  1. The Doctor was IN yesterday getting a holster and telling funny stories (ask him about getting the old phone number of the Chicago alderman). Weren't you going to get that air rifle, Mikey?
  2. It was primarily Oswald, who bought his Mannlicher Carcano from Sears by mail order. If he had just gone to his local hardware store, none of this would have happened.
  3. I have no problem with them doing that. I had no problem with eBay forbidding guns and now any part that allows the gun to shoot. Their stupid move allowed good players like GunBroker and AuctionArms to thrive. Similarly there will be provider replacements for credit card companies that discriminate against gun owners, because gun owners are a very large number of the public.
  4. You ever seen anyone with a CW9 shoved---never mind.
  5. There's more truth there than you know....
  6. I hate H&K's so that kind of narrows it down a little.
  7. Oh, Hi POWER. I thought he meant High Standard. Nevermind.....
  8. Bingo. The Hi Power is a classic design and was probably the most popular gov't issue gun ever. Of course I'm biased here.
  9. You ever seen a Browning Sweet Sixteen shoved-- Never mind. I still don't see how anyone is going to trace it back to anything. If the gun were used to assasinate the President or something, maybe.
  10. No it is not legal. Now, how is anyone going to find out about it?
  11. But they're so cute! Next time try a 30-06.
  12. I've never seen an IDPA gun that was radically modified. Rules are very strict for this sort of thing and I doubt a heavily modified gun would pass muster. A lot of clubs are probably lenient about what they will allow in club matches.
  13. Boy, what a gross misunderstanding of CDNN's operation and Federal law. As well as contract law. I await lawsuits.
  14. Substitute any state that has adopted reasonable carry laws for MI and the result will be the same. And I wish to heck someone would outlaw the phrase "packing heat" in regard to legal CCW. Makes us sound like characters from a gangster movie. I mean, what do you think would happen if you read a story about decreased homosexual activity in New Orleans that said "fewer residents of New Orleans are packing fudge these days"??

    Coffee maker

I'd hate to hear your opinions on a French letter.
  16. And of course a grocery store as well, regardless whether they sell alcohol or not.
  17. Boy you're really asking for it.
  18. You mean if you ask the same state agency the same question at two different times you might get two completely different and contradictory answers? Nahh, can't be.
  19. I did email them. It did not cost me $200. They look at the sale as having taken place between the out of state dealer and the purchaser, who is then on the hook for the use tax. The in-state dealer is merely effecting transfer so no tax due. But other than being wrong on all points your post was helpful.
  20. No,not unless they have spelled it out already in their contract.
  21. Was it just me or did anyone else have the first thought on seeing the thread title "Better guard the women and cattle!"??
  22. The Rabbi

    My newest gun.

Darn I knew there was something I was forgetting. It was like, "stance, grip, trigger squeeze.um..umm..."
  23. I'm pretty sure there is more to this than meets the eye. CDNN can always sue for breach of contract.
  24. Strictly for public consumption. As legislation it is DOA.
  25. No the best thing is to keep the gun deeply concealed. This way the only time someone is going to know about it is when you shoot the miscreant. And then you come under the Safe Harbor act and it's OK.
