  1. I found this idea from this youtube video. Mount the clipdraw to a flashlight. Works great. I was skeptical about the tape at first but after it sets up it holds good. Starts talking about the clipdraw at about 9 minutes.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyBgMpTYYv4

  3. I quit looking for one last year and had the LGS here put me on their list for one. They called me last Tuesday and said they had one for me. $389 plus tax/tics.
  4. Thanks TN   My guess is they havent worked well in his courses. Rob Pincus says the same thing, compact 1911s dont work well through a multi-day course. There is a short video on youtube where Pincus talks about 1911 failures in his classes.
  5. Glock 19 IWB in a Crossbreed Supertuck. I think I have only seen 3 people open carry. A tow truck driver that drops cars off at the shop from time to time, 1 of our customers, and a guy at Great Clips.
  6. I dont own a 1911 so I am good there.lol
  7.  PRI has Handgun II in Franklin on Sept 14-15 and Tom Givens is going to be teaching a Handgun course that same weekend in Camden, TN. Was going to sign up for PRI but then found out about the Tom Givens course. Would like input from people that have taken a course from either, but especially from people that have been to both. thanks
  8. Thanks, I just need to get some bigdots and a holster for it an I'll be set. For the gun not the impact.lol
  9. Finally picked up a Shield 9mm. I was put on the list for 1 at the LGS sometime last year. They called me on Tuesday and I picked it up that evening. Awesome little gun, it will do great to replace the PF9 that I sold last year. Not gun related but I think I might be more excited about it than the Shield. Picked up this cordless impact a couple weeks ago and it is AWEOME.
  10. Thats pretty cool. Reminds me of an article I read about Mercedes using electric sloenoids to open the valves. Not sure if they ever went into production with it.
  11. What is the tag number going to do for the police? Just because you were at that park at that time doesnt mean you are breaking the law. Are they going to write everybody a ticket?
  12. No reason to pass on Tulla primers, they are good primers.
  13. I think this is a good first hand review of the event.   https://www.facebook.com/notes/bill-hobbs/train-wreck/10151628303889486
  14. http://www.tullahomanews.com/?p=15360   So who is going?
  15. 1. AK47 2. Glock 19 3. AK47 w/ bayonet attached
  16. Looks like to me it has a hole all the way thru it. Seems to me, if you were to shoulder it it would be no different than shouldering the pistol buffer tube.
  17. I need to get some primers and powder, but probly have to wait til the Murfreesboro gun show.
  18. Yep, there was a couple more in there to.
  19. Guess I never posted pics. Here is a pic of some I cast this afternoon.
  20. Canted sights is the most common problem with AKs, have heard Arsenal even sends them out with canted sights. My Saiga's front sight is canted a little, not enough for me to worry about but it is canted.   The magazine is going to wobble side to side a little, just make sure it is not excessive. Wobble front to rear should be 0.   Some AK74s were built with 5.56 barrels instead of 5.45 barrels. I believe this was mostly, or all, a century issue.   Century has a 1 year warranty, but it doesnt start at consumer purchase it starts either the day it was built or the day it leaves Century.   Have heard IO is on par with Century, but I have never owned either so I have no personal experience.   Saigas are good but require a little work to convert.   Polytechs are good but expensive, Mak90s and Egyptian Maadis are good but require parts to convert. They are easier to convert than a Saiga.   Waffen Works makes a good AK but they only make AK74s, they havent got into the AK47 yet.
  21. Went today. 9mm $60/100, 22lr $80/500, $200 stripped lowers, ARs $900+, tula primers $33/1k, 9mm Zero bullets $70/500
  22. I agree completely that it wouldnt matter. I was just thinking about it and dont remember ever seeing the topic on here and didnt find anything in search results. This has actually stayed on topic better than I expected.
  23. Global warming, HA. People are so naive to think we could cause global warming. The air may be a little dirtier than it was 500 years ago, but thats about it. Besides this global warming they speak of is what 1/2 or 1 degree or something right?
