It appears that the Immigration and Customs Service do the investigating; and the Immigration and Customs Service is a part of DHS.... I'll grant that making counterfeit stuff is a criminal offense... I aint so sure about simply selling it... The "door kickin" commentary still doesnt change... I would say to all of those who think the DHS raid on counterfeit stuff is ok in the kindest possible way; just think about this a bit....      Number one; "... where is the "probable cause" and the warrant for this search?.... .  Number two;.... just why does DHS have jurisdiction in this particular case?...  Number three;... Just what is the justification for a full armed "commando assault" (...if it, indeed, was an armed assault...) on this business?... Number 4; suppose for a minute or two that you are a law abiding business man that has through no fault of your own, unknowingly bought some contraband or counterfeit merchandise.... What about your door; does it need kickin down too?...   Folks, this stuff aint ok; and no amount of lipstick smeared on this pig by the appologizers for government and those citizens who dont like counterfeit gucci bags will make it ok... Folks need to see to it that this stuff is handled thru the courts and not thru the antics of the apparatchiks of the "ABC" bureaus of government... If these guys can kick the "might-be counterfeiter's" doors in; they can kick yours in too...   West Wind Mike is exactly right about this... It's a civil issue and should be handled in the civil courts... Sadly, that wont be decided until some "fortunate son" is wronged and this sort of thing goes to the federal courts....This is more government "ABC" bureaucracy abuse, pure and simple... Thanks for takin the time to post it...   My take is that we are simply being pushed along by liberal ideology and the usual robber baron stuff; and not by some diabolical, murderous conspiracy of evil geniuses bent on destroying this country... Harry Reid is a crook who has been made a milionaire at the gubmt trough... Republican luminaries like Mitch McConnell aint much better...Barak Obama is a nincompoop with narcissistic tendencies and a communist upbringing ALA the usual college professor syndrome who has no idea of what he is doin other than he can do what he wants with his subordinates and to dream of being the father of the Amerikan Utopia... I simply dont see these people as evil geniuses; they are crooks, reprobates, mental midgets, and demigogues; nothin more...   The US federal gubmt has become the new Roman Empire and two branches of the federal gubmt and their "ABC" apparatchiks in the govt bureaucracy is runnin wild, ruling against the real citizenry and is simply offering "food and the circus" to the non-productive among us... That wont last too long; simply because it cant sustain it's self....   I do believe that if they keep pushin, you are gonna see the state's rights thing come back with a vengeance just like it did before the Civil War... And i think that has been goin on for quite a while...   I dont think there will be a war this time; because the people involved don't have the stomach for it... Because we have freedom of travel here in this country; people will move (...ive got 35 year old neighbors from Long Island, NY who left their families to get away from the "blue state" thing... They wanted to keep their own money....), and the red states will simply get redder and richer and the blue states will get bluer and poorer...  The blue states will try to pick the pockets of the red states; but it simply wont work... The country will devolve into a loose confederation of states where "birds of a feather flock together"...    The statists will loose the most of the battles at the federal court level just like they are doin now; and the Constitution will be preserved as the supreme law of the land... The reason for that is not the integrity of the justices and the love of the rule of law--- far from it... The reason is that both sides of the political spectrum are intently watchin and hopin for a bad ruling...The federal judiciary, for the most part i think, understands that very well; and in a back-handed way, they are actually protecting the citizenry and themselves thru sane intrepretations of constitutional law...It's a self preservation thing to the federal judiciary and a "God Send" to the citizenry, i think....   Remember this; if the executive or legislative branch can make and enforce un-constitutional law; they can banish the courts... That simply aint gonna happen... The federal level judiciary well knows that; and that is why you are seein the provisions of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights being upheld with such great regularity... Who would have ever thought that the 21st century would have brought about the Heller decision... That sort of thing has not happened in over a hundred years...   More than that, the feminization of our society has resulted in the "feminization" of the would be jack-booted thugs it would take to implement this sort of thing...Where are you gonna find the hardened thugs that it would take to implement this sort of thing?... I certainly don't think they are in the military today....   I say this whole thing is an interesting diversion that means nothing in the big scheme of things... There's gonna be another election, and it's commin soon... What's goin on now aint a recipe for another winner for the sorts of folks that dream of being dictators...   All that bein said; i think we should be vigilant, keep our powder dry, vote, and see to it that the sort of thing the article talks about doesn't happen...   leroy

To add a bit to the SA whites vs blacks thing; the white farmers are evidently being picked off one at a time in nighttime raids by black thugs, being tortured, then killed... If ya look a bit at the world news or do a google search ya can find out lots of details ya dont want to know...   Most of the folks being murdered are 60 or older and are out in the boonies a good way; most likely old Boerer families with extensive land holdings that are descendents of the original white settlers... The government always "condemns" these acts; but they never seem to catch any perpetrators and the land belonging to the murdered folks have always seems to revert to the gubmt... There are many who believe that that these "death squads" are either government sanctioned; or, at the minimum, the gubmt is turnin a blind eye to the violence ALA the Holder INJustice Department...   Things are pretty bad in South Africa for both black and white folks right now; and i dont see that changing much as long as ya have the gubmt they have now... The fact is that the white government wuz a much better steward and protector of the citizens of South Africa than this bunch that the "Mandela Revolution" brought in... I've been whatchin to see exactly what happens down there when the black thugs get brave enough to try the Chinese with this sort of thing...   I'm a relatively old geezer (...67...), and ive got a high school buddy whose father was a missionary to the old Rhodesia (....now Zimbabwe...) in the sixties... To add to what others have posted; ill join the chorus of good reports... We have a pair 51 navies, a whitneyville dragoon, and a remington 58... They are all exceptionally well made inside and out... My 24 year old used the pair of 51 navies extensively and i smithed them a bit to smooth up the actions... They shoot very well and are very accurate...   All that bein said; im sure the cartridge models are just as good or better... I dont think ya can buy a better replica single action army for the price... All that from a bunch that has a safe full of rugers (...old and new models...) and several colt saa's...   I say buy and use with confidence....   leroy

Tanker:  i'm no more happy about the republicans and the democrats than you are...  We know what the democrats are... We are beginning to know what the republicans are... There are two factions of them... the "bluenose" insider harvard educated captain of industry type moderates who care nothing for what you and i believe, and are continually doin what your no count inlaw or sorry brother or sister does... They hit ya up for some dough (...for the fiftieth time...) and say they "....are sorry and wont do it again".... Its a dammed lie and most all real republicans know it... The insider wing of the republican party cares nothing for principles nor do they care for this country...   They care for two things; the first, that they have a piece of the pie no matter who sits on top... the second is that everything is a deal... When everything is a deal you have no core values...   I well remember when my sainted mom (...who worked in ever election in our neighborhood precinct, and who wuz a rabid "New Deal Democrat"...) whould say that the dammed republicans cared for no one but themselves... It turns out, in this case, she wuz exactly right...    The "insider"republicans are waging a war against this country just like the democrats are... They care nothing for the future of this country and are content to have their pockets lined by special interest just like the democrats do... They just have a different set of pets... They have evidently made a conscious decision to drive off what i would term "conservative, small government" republicans like most of us (...and most republicans, period...) are... Its a classic case of a small minority manipulating a large organization against the will of the majority...   On a personal basis, i think they are done... I think they have murdered the republican party by driving off the "conservative, small government republican" contingent.... The republican party "bluenose" faction will ultimately have to morph into a faction of the democrat party; because they believe nothin you and i believe about anything... They, in fact, are selling you, me, your kids, my kids, and the country out and lining their pockets...  That's why i think you are seeing this red state/blue state thing commin up...People are gettin sick of both parties at the national level and they are voting at the state level to see that the federal powers are curbed...    The dammed democrats and the "inside the beltway" bluenose republicans all think it's 1933 and everyone is ignorant.... That's simply not the case... There is a class war goin on and most people understand that... Its a battle between the "gimmee's" and those who want to work and keep their money and their freedoms...  As things stand now, both parties have gravitated toward the "gimmee's"...    Ive got a 24 year old in college who hates both parties because of exactly what we are discussing right now...  He is not unique in his political views and he and others like him will ultimately change the political landscape... That alternative is a populist movement represented, in large part, by the Tea Party; so ya shouldnt be surprized that that particular movement would either be used as a spoiler by the established party operatives on both sides; and/or blasphemed by both the established political parties... The truth is that they are afraid, and they well should be....   Ill close by sayin this; this country was founded largely by individualists who would not bow down to a far away king nor a pope... They risked life and limb to come to this country to start a new life... They whupped the superpower of their day to found this country...  I'll grant that we've come a long way down from that rugged individualist beginning; but i still think there is a large portion of people in this country who aint interested in bowin down to the god of government as both the dammed democrats and blue nose republicans would have us do... And that portion of people is beginning to be heard in the populist movements like the Tea Party... I say, let the Virginians have their dammed McAluffee and the "Mongoloid Sons of Marx" have their DeBasio and "chubs" Christie... Folks; i wouldnt read too much into this Virginia thing.... Virginia isnt really representative of the whole country... Too many concentrations of bureaucrats and african americans in several places (.... demographics; white-65%, black-19%, hispanic-8%....)... Virginia simply aint the norm... The state house lower chamber is about 75/25 republican/democrat, and the upper chamber is 50/50 republican/democrat...     Sit aside what the "republican machine" did or didnt do a minute and think about this for a while:.... The greatest democrats of 'em (...the clintons...) politiced for McAuliffe; along with obama.... The democrats outspent the republicans 3 to one in general help and about 9 to one with media advertizing; yet McAuliffe won by a hair... If i wuz the democrats i would be real afraid of what that really means....  The fact is that virginia is, at best, a purple state turnin blue... There are plenty of washington bureaucrats in northern virginia; and the virginia coast looks a lot more like the interior of south carolina than the old dominion...   That bein said, im no more happier about these half-wit b*****ds on both sides of the political spectrum than anyone else... The republican establishment is makin a big mistake by declaring war on the populist movement... Two places come to mind.... Look at Collector's Firearms in Tx, and Cherry's Fine Guns websites (...just google 'em...)... The Collector's apprasials are a bit high (....i think...).  The Cherry's appraisals are pretty well right (...i think...)...  Be aware, there are "greater and lesser' python models... Unusual guns sell higher (....nickel, long  barrels, short barrels, etc...)... The more "mainline' models are a bit less expensive...
