  1. Nice. Let us know how you like it. The thermal market has exploded the last two years!
  2. Hard to beat a beretta 68X series. Just decide how nice of wood you can afford and go from there. I’ve shot a few 686 and 687 and they are my preference.
  3. I got to fondle one of these. My lcp may go down the road......
  4. $125
  5. Well I scored one on GB. Changed my mind and went with the 308.
  6. Here’s a pic of it. I’ve got the skull at the taxidermy for a euro mount. Rig is an 18” 6.5 Grendel with a 762SDN6 and a Pulsar Trail XP50. Convergent systems bullet caller. 3mins of the Glenn Guess Rally Call did the trick. First one I have called in.
  7. It’s a pulsar trail XP50. I have a few buddies that have 384core scopes, it’s a 640 core and way clearer.
  8. Got another decent one this weekend in south Arkansas. Had my scope settings all jacked up so not as clear as it usually is. Set up calling about 3mins and this joker came right down the middle of the road. 263lbs. IMG_6452.MOV
  9. Thought this was hilarious although I do like me some Texas brisket.
  10. I didn’t fondle the tikka. Will next time for sure.
  11. I checked out the fieldcraft, the Christiansen arms, and a Remington 700 mountain the other day. Of those three I preferred the fieldcraft but it was the most expensive ($1849). The Remington 700 was $995, add a trigger and it should be good to go. I didn’t care for the Christiansen, it had the carbon fiber wrapped barrel. I did not make a purchase yet.
  12. Thanks. I’ll check there tomorrow
  13. Thanks for the feedback. What’s a decent price on one? Seen a few on GB for 2000-2400
  14. Dang those are some good pics. Nice job
  15. Anyone have one, or shot one. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts/opinions on the platform. Looking at 6.5creedmore for an upcoming hunt in Wyoming.
  16. I’ve got a council hatchet I keep in the truck and loan out as needed but the small forest axe from gransfors (or any of their products) is what you seek. I’ll never sell mine. if you are on a budget the husqvarna and stihl offerings are decent too along with the aforementioned council. Few coats of boiled linseed oil on the handles and you are good to go. One coat every day for a week. One coat every week for a month and one coat every month for a year.
  17. Are there any open GMRS repeaters in Nashville. Might check that first.
  18. Those tac-tx bullets, especially the 120s get it done at close/medium ranges in 300bo. That’s what my hunting buddies shoot.
  19. Wow. Nice comparison pics.
  20. I’ve been renting cabins at various state parks and hitting the “trails” in the various state forests. Some are decent. Most are pretty tame but lots of nice scenery and very little traffic. Here’s my rig but dang those FJ40s are sweet.
  21. My brother runs the Primary Arms SLx6 1-6x24 on his 300 blackout. I’ve shot it some and the glass was fine. No issues.
  22. The struggle is real.
  23. Get the marlin. And I’m telling you with 100% certainty the 30-30 is a stone cold killer of hogs. I use a 160grn ftx bullet and it has NEVER failed to deliver.
  24. You can eat them. Find the ones you shoot that don’t smell rank and follow these instructions, especially the cooler part.
