only does pistol rounds, I can do my rifle rounds on the lee, which I shoot far fewer rifle than I do pistol, so it's a nice trade off. This is the kit I started with: Lee 4 Hole Turret Press with Auto Index Deluxe Kit - MidwayUSA
  6. The show was OK, don't care for all the "oh i'm gonna vote for so&so because.." "oh wait I changed my mind", etc. I record the show, and fast forward through the drama sections, to get to the "shooting" portions. I did like the shooting through the tubes. Shooting on a zip line, yeah, that'd be FUN Next week archery
  7. Well the wife and I got a chance to "celebrate" the new law last night. Went to Bahama Breeze in Memphis. So nice to be legal again
  8. Yes, they leaders "wanted" to, but they did not. It was decided that they would help provide protection for the cattle farmers in exchange for some cattle. The Prof also said it would be bad to go to the people that prepared and confiscate their food. Instead he offered that if the people that prepared wanted food coupons, then they would have to surrender any supplies they had. What got me the prof. really only got to keep his car because of who he knew, and they almost lost it while going to the next town. Guess it would be time to go mad max and rig the car should it be stolen.
  9. I've read the book, twice. It is an excellent, sobering read. Many people like to compare OSA and LightsOut by Halfast. There is no comparison in my book. OSA does deal with some of the harsh realities, at least in my opinion, that we may face should an EMP hit the U.S. I look at it like a learning tool. What did they have to do to survive and how can that relate to me.
  10. Is it now law, or is there a 45 day wait like the last time they overruled the governor? Thanks
  11. Nope, manufactured in the good ol' USofA U. S. Product Safety Commission Nationwide Recall 12 Million "Shrek" Drinking Glasses at McDonald's - The Emergency Email & Wireless Network .......... www. EmergencyEmail.ORG ........ NewsEmergency.com
  12. Depends on the dog. A good high quality dog will get sauerkraut & mustard (just like a brat). Now, one of my ex-BIL showed me that a cold dog with a little peanut butter was delicious!! Yeah, I know sounds gross, but I actually like it
  13. I worked for Domino's for about 3 months delivering pizza's. I carried everyday, and did not tell anybody about it. I delivered to some not so good areas of Memphis and some "good" areas of Bartlett. I used a smart carry holster, it takes a little getting used to, but it works. SmartCarry - Concealed Gun Holsters
  14. I have gone to Range USA with my 5 yr old daughter a few times, never a problem. Aziroth, you might want to call back up there for confirmation.
  15. +1 for truecrypt. I have a thumbdrive that has a truecrypt volume on it.
  16. I have one and love it!! PM me if you wanna give it a try!
  17. I plan on taking a CERT class. Memphis/Shelby County Emergency Management Agency - CERT Best of all, it's FREE training!!
  18. Had 3.5" on the van before I cleared it off and drove to work this morning. Now I'm just waiting for the rain/sleet to start so the office can close and I get to drive back home in this crap!
  19. The web based BC were not working Friday night or Saturday. So not only did the phone calls stop, ALL background checks stopped. Why the website was down, I don't know, but it was.
  20. I just picked up a RIA Tactical. It's been reliable 100% so far. Call Rang USA and see what their price is for the RIA, it should fall within your budget.
  21. One way, look at the amount of free disk space on your hard drive, then delete the files from the recycle bin, and look at the amount of free disk space on your hard drive again. Personally, I have my "recycle bin" set to automatically delete files as they are delete. I don't like having to delete files twice. And, just why type of "pictures from work" were these?

    1911 Help

If you want to be come very familiar with it, then check out Range USA's 1911 A&P course. They'll teach you how to completely disassemble your firearm (and how to put it back together again). Anatomy & Physiology
  23. I'd go with at least one year of drying. I'm originally from MN, and for 20+ years wood was the primary heat in the house. So yeah, I helped cut, split, & stack quite a bit of wood in my lifetime. Eventually I will get a wood stove in my house, just not the house I'm in right now. For splitting wood, I've done the maul/axe thing, the "I"-beam splitter, and a "corkscrew" on a PTO. Of those the fastest was the corkscrew, also the most dangerous.
  24. President Obama Signs Executive Order Establishing Council of Governors | The White House Direct from the white house!!! Anybody else have any concerns about this?
  25. I loved it, real or not. Actually, I hope it was real. :bowrofl:
